Sometimes I feel like I should. But Why should I feel that way? The past is behind me. Obviously there's no way to go back. So instead I look forward to the future, and I end up seeing how much potential my life actually has. Regret exists, guilt exists, SO WHAT? It's all in the past. Times change. All that is before me. And after I keep thinking about however much crap I had to go through before, compared to where it has brought me and the good that lies ahead, I would never want to go back. The present and future are too precious to waste time lingering in the past.

I went to school early, like, before the gates fully open. I had the key to my classroom and the Audio-Visual room where our instruments were kept. I always, and I stress 'always', take my guitar out, grab a chair, sit down and play until the flag ceremony starts. A whole 2 and a half hours... I play small snippets of songs, gently as I can... and that 'Home' song in Undertale, is among my personal favorite to play. Everyday, nearly every student and teacher to come after I do, through that schoolgate, always heard me playing. I take the feeling I get of knowing that even if they don't know who I am, or why I do this, that they get to hear music whenever they come in... was it my way of expressing the feelings I have in everyday, I'm not sure... but I'm hoping they get to remember that time as some 'time' and 'place' they can 'come' to, whenever they had problems, or are lost...
figured i’d document.. i played undertale with two of my best friends back in 6thgrade. we’ve all established that that phase of our lives was cringe and moved on, but i haven’t really taken into account all of the memories i’ve had attached to this game.. sitting here, typing this with tears in my eyes as i remember all of the good times i spent with these people. i’ve moved away from them and listening to this video made me remember the beginning of our friendships, and how i shouldn’t take things like that for granted.. so thank you.

aw c'mon man you're gonna make me cry by reading that... I remember back when I was seven years old or so and playing Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. Just listening to the Comet Observatory theme made me break down and cry. I didn't know how bad my life was, didn't know all the pain I'd been going through for years and would go through for years more. And now I'm no longer in so much pain. Going back to a time when everything was just... okay, listening to that song again, that changed me. Our pasts hold so much more meaning than we think, for we don't remember them all the way. Remember your friends through these songs, dude, just as I remember my good times with the songs in Super Mario Galaxy; they're important, just like you. This game saved my life. I know, how cliché, but I was back in eighth grade, I wanted to go study in another school, and yet I still had to pass my exams with great scores to qualify to the other school. At the time, Undertale became a great comfort for me, so I played it, watched playthroughs, listened to the OST constantly, and drew every single character from the game. It was an inspiration. My exams came, I was nervous and honestly, I screwed up immensely on my Math exam, I got a terrible grade, my teacher called all my class "Stupid kids" because barely anyone passed, and no one knew if we were even going to be able to pass the CLASS. I was really depressed back then, like, I mean, su/cidal tendencies and even attempts, and I was 14 at the time. The depression started back when I was 9. It was a terrible time because I felt like I failed everyone, my parents, my teachers, my friends, I felt like by not passing the class it was the end of my life. Undertale kept me sane, playing it kept me alive, listening to the music, hell, even drawing Chara became a big comfort for me. Then the time came, I couldn't escape reality anymore, I had to go see what my grade for the class was. I was nervous, I remember I cried on my way to school. I received the paper with my overall grades from all the classes. I passed, barely, but I passed. I took back my tears, but I was so happy, that when I returned home I started crying while listening to Memory, repeating to myself "It's over, everything's ok, you're ok now". Undertale may have become kind of a cringy memory for some, for me, it became one of the comfort games I go back to to this day. Thank you for reading this! I've seen a lot of people posting their stories here, so here's my own: I got into Undertale around fifth grade, and it was *life-changing* for me. My mom never let me play any video games that involved fighting (Me and my therapist had to work together on an essay so that I could play CUPHEAD), so the fact that there was this cool game with funny characters that was all about not having to fight was really exciting. I was your typical cringey child fan for a while ("Frans", bad fankid OCs, impossible theories), but overall I think it changed me for the better. Undyne and Alphys's relationship helped me come to terms with my sexuality, Papyrus served as one of my first comfort characters, and the game motivated me to try creating my own original art and characters. So, thanks, Toby. Five years have passed, and your game has still remained amazing.

