I loved this season of LIB! It was so interesting. I loved their fashion, style, etc. The women were so glamorous and men were very handsome. Culturally, my ideals are much different but that is ok, it was still so much fun to watch! I can't wait for the reunion and hope they have a Season 2.

Yes! I like that culturally they were more modest. In the other versions they are overly sexual. If someone wants to be celibate, they make that person feel bad for waiting.

    So glad you started watching!
Yes, this is not a spoiler since they mentioned it at the beginning - they don't live together. They stay at what seems to be a resort for a while to get to know each other more and then they go back home and meet the families.
About the guy who gave Sara a nickname - I don't think it was just that he gave her a nickname, sarsour means cockroach in Arabic so I don't blame her for the reaction 😆
Regarding Ammar - I understand him being conservative regarding the dancing, but I think they should have discussed it more before continuing. I also dislike that it seemed like he pressured the other mean to not talk to Karma as that took away her chance to fully explore and experience the process.
You guys are funny! looking for someone imbalanced lol I hear you
I like Safa & Mohamad as well
The flirty guy is called Chafic

I actually loved this season! I like watching shows from different countries to see their culture, so even though some things threw me off, I went in with at least a small amount of knowledge about their culture and was able to enjoy it for what it was! Although moments like “no dancing” had me yelling “GIRL RUN!” at my tv😅😂 so happy you guys are reacting to this! If you haven’t yet, please watch Love is Blind Japan💕 it’s my all time favorite

This was such an interesting version of LIB to watch. It's important to remember that not all cultures will align with your own personal views, but that doesn't make one more right over the other. I was stationed in Qatar for a year, and believe me, the way Americans watched this show and probably thought many of the views were "outrageous" a lot of cultures abroad think the same of us 😂 It was a little annoying that they kept dubbing English over them already speaking English 🫠. Overall, it was a neat watch.

Egyptian (arab) American over here and watched and loved this season! I watched it in Arabic so curious how they translated it. Arabic is very poetic and they usually just translate the gist of what they’re saying. Excited for this journey with you two 😄🤗
Just like the men of LIB US there’s toxic men here too 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s universal lmao

I LOOOOOOOOOVED the habibi-fication of love is blind it was genuinely such a good season and I’m so happy to see you reacting to it!!! I’m so interested to see how a western audience will perceive everybody. Also, bit of a side note, misogynistic men exist everywhere in the world and we’ve clearly seen them showcased on the US LIB seasons too but I feel like Arabs are a bit more upfront about their views and characters in general which I don’t necessarily think is a negative because you’re not being tricked and sold a false dream. I’d much rather know what I’m dealing with and decide whether I can put up with that or not. Idk if that makes sense/resonates with others or not

Hey guys, stumbled upon yor channel with this video and love ur vibe !! it's really fun that so many people get to discover new cultures through this show. To clarify a few of the questions you had :
-Unfortunately, Amar's way of thinking is the way a lot of arabic guys feel like : dancing can be seen as seductive and alluring to other men (it puts the attention of people on the woman) so it's a question of "pride" for him. He does not want to see his woman "putting on a show" for other men.
-Sarsoor : means cockroach which is not flattering haha
-about the multiple wives : although not very common nowadays, a man is "allowed" to get married religiously to four women. It usually happens if his first wife is barren (horrible i know) so his second wife can get kids. So yes it does occuer but it's usually the older generation, it's less accepted by women (thankfully) because it ususally creates a lot of drama and jealousy within the home.
I hope this helped. I look forward to more videos ! TPWK =)

IIRC, the main way to meet partners in the late 90's was through family or friends. And through a person's religious institution (church, mosque, temple, synagogue, etc.). I just heard the statistic on a podcast recently, but my memory isn't 100% tbh.
I had to stop watching Habibi halfway through episode 3. I think it just reminded me too much of my bad dating experiences. I will probably still watch your videos, but couldn't do the full episodes.

Its so funny to hear people talk about how gorgeous people on this show are but as an Egyptian, honestly, this is just how Middle Eastern people look. They didn't choose the best looking ones, all of them look like the people I see at church every Sunday. So yeah, they are good looking people to people in general but they are normal looking to other Middle Eastern people. Some of them would actually be considered below average. It's funny, whenever I hear people talking about how hot someone is and doesn't know much else about them, I know they are talking about someone from the Middle East.

Fyi "Twin Love" is a whole (1 season) show about how hard it is for twins to date ... don't remember the exact stats they quoted but apparently twins do date later and less successfully, on average, than non-twins. I felt like everyone was extremely awkward in a way that makes me think either the editing wasn't as good or the production was a lot more intrusive, but your mileage may vary.

  • @MisaoM
    @MisaoM 2 дня назад +1

I found this season very interesting from a cultural perspective, but overall it felt extremely superficial to me, people seemed to decide on a partner without discussing actual important things at all somehow, and I was unsure whether it was just the editing, or a cultural thing. For that reason, I didn't feel invested in any of the relationships, which made the whole thing kind of a pointless watch... ngl I was pretty disappointed. When I was watching LIB UK, I felt like pretty much every contestant we saw was genuinely there to find someone, whereas here, apart from a couple of people, everybody gave off the impression that their main motivation was not actually to find a long-term partner, it felt more like light-hearted dating without consequences.

  • @moonchild6307

I think most of these people are superficial. Men want beautiful housewives and most women want rich and handsome men who would support them. There are few exeptions of course.
