I loved this season of LIB! It was so interesting. I loved their fashion, style, etc. The women were so glamorous and men were very handsome. Culturally, my ideals are much different but that is ok, it was still so much fun to watch! I can't wait for the reunion and hope they have a Season 2.
Yes! I like that culturally they were more modest. In the other versions they are overly sexual. If someone wants to be celibate, they make that person feel bad for waiting.
So glad you started watching! Yes, this is not a spoiler since they mentioned it at the beginning - they don't live together. They stay at what seems to be a resort for a while to get to know each other more and then they go back home and meet the families. About the guy who gave Sara a nickname - I don't think it was just that he gave her a nickname, sarsour means cockroach in Arabic so I don't blame her for the reaction 😆 Regarding Ammar - I understand him being conservative regarding the dancing, but I think they should have discussed it more before continuing. I also dislike that it seemed like he pressured the other mean to not talk to Karma as that took away her chance to fully explore and experience the process. You guys are funny! looking for someone imbalanced lol I hear you I like Safa & Mohamad as well The flirty guy is called Chafic
OMGGG!!!! I jumped on the notification! This week I watched the season and I said to myself that I NEEDED a video of you reacting to love is blind Habibi 🤩🎉
I actually loved this season! I like watching shows from different countries to see their culture, so even though some things threw me off, I went in with at least a small amount of knowledge about their culture and was able to enjoy it for what it was! Although moments like “no dancing” had me yelling “GIRL RUN!” at my tv😅😂 so happy you guys are reacting to this! If you haven’t yet, please watch Love is Blind Japan💕 it’s my all time favorite
I was waiting for you guys to react to this! The cultural difference is fascinating, especially since my personal beliefs, behaviors, and ideals were so different 98% of the time. But it was fun and it gave me so many quotable moments!
This was such an interesting version of LIB to watch. It's important to remember that not all cultures will align with your own personal views, but that doesn't make one more right over the other. I was stationed in Qatar for a year, and believe me, the way Americans watched this show and probably thought many of the views were "outrageous" a lot of cultures abroad think the same of us 😂 It was a little annoying that they kept dubbing English over them already speaking English 🫠. Overall, it was a neat watch.
Egyptian (arab) American over here and watched and loved this season! I watched it in Arabic so curious how they translated it. Arabic is very poetic and they usually just translate the gist of what they’re saying. Excited for this journey with you two 😄🤗 Just like the men of LIB US there’s toxic men here too 🤦🏻♀️ it’s universal lmao
I LOOOOOOOOOVED the habibi-fication of love is blind it was genuinely such a good season and I’m so happy to see you reacting to it!!! I’m so interested to see how a western audience will perceive everybody. Also, bit of a side note, misogynistic men exist everywhere in the world and we’ve clearly seen them showcased on the US LIB seasons too but I feel like Arabs are a bit more upfront about their views and characters in general which I don’t necessarily think is a negative because you’re not being tricked and sold a false dream. I’d much rather know what I’m dealing with and decide whether I can put up with that or not. Idk if that makes sense/resonates with others or not
17:29 don’t forget love is blind Japan! Shuntaro (sp?) was over 50. Still my favorite LIB version. Spoiler!!! Both marriages ended with the CUTEST babies. And a couple reconnected after to get married. How could you NOT love it.
Oh wow, I only knew about Wataru (?)'s and his wife's baby! The other married couple was my favourite, so cute! I didn't know about one couple reconnecting, either, that's so interesting! I need to google all of this 😃
I’m glad you guys are watching this season it’s crazy drama lol and very much a culture shock for non Arabs or westerners I’m sure, but yeah Ammar and Simo are competing for the villain of the season for me 😂.