Listening to these songs again brings me back to when I would obsess over this game. I would listen to the songs over and over to where I know every beat drop and tune by heart and I know where their song plays. I would draw cute little drawings of all the characters in the middle of class. At home I would play the game and obsess over the magnificently written story line and how I feel like I have somehow connected with each character. I remember I even met a group of people on undertale amino who I became friends with and thinking about all the memories we have made together over the past 1 1/2 years has made me very happy. Without undertale who knows how boring my life would have been. All of my memories that I have made because of this game. Just thinking about the story line and memories I have made gives me a bittersweet feeling of nostalgia. If only I could just reset and relive that life over again.
Whenever I hear any song from Undertale I'm always hit with the flashbacks of the good old days. I would remember sitting in my old bed in my tiny yet comfortable room, my computer sitting on my lap as Undertale _(I was too poor to get the real thing, so I got the cracked version lol)_ was shown on the monitor revealing that I was halfway into the pacifist route. I would be facing the window that led to the balcony that held vegetables that my Grandma and Mom grew back in 2009. There would be white transparent currents over the big window as well as a screen that would keep the flies away, yet a hole on the bottom which I had accidentally made with clippers and boredom as a child would prove its attempts useless. A purple playing mat was laying next to my bed with a brown cabinet behind it. A small metal locker was on the right of the mat and behind the locker was a big mattress covered with sheets, blankets, and pillows. The mattress was also in front of the window which had a hotel with orange tinted glasses that would reflect the sunlight when it was afternoon. I always caught myself staring at the light, it colored the room with a beautiful summer tone. My room was very small, and my family, at that time, consisted of Grandma, Mom, and I along with the usual visits of my uncle and auntie. There would also be the occasional kids my Grandma would babysit as a job, I made friends with them but I've only ever been in touch with one of the kids as of today. It was a very simple time when I was comfortable with my life. I never complained about the lack of riches, it was enough for me. But it was all taken away when we went bankrupt and I had to move to various places. We barely had any electricity or money, food was scarce and I had to drop out of school since 2017. But it was my determination that brought me here, my determination to move on, live, and make my family proud. It wasn't just that of course, Undertale and many other games as well as cartoons and friends has molded me to the person I am today as they have taught me things school couldn't. I'm very thankful that Toby fox made this game. If he hadn't, then the AU community wouldn't be here as well as the thousands of fan games inspired by this amazing ball of creativity. If he hadn't then I wouldn't be able to make the friends I have today and treasure the memories I have of the past. I had an abusive dad, and mother. Everybody I knew hated me. But Undertale taught me a lesson. Be a pacifist. So I never responded negatively to anything, and just enjoyed my life as it is. i remember back in middle school, i learned how to play “Memory” on the violin. so in orchestra class i showed my crush at the time and she thought it was super cool and smiled. made me happy that i knew she liked it, and i miss all the times i had with her. i always thought it was kinda cool how we had the same last name too. i never built up courage to make a move, and after middle school ended i never saw her again. fast forward to now, im in high school and i still miss the good ol days of making her chuckle at my unfunny jokes. sometimes i can’t forgive myself for letting that girl pass by. i was just a kid then so i guess i was just being stupid or something, i dunno. madeline, i hope i do get a chance to see you someday. until then, i won’t be forgetting middle school.
