    • @ClaytonSchickOutdoors
      @ClaytonSchickOutdoors  3 года назад +1

      I have mostly been using a 3/8 from 15-30 feet. I really want to stay as vertical as I can. 1-3 feet I would say I was tying the hook. All depended on how big the rocks were.

    I like that plastic splash guard on the stern of yor boat . Did you make that yourself ? I've never seen one before . Looks like it works keeping those waves out . I always have to keep the bow into the wind because I'm scared of getting swamped . Those big walleye were fat , too bad can't keep them or can you?

    • @ClaytonSchickOutdoors
      @ClaytonSchickOutdoors  3 года назад +2

      They come from a company called Whitecap Splash Guards in MN they are amazing for keeping good boat control
      Those Walleye are prime breeders so it's important to put them back so we can fish that lake for years to come :)

    I've had both of my brand new GoPro's overheat on me on a daily basis on the boat this season. Most of the time, they overheat at the same exact time, especially if I'm running "hindsight" up to 30 seconds. I've found they overheat slightly less with it set to 15 seconds, but it still isn't something they are immune to. It's been a rough first dive into the GoPro brand for me. I'm not happy with them but have sunk too much money into them and their accessories to do anything with them and switch to something that actually works. I feel your pain.

    • @ClaytonSchickOutdoors

      Before this year they have been solid for me... I now have a new 9, that I am hoping works better!

    • @rippinglipsadventures
      @rippinglipsadventures 3 года назад

      @@ClaytonSchickOutdoors Yeah, both my 9's are troubled to the 10th degree and I've had little help in the customer service department if at all. I'm almost better off with my big cameras and even my DJI Osmo Pocket suction mounted to the windshield... but alas, I'm too far into the GoPro junk now. One thing I'd recommend if I haven't yet, Tentacle Sync is amazing. It saves me so much edit time even though I'm way behind on my own edits. When I get around to the edits, I have my audio and video files just magically aligned in post with the timecode syncing the Tentacle Sync Track E and Sync E devices do for me. You should look into it if you're curious about 8-10 hours of recording audio that can sync within seconds with all your video cameras. I have used it successfully with my GoPro's, too, when the GoPro's don't overheat or fail me.
      Great videos man! Keep up the awesome content and good work getting more thrilled about 26 inches +. I know you're human now. Ha, ha, ha.