Hey guys, stumbled upon yor channel with this video and love ur vibe !! it's really fun that so many people get to discover new cultures through this show. To clarify a few of the questions you had : -Unfortunately, Amar's way of thinking is the way a lot of arabic guys feel like : dancing can be seen as seductive and alluring to other men (it puts the attention of people on the woman) so it's a question of "pride" for him. He does not want to see his woman "putting on a show" for other men. -Sarsoor : means cockroach which is not flattering haha -about the multiple wives : although not very common nowadays, a man is "allowed" to get married religiously to four women. It usually happens if his first wife is barren (horrible i know) so his second wife can get kids. So yes it does occuer but it's usually the older generation, it's less accepted by women (thankfully) because it ususally creates a lot of drama and jealousy within the home. I hope this helped. I look forward to more videos ! TPWK =)
If y'all are interested, i definitely also recommend watching Love Is Blind Japan.I definitely think you would like it, seeing the different culture and all :)
I think compared to the US version, they are letting everyone know who they are interested in almost immediately. Also, the pods and living area in this version are not soundproofed.
It crazy I didn’t think anyone would do a review on this season, I randomly started watching it, so thanks for perspective cause I was literally saying the same exact thing to these connections.
Thank you for taking into consideration the cultural difference aspect. Many people are quick to juge and label anything that doesn’t align with their beliefs as toxic.
Oh man I binge watched this show over the weekend and was hoping and praying would cover it lol. So many thoughts! The cultural differences are just .. whoa. I also loved the Japan version last year
Violent humor is really a thing in many non-white cultures. When I newly came to the US I was on a phonecall and said “If… happened, I will just kill myself” and the person passing by gave me a weird look LOL. In Nigeria that simply means “I would be so frustrated.”
Omg yaaaaaaas!!! This made my heart so happy!!! LOVE the "live" reacting; it definitely feels like watching with friends😁😁😁 Wait til you get a load of some of the people on this show, especially the men... Still less problematic than the US series😂😂😂
IIRC, the main way to meet partners in the late 90's was through family or friends. And through a person's religious institution (church, mosque, temple, synagogue, etc.). I just heard the statistic on a podcast recently, but my memory isn't 100% tbh. I had to stop watching Habibi halfway through episode 3. I think it just reminded me too much of my bad dating experiences. I will probably still watch your videos, but couldn't do the full episodes.
Its so funny to hear people talk about how gorgeous people on this show are but as an Egyptian, honestly, this is just how Middle Eastern people look. They didn't choose the best looking ones, all of them look like the people I see at church every Sunday. So yeah, they are good looking people to people in general but they are normal looking to other Middle Eastern people. Some of them would actually be considered below average. It's funny, whenever I hear people talking about how hot someone is and doesn't know much else about them, I know they are talking about someone from the Middle East.
You can fit 30 European countries in the United States. At least 10 can fit in Texas alone. So when they've been to and lived in so many countries its like us visiting or living in other states.
but each country in Europe is different, language, food, history, so no, I don’t agree is not the same being in California and Texas than being in France and Spain…
I feel like it's an excuse many americans use for their lack of knowledge... Every country has a different culture and langage and in these case we are talking about 3 continents, not just close countries.
I love Dounia! She's such a cutie! I don't really think the LIB format is really conducive to the Middle Eastern culture. They have very strong men and women belief roles in their society. Good recap, guys👍
I thought the women were more interesting, and the men were more insecure. Maybe it's cultural, but the women seemed modern, and the men seemed old-fashioned. I loved Dounia! She was smart, beautiful, and kind.
I loooooved this LIB, having been to Dubai a few times and knowing about their culture a bit (I mean Muslim, not only specific to Dubai), this was so interesting, I didn't even know they are allowed to chose their spouse. old style marrying was so different, since the parents just chose for their daughter. and let's not forget that men have more power over their wives in the Arab world than in the western world.
There this weird town here in Brazil, somewhere in the south that a famous doctor lived after escaping trails (not sure if really was Mengele or someone who worked with him) but it's a bizarre place where like 80% of the population are twins, and they marry twins and have more twins...it's weird and you can look it up on google, it's very famous for being a "twins town", there a lot of things that happens between twins that are interesting/scary 😂
Fyi "Twin Love" is a whole (1 season) show about how hard it is for twins to date ... don't remember the exact stats they quoted but apparently twins do date later and less successfully, on average, than non-twins. I felt like everyone was extremely awkward in a way that makes me think either the editing wasn't as good or the production was a lot more intrusive, but your mileage may vary.