I feel you, I had a similar situation where me and my crush with other friends would always play uno (the card game) and we would play it every day. It was nice since we all had fun and me and my crush always got competitive in it and was over all just great making her laugh when it was so close and ethier one of us could have won the game. Later we played a tag game where we went running across school every day and we went on the same bus so we would always be trying to tag eachother every day and we texted every.... until the last day of school. We both go to different high schools and have since then grown distant. We still wish eachother happy birthdays and she drew me a drawing of rick and morty and took her time on it. It was awesome. Came a long way from 2016 when I was 10, I'm older now and life's been hard but I don't really care. I always have people around that can help me and pick me back up and if all else is lost, I can just come back to this and remember how I was back then. I just now got the game now that I got a PC for Christmas and playing through it has been a blast. This fandom/community had some great memories, some bad ones, but it's amazing how much I've changed since then.
Does anyone else find the game so comforting? Maybe because it was a big part of my life, something I would turn too when I had nobody else. Sometimes I just get the want to hug the game. The rest of the hundred songs in the game are all: a. remixes b. slowed down or sped up c. combined a and b d. and so much more because Toby is genius. I recommend you look it up more here in RUclips! I found it fascinating and mind-blowing when I found out about it years ago, it still blows my mind up to this day. sometimes i just wish i could open up the game and get to experience this journey, unaware of all the characters, their stories, and the different paths, for the first time again. i don't think i'll ever get over Undertale. it's the game that shaped more than one generations, and i'm so grateful to be one of the people it affected.
You expected them to throw a bunch of remixes at you when you see the title. but when you click in, you hear the orginal soundtracks. *Knowing that theres still people who loves the orginal soundtracks filled you with Determination.
one of the biggest things that made me fall in love with undertale was its music. toby fox always knew how to set the perfect mood in each song of the soundtrack.
just honestly thinking about life right now while listening to this and doing online schoolwork. is life even truly worth that much? everyone tells me and everyone else it will get better, youll find the right person who makes you happy, youll be able to get through life and that ill succeed, but nobody ever truly asks anyone about how theyre feeling, everybody assumes its certain things that have brought them down and they try to cheer you up with their own assumptions, i just lost my girlfriend of 2 years which we were planning a lot of stuff together due to me being insecure and having really bad actions and assumptions, and i realize it honestly probably was my fault and i miss her everyday but i keep doing stuff that wont ever make things getting better, like talking to friends, being rude, still making assumptions when i know shes not doing anything wrong but i dont know what to do, i dont really have anyone to vent to, the only group of friends i had in real life just didnt truly feel right, well a couple did but some just didnt seem to like me at all so i seperated myself and went into online school, but i have no power or will to do anything to fix anything, its like i want to make things right, i want to be with her again, i want to tell all of my ex friends that im sorry for what i did, but i have no way of doing that since i moved, i dont have any motivation to do anything and i can spurt out crying at any second but i just occupy myself with games, i dont want pity or for anything like that, i just want to realize why i cant seem to do anything, its an internal issue thats always been within me that makes me want to stop doing good things for me, like celebrating my birthday, going with friends, playing sports, anything, ive wanted to pursue games but it seems so pointless, i can give it my all and reach near what i truly desire but then something just makes it so much less fun and less of value, i dont really know what this was about just venting and pointless words that i cant keep within myself, so if anyone does read this far or even reads anything of this thank you, you have made someone happy by even reading it so truthfully i wish you the happiest of mornings/afternoons or nights and just i hope things get better for you, i dont know if youre okay or upset or anything right now but you do have my wishes for you, thank you once again.

