I took a Mexican Riviera cruise on the Pacific Princess in 83! They were one way cruises from LA to Acapulco with ports of calls to Mazatlon and Puerto Vallarta, and vice vera back to LA substituting Ixtapa Zihuatanejo for Mazatlan! I took it round trip, interesting they made change rooms at Acapulco for the return trip, though they didn't make me leave the ship! On the way back we ran into a hurricane, so we sailed further west to avoid the worst of it (I wish I could say the same on my cruise 2 years later on the Carnival Tropicale, but that's another story😊) as a result we couldn't make port in Ixtapa, but Cabo San Lucas was a nice replacement! On the return to LA as I was getting dressed for the Farewell Formal Dinner, the ships emergency signals and horns sounded (If you saw the episode of the Love Boat where John Ritter jumped overboard, it sounded just like that! ) We rescued a sailboat who went through the Hurriicane, sadly of. the Family on board the Father and son didn't survive, the crew was only able to save the Mother! That sort of put a damper on the end of the cruise, which was the last night!

@@JacksonJetsetting I checked with Princess and was told to check my home country’s (US) health authority :( Did you do the test covid test 2 days before disembarkation or as you exited the ship?
