We're going back to the roots of the channel and using some amazing spear builds in this video. Sit back, grab a cup of your favorite beverage, and enjoy!🍵
Fluent editing, clear and concise PVP commentary, and non-intrusive background music (from my favorite game, Risk of Rain) - these are the reasons why I believe this RUclips channel is the number one among all Albion Online videos I have seen so far. I love your commentary style vids, you're very underrated! When it comes to spears, how would you rate the daybreaker? Recently I tried trinity spear at cds because it's a relatively meta option and I've been having a blast. Wondering if I should try the daybreaker too
Trinity only seems viable in CD (due to lack of mobility on the E spell), but in CD it's very strong indeed. Daybreaker is great against brawl builds like curses, battleaxes, carving sword, double bladed, since the extra purge is very good against those
It seems like spear are the most versatile weapon class in Albion. The only downside I could think of is the lack of lifesteal for some survivability, I might be wrong tho
hmmm dude, for a weapon that can escape very fast and move around like crazy? lifestyle would be too op if embedded on the spear itself 💀 but the closest thing u can get is a more offensive head on fight spear technique using mercs
hey kyo i really like your spear videos ,actually im trying to learn em they r so versatile, could u give us your usual weap and build passives please ?
Thanks so much for this guide! I just started spear so this is very helpful. What are your thoughts with specter jacket and tenacity jacket? is tenacity jacket the best overall?
Tenacity is good against purge since it has a low CD of 15 seconds. Other jacket abilities get purged and have a longer cooldown than the purge, so it's a good option to switch to when fighting Purge Cowls. Specter Jacket should only be used on inferno shield, but it's a good option since it has a bit higher IP than the normal leather jackets :)
@@KyotecYT Ooh, alright. I get the whole point. I also noticed and compared the cooldowns awhile ago so for general usage Tenacity is better. Daamn, if only tenacity jacket's price is a bit lower 😭
hey i wanan know how did you level up and spec up your spear? like get fame to unlock higher levels to pvp with u gotta pve right? did u do open world famefarming or what
Hi, you did interesting video, with love from Russia. I have a question which spear is better 1-nd or daybreaker or when need to use 1-nd spear or daybreaker l. It will be very interesting to read your answer
@@KyotecYT And the last question in which situation we need to use root of nature or in pvp need to use only torch because dps more profitable then HP?
I think the taproot isn't worth it due to the price, but I've seen Gucci players (8.3+) use it, as it boosts the healing you get off a healing potion and compounds with the bonus of a puremist snapper. But, I like the torch better currently.
I try picking up spear so many times , and give up, because the Q doesn't feels satisfying, idk maybe the sound design or animation or hit effect of the Q is too weak for me , i play fire staff and the Q is so satisfying
Yeah, the hit effect isn't very satisfying - I can relate to that, coming from games like LoL where the sound feedback is much better on abilities. But, I still like the playstyle. Glad you're enjoying the fire staff, it's a great weapon line as well!
so many fights against lower ip. selecting more balanced fights would make the video more interesting. the commentary is on point, maybe explaining item choices would make It more educational
My only problem with spear is how much ip matters, alot of other builds are able to fight up to 200ip up when perfected , spear seems to lack the dps to deal with stronger builds, how ever cant really be chased
For open world PvP, you are right. However, Pike is good for group ganking, Glaive is meta in some instanced group pvp fights (Crystal Arena), Trinity Spear is a meta pick in Corrupted Dungeons, Spirithunter is meta pick for Avalonian Dungeons or Group Fame Farming or ZvZ, and Heron Spear is very usable in some 2v2 comps. So the weapon line has a good choice for almost all content types, and that's why I like it a lot :)
Love your spear and warbow videos, they helped me a lot with really learning to pvp in this game and actually understanding what was going on during my fights. What are your thoughts on choosing between these two weapons--especially for solo open-world roaming/ganking and mists? Do you think one is better than the other in certain scenarios? For mists vs OW? Overall? They are the only two weapons I really use, and I have them both at 100 spec. In my sort of limited experience, I was much more successful OW ganking with spear without a fiend cowl because of cripple, but I generally felt a little safer on bow and found it a lot easier to make mistakes during fights with the spear. Also, I had much more success with the bow vs higher ip opponents and even some 1vx fights if I had good matchups. I think this is due to the fact that the bow can really kite some matchups almost indefinitely, making ip nearly irrelevant, while the spear ends up trading damage even in kiteable matchups. Am I right or am I maybe just misplaying with the spear? Please don't feel any pressure to reply to the essay I've just accidentally written. Great vids:)
Thanks for watching my vids and glad they helped you! You're absolutely right that with large IP diff, only the bow (or other ranged kite weps like frost) can win. If you use a spear, you *will* be in getting-damaged range against other builds, so the IP matters a lot. I like spear since they have an even fight against most other builds and is very fun to play, BUT you do need to be on even IP as well. (You can fight swords with ~100 IP diff since cripple is amazing against them, but if the IP diff is larger you just lose due to stats) Overall, if you can't afford high IP builds (T7-T9 equivalents), warbow is the way to go as it can also rat fights very well with the high mobility alongside fighting large IP diff fights (against kiteable builds), and it is very cheap at T4-T6 equivalent

Great video and great commentary. As a fellow spear player, this is both educational and fun to watch. Keep up with the good work!

damn with the quality of the video, when you said close to 1k subs I'm surprised you didn't have more.
You're already over 1k subscribers.
Congrats!
Thank you!
Hey can u do a harpoon build and how use??
hi I play 1h spear a lot, in fact the only weapon I play.... what build would you suggest for mist now after hellion jacket change?
It seems like spear are the most versatile weapon class in Albion. The only downside I could think of is the lack of lifesteal for some survivability, I might be wrong tho
Actually, nomad poncho use Merc jacket and puremist snapper every time roam in the Roads, so yeah
hmmm dude, for a weapon that can escape very fast and move around like crazy? lifestyle would be too op if embedded on the spear itself 💀 but the closest thing u can get is a more offensive head on fight spear technique using mercs
Does the Normal Spear 'E' also purge Undead Cape?
Nope, only Daybreaker purges. You can use the Normal Spear E to execute somebody through the Undead Cape, though.

Fire or warlock for pvp ?

Yep, solo black zone farming
@@KyotecYT doesnt it take lots of hours
and getting ganked and not much silver?
Why do you use omelette and other snapper? which is better? Also, have I seen many vandal jackets with spear is better?
CDR is very important for spears. You can also go eel stew instead if you'd like a bit more damage
How do you beat dual swords? It feels like they can normal attack me from almost a screen away and they out DPS me.
Cripple strongly counters swords

Daybreaker is better against brawler builds (Axe, Carving, Curse), while 1h Spear is better against kiting builds (Warbow, Frost)

Would be double blade staff tree even better?
Currently it's very strong - but I think it's an even fight against a daybreaker
Which do you prefer daybreaker or 1h spear?
Both, depending on situation
I use spectre jacket and hunter hood is it vool?
Yes, if you use inferno shield on the jacket
Which spear go well for duo?
Daybreaker, 1h Spear, Heron Spear, Pike, Trinity, Spirithunter. It depends on the build you're going for with your duo partner
@KyotecYT my friend play daybeaker and 1H and I can pretty much playanything that not to expensive
Risk of rain theme song
show ur gear worth tho
In this video it's between 300k and 900k ish, I swapped tiers around a bunch

Only daybreaker and normal spear is good between all spears . rest of spears is useless