26:54- It’s Raining Somewhere Else If you think about how deep this song is, it’s one of the songs that develops Sans as a character. He’s no longer just a skeleton full of puns. He has serious conversations and is willing to do anything to protect Papyrus (not that he saved him anyways in genocide). There are hidden meanings in some Undertale songs. It’s Raining Somwhere Else sounds slightly like the song “Sans” because it’s a lemotif. This song honestly makes me tear up a bit because of the emotional weight it holds. Many of these songs are so relaxing, and all are beautiful. ...But to this day, "Undertale" still makes me cry. The sad, broken hope it conveys... The backstory that you learn when you hear this song... To this day, that song still reduces me to tears.

Undertale OST: 063 - It’s raining somewhere else. It’s just something about this OST. Maybe because sans is my favorite character but, it’s just so calming. If you really listen you can hear faint rain. How it’s obviously not raining near you, but *somewhere else.* I have no idea why this is such a good ost. Maybe because I’m into rain and jazz. It just reminds me of a rainy spring or a cold fall with coats and autumn leaves and hot chocolate. It’s just so.. relaxing.

I went to school early, like, before the gates fully open. I had the key to my classroom and the Audio-Visual room where our instruments were kept. I always, and I stress 'always', take my guitar out, grab a chair, sit down and play until the flag ceremony starts. A whole 2 and a half hours... I play small snippets of songs, gently as I can... and that 'Home' song in Undertale, is among my personal favorite to play. Everyday, nearly every student and teacher to come after I do, through that schoolgate, always heard me playing.
I take the feeling I get of knowing that even if they don't know who I am, or why I do this, that they get to hear music whenever they come in... was it my way of expressing the feelings I have in everyday, I'm not sure... but I'm hoping they get to remember that time as some 'time' and 'place' they can 'come' to, whenever they had problems, or are lost...

i played undertale with two of my best friends back in 6thgrade. we’ve all established that that phase of our lives was cringe and moved on, but i haven’t really taken into account all of the memories i’ve had attached to this game.. sitting here, typing this with tears in my eyes as i remember all of the good times i spent with these people. i’ve moved away from them and listening to this video made me remember the beginning of our friendships, and how i shouldn’t take things like that for granted.. so thank you.

aw c'mon man you're gonna make me cry by reading that... I remember back when I was seven years old or so and playing Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. Just listening to the Comet Observatory theme made me break down and cry. I didn't know how bad my life was, didn't know all the pain I'd been going through for years and would go through for years more. And now I'm no longer in so much pain. Going back to a time when everything was just... okay, listening to that song again, that changed me.
Our pasts hold so much more meaning than we think, for we don't remember them all the way. Remember your friends through these songs, dude, just as I remember my good times with the songs in Super Mario Galaxy; they're important, just like you.

This game saved my life. I know, how cliché, but I was back in eighth grade, I wanted to go study in another school, and yet I still had to pass my exams with great scores to qualify to the other school. At the time, Undertale became a great comfort for me, so I played it, watched playthroughs, listened to the OST constantly, and drew every single character from the game. It was an inspiration.
My exams came, I was nervous and honestly, I screwed up immensely on my Math exam, I got a terrible grade, my teacher called all my class "Stupid kids" because barely anyone passed, and no one knew if we were even going to be able to pass the CLASS.
I was really depressed back then, like, I mean, su/cidal tendencies and even attempts, and I was 14 at the time. The depression started back when I was 9. It was a terrible time because I felt like I failed everyone, my parents, my teachers, my friends, I felt like by not passing the class it was the end of my life.
Undertale kept me sane, playing it kept me alive, listening to the music, hell, even drawing Chara became a big comfort for me. Then the time came, I couldn't escape reality anymore, I had to go see what my grade for the class was. I was nervous, I remember I cried on my way to school.
I received the paper with my overall grades from all the classes. I passed, barely, but I passed. I took back my tears, but I was so happy, that when I returned home I started crying while listening to Memory, repeating to myself "It's over, everything's ok, you're ok now".
Undertale may have become kind of a cringy memory for some, for me, it became one of the comfort games I go back to to this day.

I've seen a lot of people posting their stories here, so here's my own:
I got into Undertale around fifth grade, and it was *life-changing* for me. My mom never let me play any video games that involved fighting (Me and my therapist had to work together on an essay so that I could play CUPHEAD), so the fact that there was this cool game with funny characters that was all about not having to fight was really exciting.
I was your typical cringey child fan for a while ("Frans", bad fankid OCs, impossible theories), but overall I think it changed me for the better. Undyne and Alphys's relationship helped me come to terms with my sexuality, Papyrus served as one of my first comfort characters, and the game motivated me to try creating my own original art and characters.
So, thanks, Toby. Five years have passed, and your game has still remained amazing.

