This is certainly a really nice mix, and I must say this brings back memories from ancient time when music contained substance. The superb vocals from Evelyn is very convincing, and real to the emotions. In the time when the original was released, the song became a tremendous seller.
The band is tight. This is called ""locked in the pocket"" the bass man and the congas man are carrying the groove and the guitars slide in on point and the drummer is holding a tight beat for the Saxophone man and then the Horns close it out. Not complicated but......... Funky tight Funky!
