One of my grandpa's favorite songs, had it on his funeral. Really good and meaningful 🥺🎵 Livet är för kort för att skapa konflikter med dina nära och kära
Please react to "Sommaren som aldrig säger nej"! This was the winner of Melodifestivalen 1973, a group called Malta with Göran Fristorp and Claes af Geijerstam. In the european final they had to change the group name to Nova, to avoid being mixed up with the country Malta.
One of my favourite pieces of music trivia is that Trio med Bumba once got top billing over The Beatles. (Early days for Beatles of course, but still.) Like someone else wrote, this song is not really for my generation, but it was so beloved by my older relatives, and the more of them I lose, the more meaningful this song becomes.
Singer Tommy Wener (with the rolling Rrrrrrs) died on stage in 2002 at a gig in Umeå, and just a week before his death, he was interviewed by either Aftonbladet or Expressen (can't remember) and in that interview he said that he wanted to die on stage.
The important thing about "hemma" is to know the backstory. It's about a woman having emigrated to the united states singing about the home she knows in her heart she will never return to, and her longing for it.
I was going to suggest that, but you beat me to it. IMO Thorstein Bergman's Dan Andersson-album is one of the greatest Swedish albums ever and Thorsteins voice is fantastic. Personally I prefer the album version, I think the musical arrangement is just wonderful. When he sings about the stars and you hear them in the music - that gives me goosebumps.
Both my mom and my mother in law loved this song so it was a bit hard for me to hear. I still suggest Kal P Dal and either Rock é nock or Johnny va gör du? Or Tuffa Uffe. Or Timbuktu (Jason Diakité) Alla vill till himmelen. Someone suggested in an other reaction Edvard Persson and Jag har bott vid en landsväg or Jag är en liten gåsapåg från Skåne.
Oh, a lot of movie clips from you that I have to catch up. I'm running out of suggestions as well, but there's a song that I wanna suggest in this season and it's "Vi är tjejer, vi är bäst!" med dåvarande damlandslaget i fotboll. Let's se if the Swedish ladys still are in the game, when you arrive to Sweden again.
If you want to explore Trio me Bumba further, I recommend "Spel-Olles Gånglåt", their first hit from 1963, more uptempo and with some cool drumming and a Shadows-like guitar solo.
The next song “Hemma” is not a Swedish classic though. Helen is a popular singer. And that song is from a popular Swedish musical. But the song itself isn’t a “Swedish classic”. Tankevurpa from whoever who suggested it.
@@annika8207 Det blir inte automatiskt en klassiker bara för att de har skrivit nånting. Att många älskar denna musikal gör inte att all låtar i den blir till just klassiker.

"One More Time - Highland" 👍
Good one!😃
@@feliciahallberg3098 It charted at #2 and #1 in Sweden and Belgium in 1992. A classic and a banger with a 30th anniversary coming up.

Rätt! Jag har tänkt föreslå denna.
Drängarna - Kung över ängarna, en riktig sommar banger 😎

Teddy björnen Fredriksson med Lasse Berghagen