Listening to these songs again brings me back to when I would obsess over this game. I would listen to the songs over and over to where I know every beat drop and tune by heart and I know where their song plays. I would draw cute little drawings of all the characters in the middle of class. At home I would play the game and obsess over the magnificently written story line and how I feel like I have somehow connected with each character. I remember I even met a group of people on undertale amino who I became friends with and thinking about all the memories we have made together over the past 1 1/2 years has made me very happy. Without undertale who knows how boring my life would have been. All of my memories that I have made because of this game. Just thinking about the story line and memories I have made gives me a bittersweet feeling of nostalgia. If only I could just reset and relive that life over again.

Whenever I hear any song from Undertale I'm always hit with the flashbacks of the good old days.
I would remember sitting in my old bed in my tiny yet comfortable room, my computer sitting on my lap as Undertale _(I was too poor to get the real thing, so I got the cracked version lol)_ was shown on the monitor revealing that I was halfway into the pacifist route. I would be facing the window that led to the balcony that held vegetables that my Grandma and Mom grew back in 2009. There would be white transparent currents over the big window as well as a screen that would keep the flies away, yet a hole on the bottom which I had accidentally made with clippers and boredom as a child would prove its attempts useless.
A purple playing mat was laying next to my bed with a brown cabinet behind it. A small metal locker was on the right of the mat and behind the locker was a big mattress covered with sheets, blankets, and pillows. The mattress was also in front of the window which had a hotel with orange tinted glasses that would reflect the sunlight when it was afternoon. I always caught myself staring at the light, it colored the room with a beautiful summer tone.
My room was very small, and my family, at that time, consisted of Grandma, Mom, and I along with the usual visits of my uncle and auntie. There would also be the occasional kids my Grandma would babysit as a job, I made friends with them but I've only ever been in touch with one of the kids as of today. It was a very simple time when I was comfortable with my life. I never complained about the lack of riches, it was enough for me. But it was all taken away when we went bankrupt and I had to move to various places. We barely had any electricity or money, food was scarce and I had to drop out of school since 2017. But it was my determination that brought me here, my determination to move on, live, and make my family proud.
It wasn't just that of course, Undertale and many other games as well as cartoons and friends has molded me to the person I am today as they have taught me things school couldn't. I'm very thankful that Toby fox made this game. If he hadn't, then the AU community wouldn't be here as well as the thousands of fan games inspired by this amazing ball of creativity. If he hadn't then I wouldn't be able to make the friends I have today and treasure the memories I have of the past.

I had an abusive dad, and mother. Everybody I knew hated me. But Undertale taught me a lesson. Be a pacifist. So I never responded negatively to anything, and just enjoyed my life as it is. i remember back in middle school, i learned how to play “Memory” on the violin. so in orchestra class i showed my crush at the time and she thought it was super cool and smiled. made me happy that i knew she liked it, and i miss all the times i had with her. i always thought it was kinda cool how we had the same last name too. i never built up courage to make a move, and after middle school ended i never saw her again. fast forward to now, im in high school and i still miss the good ol days of making her chuckle at my unfunny jokes. sometimes i can’t forgive myself for letting that girl pass by. i was just a kid then so i guess i was just being stupid or something, i dunno.

I feel you, I had a similar situation where me and my crush with other friends would always play uno (the card game) and we would play it every day. It was nice since we all had fun and me and my crush always got competitive in it and was over all just great making her laugh when it was so close and ethier one of us could have won the game. Later we played a tag game where we went running across school every day and we went on the same bus so we would always be trying to tag eachother every day and we texted every.... until the last day of school. We both go to different high schools and have since then grown distant. We still wish eachother happy birthdays and she drew me a drawing of rick and morty and took her time on it. It was awesome. Came a long way from 2016 when I was 10, I'm older now and life's been hard but I don't really care. I always have people around that can help me and pick me back up and if all else is lost, I can just come back to this and remember how I was back then. I just now got the game now that I got a PC for Christmas and playing through it has been a blast. This fandom/community had some great memories, some bad ones, but it's amazing how much I've changed since then.
Fallen down is by far one of my favorite undertale songs. Just gives me feels everytime I hear it

