I know a few people in the zero-waste groups who have tried the Henson and they love it. Not threatening, no drama, but gives a consistently good shave. Also, a couple of head shavers use it exclusively on the dome because it’s mild yet efficient.

It’s a great razor for sure. I’m pretty impressed with it. I have used it on my head once, but need to try it again.
I use the Henson Medium three times a week shaving my face and head. I love it. I use Astra green blades and I feel like it strikes a nice balance of efficiency and smoothness. I recently tried a Rockwell 6C and just didn’t like it at all. From the weight, to my inability to find the correct angle, so I returned it. For me the Henson is the way to go.

I enjoy my Henson. It's predictable so I know what I'm going to get, a mild and reasonably efficient shave. It doesn't last as long as many of my other razors so it's ideally a daily shaver. I have often wondered if the aggressive titanium, in addition to more blade feel, also provides a more durable shave. I don't think I'll be shelling out the money to find out so it remains a mystery. I'll try with my new medium to unscrew 1/4 back having more blade efficiency, let's see and save money for other razors or soaps👍
@@danilobernaschina1842 I have heard of this but haven't tried it myself. I'll have to see how it feels. I also have the aggressive version ordered and hope to have it soon.

Those Hensons remind me of my vintage Schick Krona.
I’ve never had the pleasure of using one of those, but they do look sweet. I wonder how the two compare.
Great shave and review of the razor today. I also enjoy the winning razor, it has a similar head geometry.
I’ve heard those two get compared quit a few. A friend is going to let me borrow a Winning razor to compare the two.

Do you feel like it gives a close shave? This might sound crazy but I feel like by noon I have my normal 5 o’clock shave from other razors.
I do, but it’s very blade dependent. With the included RK blade, the shave lasts for quit a while. With the Personna lab blue, the shave doesn’t last as long.

I have the mild Henson that I have used on some 3 times with the RK blade not impressed with the shave. Today loaded the Henson with the Gillette Nacet blade and got BBS head shave. Was the nacet blade better then the RK blade don't know maybe just better technic today or well time will tell. I do have the aggressive Henson also haven't used it yet.
So I am not sure the exact sharpness of the RK blades but from my knowledge they are less sharp than Astra platmiums, and Astra platniums are less sharp than Nacet blades.
I used the included RK blade for a few shaves and got decent shaves with it. I did get better shaves with sharper blades. The Feather is awesome in the Henson.
@@TheTravelingShaver Good to know. I've ordered 3 Henson mild with 300 RK blades for me, my son and the missus. Going to take me a while to get through those! I'm a head shaver too, so might consider getting a medium for the face.
I currently shave with a Merkur 34cHD. I am wanting to get a Henson. Would you suggest getting the mild version and maybe using sharper blades or getting the medium version ?
Depends on your growth and hair thickness. I personally went with the medium because I knew for me the mild would not be efficient enough.