I’m sorry jealousy is a red flag for you guys 😂😂😂 for us it’s a sign oh manhood … obviously we’re not talking about extremes here but it is an insult to a man to say he doesn’t get jealous … we like our men over protective 😂
I found this season very interesting from a cultural perspective, but overall it felt extremely superficial to me, people seemed to decide on a partner without discussing actual important things at all somehow, and I was unsure whether it was just the editing, or a cultural thing. For that reason, I didn't feel invested in any of the relationships, which made the whole thing kind of a pointless watch... ngl I was pretty disappointed. When I was watching LIB UK, I felt like pretty much every contestant we saw was genuinely there to find someone, whereas here, apart from a couple of people, everybody gave off the impression that their main motivation was not actually to find a long-term partner, it felt more like light-hearted dating without consequences.
I think most of these people are superficial. Men want beautiful housewives and most women want rich and handsome men who would support them. There are few exeptions of course.
Hey guys 👋 House of Villains S2!! Ep4 is coming up on Thursday but Peacock shows them a week behind! It’s a goodie!!! Richard Hatch is on! ( Ashley will be ape shit! ) he’s horrible! 😅
Also, I don't know if it was the edit but they made it seem like Ammar asked Karma about her feelings towards him after he heard someone talking about liking the Tunisian woman (and there are at least two) and he was worried that Karma might have found another connection.
For anyone watching this series there is a huge misrepresentation of middle eastern and North African men in lib habibi! They aren’t actually like this I’m married to one majority of them are gentlemen, protective but KIND. Chivalrous but KIND. They respect woman and they honor them! I don’t know where they found these men lol but major disappointment!
I watched the available episodes and thought I would like a reviewer who comes from that area. I think it would be helpful to talk about the culture and the individual men’s behaviour.
Nahhh, they are all like that. Why are you basically lying? They are misogynistic and think they are all better than women. Most comments in Arabic prouve it. Show me one man who wants his wife to practice belly dancing and doesn't control how she dresses. That is an accurate representation of Middle Eastern and North African men.
I really disliked this season so much! I just couldn't with the amount of misogyny and very awful moments. I never felt joy from watching the show and I found myself skipping many moments because of the tension you will notice on future episodes. It was a total culture shock as I'm from a South American country and really have not many things in common with what was portrayed on this version of LIB. All this said, I'll watch your reviews because I love your reactions and appreciate your point of view, so it might be a good way to make the whole experience a little lighter than it was 💕
I'm also from a latin American country and LOVED this season. I think that we have seen too many couples arguing, specially in Mexico LIB and I loved the respect and intelligent discussions in this LIB Habibi.
You could argue that the US LIB season 7 isn't any less misogynistic, so ... Habibi men may be menning but the women stood up for themselves which is a thing of beauty.
Get over it sis. It's not your culture so you wouldn't understand male and female relationships there. Get over it quickly too and understand that western views where men worship the ground you walk on only to be belittled doesn't exist everywhere around the world. ❤❤❤
I loved this season of LIB! It was so interesting. I loved their fashion, style, etc. The women were so glamorous and men were very handsome. Culturally, my ideals are much different but that is ok, it was still so much fun to watch! I can't wait for the reunion and hope they have a Season 2.
Very much agree
Same!
The different scenarios, I think it was a major plus😊 I kinda dislike now alooooot the us version is like meeeh already
Yes! I like that culturally they were more modest. In the other versions they are overly sexual. If someone wants to be celibate, they make that person feel bad for waiting.
I loved Habibi! I binge watched it all weekend 😊
Same😅
My blood pressure could not handle this show 😂
5:00 sarsoor is a nickname for sarah but it also is the word for “cockroach”
So glad you started watching!
Yes, this is not a spoiler since they mentioned it at the beginning - they don't live together. They stay at what seems to be a resort for a while to get to know each other more and then they go back home and meet the families.
