the Paynes Grey towards the end is perfect - it gives definition and grounds the "scene" - at least that is what it feels like to this 100% amature!! I truly love this style - thank you for sharing. and the longer version is so helpful to me, the amature!!
Hi, your videos just pop on of my page and I’m really glade the algorithm brought me here. Really love your and and it is really inspirational to watch you paint.
I've been looking at a lot of Rothko lately and these give me that feel of luminous and harmonious contrast. I still feel newish to wc & continuously working on mixing compliments without getting mud. Doing it wet on wet is amazing to me plus pthalo blue is one of my absolute faves. Your paintings encourage me to keep working through the mud towards colorful grays 🤎💜💙🩵💚💛🧡🩶
I am am so glad. I have been using more grays/ neutrals in my work lately. Have you tried cerelean blue with burnt sienna? I am just saying that as I was using it the other day and it turned out really nicely :). I am glad the videos are encouraging. Its really nice for me to get feedback. Thank you! 🤩 🙏
I liked how you split the video up--that was helpful and encourages me to go back and do the video with my paints if I'd like to practise some mimesis. bravo.
I like both formats, the speeded up and the one in his regular time frame. And the combination of both like here is almost perfect. But of cause it depends ...on the subject, my mood, your mood, the method etc. Anyway, as long as your videos are about this length I'm quite sure I'll watch them. Nice improvement to the try a day earlier by the way.
smashing! i like the cropping idea...gives you some more latitude with the composition a video of the framing/panel process would be great!! much love and thank you so much for sharing and inspiring 🔥
Thank you Anna, really lovely demos, and l like those colours, they blend so well. Yes l would be interested to see the way you frame them. Im stuck these days how to give my watercolours a more contemporary look. Many thanks......Alioban ❤
Hi, I really loved that first one, especially the colours at 5:05 where you had a bit of ochre still peeping out beneath the phthalo! A gorgeous contrast softened with the feathering. I use Prussian blue and ochre often and love the contrast. They’re beautiful paintings but I’m unsure about the ultramarine. I know it’s warmer than the phthalo but other than using it to create neutrals I personally don’t think it sits right with the rest of the palette - maybe I need to broaden my blue horizons 😊 What do you think it brings? Thanks for another great video. Jill R
Thank you Jill! Yes its interesting you questioned the ultramarine. For me its actually a tricky colour. I feel like I could have used cobalt blue instead. Or possibly a more neutral colour. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I am glad you enjoyed the demonstration 😊

Thank you so much, you are right, it gives it more variation of tonal value too :)
Love these watercolors. I like how you painted them large enough to decide how you want to crop them. 🥰
Thank you so much 😊
It is wonderful to see how simplicity can be so powerful. Very inspiring!
I am looking forward to seeing how you mount these.
Thank you so much 😊 I hope to make the mounting video in the next week or so
