One reason to get original posters is if you plan to backlight them. Original posters after 1985 tend to be double sided which makes them pop when backlit. Prints are single sided and will appear washed out if you try to backlight them. If you are just using a standard picture frame like you did then prints are perfectly fine.

I over bought many movie/NES/SNES/Wrestling/Grave Digger posters and I have not enough room to hang them all. My man cave does have some of the posters along with metal beer signs and a lot more.