About the guy who gave Sara a nickname - I don't think it was just that he gave her a nickname, sarsour means cockroach in Arabic so I don't blame her for the reaction 😆
Regarding Ammar - I understand him being conservative regarding the dancing, but I think they should have discussed it more before continuing. I also dislike that it seemed like he pressured the other mean to not talk to Karma as that took away her chance to fully explore and experience the process.
You guys are funny! looking for someone imbalanced lol I hear you
I like Safa & Mohamad as well
The flirty guy is called Chafic
Dancing can be seen as seductive so the men see it as an insult to their honor.
Karma is smart and decides for herself.
So glad you guys are covering this! Love your reactions
OMGGG!!!! I jumped on the notification! This week I watched the season and I said to myself that I NEEDED a video of you reacting to love is blind Habibi 🤩🎉
I actually loved this season! I love that they don't live together because it relieves the chance of very uncomfortable domestic disputes that we sometimes see on other seasons
😮😮😮
so excited to see the next episodes reactions!!
I have no one to talk to about this version! This is the next best thing.
I was waiting for you guys to react to this! The cultural difference is fascinating, especially since my personal beliefs, behaviors, and ideals were so different 98% of the time. But it was fun and it gave me so many quotable moments!
Soooooo excited for this right here! 🎉
I have been waiting for you to recap LIB Habibi as i binged the whole season the day it came out😂😂 thank you 😊
This was such an interesting version of LIB to watch. It's important to remember that not all cultures will align with your own personal views, but that doesn't make one more right over the other. Yes I enjoyed seeing how different Cultures are
Most western societies still keep those traditions
Only in America is everything a debauchery
Egyptian (arab) American over here and watched and loved this season! I watched it in Arabic so curious how they translated it. Arabic is very poetic and they usually just translate the gist of what they’re saying. Excited for this journey with you two 😄🤗

This reaction makes me wanna watch this season 😭 this couple is so cute and healthy
17:29 don’t forget love is blind Japan! Shuntaro (sp?) was over 50. Still my favorite LIB version.
Spoiler!!!
Both marriages ended with the CUTEST babies. And a couple reconnected after to get married. How could you NOT love it.
Best LIB ever!!!
sincere and real

I loved the season! Its so facinating to see their customs and culture. I dont really know much about anywhere in the middle east so it was fun!
This season was so messy and I haven't seen many reactions, so I look forward to yours! It really is a whole different world.
If y'all are interested, i definitely also recommend watching Love Is Blind Japan.I definitely think you would like it, seeing the different culture and all :)
I loved that season too! It's a shame it was discontinued.
The Japan season I haven’t finished, but I really enjoyed what I’ve seen
The doggo in the banana jumper!!!! 😍😍😍
I think compared to the US version, they are letting everyone know who they are interested in almost immediately.
Also, the pods and living area in this version are not soundproofed.
The look of love when your dog is watching you 😭😭😭😭😭
I just subscribed I loved your reaction I didn’t expect this from people who don’t really have a background on Arab culture love it❤❤❤
(Btw I’m Arab)
I'm so happy you're reacting to this 🎉🎉
It crazy I didn’t think anyone would do a review on this season, I randomly started watching it, so thanks for perspective cause I was literally saying the same exact thing to these connections.
Dry humor and sarcasm are a normal thing in the Middle East.
guys i love ur reaction please do a reaction to all the episodes wish u all the best big love ♥♥♥
Footloose was Kevin Bacon. Dirty Dancing was Swayze...
Love this! Just for records, we Arabs are all about our extreme jokes 😂 we love a bit of dark humour, so keep that in my mind while watching ❤
The noodles caught my eye too when I was watching this 😂😂
I'm so glad you guys are watching! Can't wait to see what you think! OMG it's messy lol
I am soooo glad you two decided to cover this!
Pod episodes are good, later were sooo difficult to watch from european point of view.
20:44 not only did he tell the other guy not to date her, but he also told her not to date anyone else! Control much?!
