    The Heavenly Father set me free from the shackles of legalism back in the late 1970’s. Malcolm’s teachings sparked this liberation. I don’t believe something just because it sounds good, but I searched the scripture as a good Berean and laid hold of the Christian life that had been placed into me in 1972 through salvation and Holy Spirit baptism. It’s so good to hear him after he grew even more in grace over all these years (as I myself did). What a special message of unity and compassionate love for the Body of Christ today. ❤

    I am amazed at how plainly you teach the gospel, really, I don't have words to express how much more I understand the gospel, now when I hear other preachers, it much of what they preach is on sin and what we do our works, I am 65 and the Holy Spirit has used you to open my eyes. Thank You! I Pray Above All Things That You Be In Great Health and Prosper Even As Your Soul Prospers. Amen.

    I heard a quote the other day: If love's not more important than your theology, then youve got bad theology. I think Brian Zahnd said it, or referred to it.

    I like that distinction. I live by the faith "OF," not "in" the son of God. The example of this that we're given is spelled out in 1 Peter 2:23.
    We treat each other according to how we judge them. So I would say entrusting myself to the one who judges justly (= "faith") is the key to everything. In 1 Peter, the Son said in effect to his Father, "You (God) are the judge, not me." Love, as well as the rest of the list in Gal. 5 is the "fruit" of this entrusting.

      I’m struggling with judging in the house of God. No problem with personally showing mercy when a person does wrong to me, but when it comes to someone in the church hurting the sheep I have difficulty showing that person mercy or knowing how to approach the situation.

      @@BingoNamo-gb8pz I use Jesus as my role model on this. He had sharp disagreements with the righteous "church members" (Pharisees) of the day. It was those disagreements (= judgments) that brought him to the cross.
      So if there is a situation that you think a few wise words would help, intercede. It might even be the case that further action should be taken (Paul has some good guidelines on that). But think in terms of flesh and Spirit, not what is good or evil, or who is right or wrong. This was Jesus' approach in all of his disagreements. The epistles follow suit in how problems in the church are addressed.

    About 10yrs ago, I was homeless and intoxicated on alcohol and I stumbled across a large church in Tulsa. It was probably about 8pm. I went in and wandered around, never seeing a single person, though the parking lot was full of cars. I did find a room with a piano and sat down and played for about 30mins. Still, no people. So I went on a quest to see where everyone was. I eventually found a sanctuary where they all were and sat down. I was quiet and smiled at the ones who noticed me, as they slid away from me down the pew. It wasn't long before a priest in a white robe showed up to usher me to the door with threats to call the police, if I didn't leave. I was quiet and respectful but as I was heading to the exit, I turned to the priest and said,"I was only there for an encouraging word". And he replied," if you're looking for encouragement, you came to the wrong place". So I prayed a simple prayer under my breath and left. 😢😢

      That’s religion for you, it makes me rage. He and everyone should be hugging you and feeding you a meal and bringing you into their homes. I’m from England that’s what I would do.

    Jesus never experienced guilt, shame, sickness or old age...so how can He identify with us in those realities?

    • @gr-mk2em
      @gr-mk2em Год назад +5

      He took our guilt on the cross, surely hanging naked in the public would bring shame to the highest degree...and every sickness known to the human race..including decrepit aging was poured on him on the cross...that is why the Scripture says in Isaiah 52:14 that his form was so marred it astonished the onlookers....his body had been shredded apart at the whipping post so that even his bones were exposed...and then hung on the cross after that...yeah, I think He can more than identify with our physical pain
