Really cool tool to have! Maybe you can do a demo for us on how they work fired up. Happy Easter!
Oh how I wish I had seen this before planting our few raised garden beds! I wasnt sure how we would garden next year, they are so full of weeds! Thank you for sharing. Enjoying all your vids.
I like that small one. I've been using my snow shovel. I place the snow shovel such that it blocks the heat from the plants I want to protect and use the flame thrower on the other side. That small one you have would be much better though since it speeds it up I bet because of the trapped heat.
You explain clearly thank you for the demos and tours! Please continue!
Have you tried painting the weeder to stop rust? Wondering if high heat paint by rustoleum would work. I’ve used it on bbqs and fireplace flues. Thx for your sharing to help us👍
Should paint that with BBQ paint and see if that lasts better (Haha just saw that someone else said that.) They also have exhaust paint for tractors that should be able to take the heat irrc
Question: What's the difference between a smooth bed and rough bed when planting?
Really great tool! Direct contact to beds. No more hit or miss with dry carbon burn off. Thanks.
nice weeder I have only seen the single smaller units.
If you squeeze a leaf between your thumb and forefinger after it's been hit by flame, you should leave a dark green fingerprint on the leaf.
Flame weeders are also FAR more economical than chemical weeding. A tank of propane will cover MANY times more ground than chemical sprays. I can cover my property (residence, not a farm) with my flame weeder for almost a whole season on one 20 gallon tank. You won't do that with chemicals.
How would this work for weeds with deep roots?
Before you put a new hood on your field burner try spraying it with bbq grill paint.
... or even better go STAINLESS!
Couldn't you have a hood made out of stainless steel so it doesn't rust. Thanks for your videos.
The flame does
Will weed burning kill nutgrass: nutsedge?
I am interested in purchasing the hood with roller. I already have the backpack and tank I bought from Johnny’s select seats. I have the dragon torch that I bought from Home Depot I assume the hood will fit that. Great videos thanks so much.👍🏼
Yes. The hood will absolutely fit.
did you find the hood ?
Silly question, how do you light the torch with the hood attached?
Having trouble keeping mine lit.(I got your single burner with roller flame hood) It goes out after just a few seconds. Any tips? Thanks.
Contact customer service for directions on use
do u use on the snow to just asking, like your videos. going to Harmony NC to start my farm. Thanks for all your help
Thank you for the great videos
Will most places fill propane tanks?
They also rust very quickly because of the nature of the propane. You'll need to keep it cleaned.
Where the link to the small hooded flamer with the basket wheel and backpack cylinder?
Good Video!
I would like to build one. Anyone know where to get the flame tips? I can't afford to buy the units but I do have the ability to build one. Any information would be great.
Thsnks!
Thanks for sharing your wisdom!
Cool
hey can you use the flame weeder to warm the soil up so you can plant starts earlier in the season if you dont have any cold weather forcast but the ground is still to cold?
Flame weeders only warm the surface for a short time.
haha of course. I was a little tired when I asked that.
I really appreciate you replying to my question. your videos really inspire me. I just purchased some agricultural zoned land that wasn't being used for farming and I plan on following a lot of your advice. thanks.
its a good tool for snow removal also. :D
What do you do with the dead weeds? Do you let them rot there? Turn them under with a shovel or fork?
This is for extremely small weed seedings. Just let them wilt and decompose in place.
Does that smaller one only have one burner? I have a roofing torch that I picked up for $50 and was thinking about making a hood for it to concentrate the heat.
Yes one burner. It would work with the torch you already have. www.neversinktools.com/
The red dragon flame weeder you list on your site is the 100 000btu version. Is it the one you would recomand with your hood or the 400 000btu or 500 000btu would be good too. Which one is best choice?
It will fit the 100k or 400k. I like the 100k of you will not be using an adjustable regulator. If using the adjustable regulator the I like the 400k
Will it kill perennial weeds?
Not likely if they are established
Where did you get yours?
www.neversinktools.com
So how does flame weeding work on morning glory weeds?
Flame weeding is good for any recently germinated weeds. It is not the right tool for established weeds.
You could make it out of stainless steel that would solve the rust problem
I would love to buy one of your units, signed up on the site, but no email notification yet. Wondering costs and expected purchase availability? Appreciate your willingness to share information with a healthy positive vibe.
We haven't begun emailing yet, but cost and and availability information is up on the site now. www.neversinktools.com/. Yo can also chat with someone on the site if you have more questions.
I burn weed every chance I get, anybody got a hooter??
Just one question: BINDWEED
At 2:15 he do-si-dos.

Don’t see many questions answered here.
You may be right. We certainly try though.