@Pinkalous Muffin There were only 11 songs that Toby Fox composed for undertale. The rest of the hundred songs in the game are all:
a. remixes
b. slowed down or sped up
c. combined a and b
d. and so much more because Toby is genius.
I recommend you look it up more here in RUclips! I found it fascinating and mind-blowing when I found out about it years ago, it still blows my mind up to this day.

sometimes i just wish i could open up the game and get to experience this journey, unaware of all the characters, their stories, and the different paths, for the first time again. i don't think i'll ever get over Undertale. it's the game that shaped more than one generations, and i'm so grateful to be one of the people it affected.

one of the biggest things that made me fall in love with undertale was its music. toby fox always knew how to set the perfect mood in each song of the soundtrack.
just honestly thinking about life right now while listening to this and doing online schoolwork. is life even truly worth that much? everyone tells me and everyone else it will get better, youll find the right person who makes you happy, youll be able to get through life and that ill succeed, but nobody ever truly asks anyone about how theyre feeling, everybody assumes its certain things that have brought them down and they try to cheer you up with their own assumptions, i just lost my girlfriend of 2 years which we were planning a lot of stuff together due to me being insecure and having really bad actions and assumptions, and i realize it honestly probably was my fault and i miss her everyday but i keep doing stuff that wont ever make things getting better, like talking to friends, being rude, still making assumptions when i know shes not doing anything wrong but i dont know what to do, i dont really have anyone to vent to, the only group of friends i had in real life just didnt truly feel right, well a couple did but some just didnt seem to like me at all so i seperated myself and went into online school, but i have no power or will to do anything to fix anything, its like i want to make things right, i want to be with her again, i want to tell all of my ex friends that im sorry for what i did, but i have no way of doing that since i moved, i dont have any motivation to do anything and i can spurt out crying at any second but i just occupy myself with games, i dont want pity or for anything like that, i just want to realize why i cant seem to do anything, its an internal issue thats always been within me that makes me want to stop doing good things for me, like celebrating my birthday, going with friends, playing sports, anything, ive wanted to pursue games but it seems so pointless, i can give it my all and reach near what i truly desire but then something just makes it so much less fun and less of value, i dont really know what this was about just venting and pointless words that i cant keep within myself, so if anyone does read this far or even reads anything of this thank you, you have made someone happy by even reading it so truthfully i wish you the happiest of mornings/afternoons or nights and just i hope things get better for you, i dont know if youre okay or upset or anything right now but you do have my wishes for you, thank you once again.

If you think about how deep this song is, it’s one of the songs that develops Sans as a character. He’s no longer just a skeleton full of puns. He has serious conversations and is willing to do anything to protect Papyrus (not that he saved him anyways in genocide). There are hidden meanings in some Undertale songs. It’s Raining Somwhere Else sounds slightly like the song “Sans” because it’s a lemotif. This song honestly makes me tear up a bit because of the emotional weight it holds. Undertale OST: 063 - It’s raining somewhere else. It’s just something about this OST. Maybe because sans is my favorite character but, it’s just so calming. If you really listen you can hear faint rain. How it’s obviously not raining near you, but *somewhere else.* I have no idea why this is such a good ost. Maybe because I’m into rain and jazz. It just reminds me of a rainy spring or a cold fall with coats and autumn leaves and hot chocolate. It’s just so.. relaxing.
Fallen down feels like a hug from a mom I never had bc mine kicked me out :,) it’s so comforting I think that’s why toriel is my favorite character bc she just is that sweet caregiver I wish I had and it feels like im nice and safe while that theme plays hehe

man nostalgia can happen fast. i played this game for the first time last summer with 2 of my online friends that i know no longer talk to. listening to this makes me so sad and wishes that we had kept talking. this game truly is a masterpiece i wish i could play it again for the first time..