Yaay😊 Thank you guys❤
This season is so good, it might be my favourite LIB franchise
I wish the other date show called Qesma w Naseeb was dubbed in english also so you can see the other different liberal lifestyle of arabs
Thank you for taking into consideration the cultural difference aspect. Many people are quick to juge and label anything that doesn’t align with their beliefs as toxic.
Parisian here! I kind of agree with the haircut :)
Oh man I binge watched this show over the weekend and was hoping and praying would cover it lol. So many thoughts! The cultural differences are just .. whoa. I also loved the Japan version last year

Ya'lls dog!! 😻😻😻
Yaaaaay!
Hope y'all are having a great day
Am I first 😱!!! Love from SA🇿🇦
Fellow South African, LOVED IT.🙋🏾♀️ Our cultures are so similar too!
Omg yaaaaaaas!!! This made my heart so happy!!!
LOVE the "live" reacting; it definitely feels like watching with friends😁😁😁
Wait til you get a load of some of the people on this show, especially the men...
Still less problematic than the US series😂😂😂
Ammar is scary.

I watch this season in their language with English subtitles since they do speak some English 😂. Helps with tone and authenticity lol
Please do love is blind Japan!
It was a tension in the dancing part. Real tension from him.
Survivor updates pls!! ❤
17:14 in Japanese version was 56 year old guy
5:07 she indeed did not like that. That's because Sarsour sounds like saying cockroach 🪳 in Arabic. Her nickname is cockroach 😭
Yes is Mengele
i would like to see her reject him, i dont think we have seen a rejection yet on this show
Fyi "Twin Love" is a whole (1 season) show about how hard it is for twins to date ... don't remember the exact stats they quoted but apparently twins do date later and less successfully, on average, than non-twins. I would recommend to watch it in subtitles, they’re more accurate
That have said that they watch with subtitles and use the dubbed version for RUclips
They have smaller countries over there! The 🇺🇸 is much larger!!
Simo ❌
Lucifer ✅
For anyone watching this series there is a huge misrepresentation of middle eastern and North African men in lib habibi! They aren’t actually like this I’m married to one majority of them are gentlemen, protective but KIND. Chivalrous but KIND. They respect woman and they honor them! I don’t know where they found these men lol but major disappointment!
I watched the available episodes and thought I would like a reviewer who comes from that area. I think it would be helpful to talk about the culture and the individual men’s behaviour.

I think Love is Blind Japan had much older guys
I really disliked this season so much! I just couldn't with the amount of misogyny and very awful moments. I never felt joy from watching the show and I found myself skipping many moments because of the tension you will notice on future episodes. It was a total culture shock as I'm from a South American country and really have not many things in common with what was portrayed on this version of LIB. All this said, I'll watch your reviews because I love your reactions and appreciate your point of view, so it might be a good way to make the whole experience a little lighter than it was 💕
Even the way the men would argue... it ended up like war.
I'm also from a latin American country and LOVED this season. I think that we have seen too many couples arguing, specially in Mexico LIB and I loved the respect and intelligent discussions in this LIB Habibi.
You’re looking at what a good old patriarchy looks like. Not the victim playing that American women are obsessed with. No shade. But shade LOL.
@@karlaj.4056respect? Lol
You could argue that the US LIB season 7 isn't any less misogynistic, so ... Habibi men may be menning but the women stood up for themselves which is a thing of beauty.
This season stressed me out, the misogynistic views are on full display and so triggering...im pretty well versed with men like this.
I don't think LIB Habibi works honestly, and even though some things are cultural I just can't get over the controlling aspects of it
Get over it sis. It's not your culture so you wouldn't understand male and female relationships there. Get over it quickly too and understand that western views where men worship the ground you walk on only to be belittled doesn't exist everywhere around the world. ❤❤❤
It has nothing to do with the premise of the show. Mohammed and Khatab weren't controlling at all.
Them speaking English is so cringe. And I m saying this as Arab.
Lolllllll Sarsour means cockroach in Arabic
And 'pimp' in hebrew.
Sorsar is cockroach, sarsoor sounds similar but it's not the same word
Dancing is seen as haram (sinful) which is why Ammar is against it by the way!
Chafiq!
