Update: for the problem faced at @9:30 when we can't select projected curve and the 3D sketch in the same group using "Selection Manager", you can make another 3D sketch by converting the projected curve to 3D sketch, then selection manager will allow selecting two 3D sketched for Guide profile. It solved the problem for me. Hope it helps !

A lot of people have some troubles with this surface...Make sure you follow the video, you used the Selection manager, etc :)

Does anyone still facing problem with the selection manager at 9:30, I figured out using the composite curve functions to skip using the selection manager and managed to form the surface. My problem was not with the projected curve, but the edge of the first surface (in my file it is a component with name Curve 1). So what I did was using composite curve to join that edge with the last small line drawn and made tangent with the edge ( in the video that 3D sketch name is Esquisse3D6). If you guys still confuse, I will make a short video to show you guys.

I'm 5 years late :( but i hope you're still here....
at 9:20 I can do almost everything, only when using the selection manager to select the second curvature guide wich is made of the projected curve and the little 3d sketch, when i use selection manager doesn't allow me to slect both only the little sketch or if I'm not using the manager only selects the projected curve I'm using SW2018...

nevermind, I solved it, i just had to do a shitlot of zoom and doubleclick the line i gues my pc is shit or SW was just confused

The curve you selected at 9.30 , it doesn't let me group that curve with the spline :( I used the selection manager tool and tried for an hour; still didn't work.

Hi, thanks for your helping people with your tutorial. I have a problem about lines. When ı want to make a surface like 9:04, program says me "At least two profiles are required to form an open limited surface. At least 3 to make a closed boundary surface. Curves can not contain more than one stroke." How can I solve this problem ? Solidworks 2018 version. Thank you again.

I'm having a similar issue, just there, I think it's because the selection manager doesn't allow to select the projected curve and the 3dsketch at the same time, can't figure out how to get this :/
I'm also usind SW2018 maybe it's the version? i don't know

Can you try this? Select top and bottom lines then open select manager and select two guides. After that, press okey button. Then edit loft object and select other guide.
