- Low Mileage Original 1970 Galaxie. Wow, do we have a unique one for you here! Just in is this stunning, 58k original-mile 1970 Ford Galaxie 500. Powered by a 351 C.I. "Windsor" V8 engine and backed up by a 3-speed automatic "FMX" transmission, this Galaxie makes for one fantastic cruiser. It comes sparsely equipped with power steering and a working AM/FM radio as well riding on a very nice set of new wheels and tires. The dark "Ivy Green Metallic" paint was redone some years back and still looks amazing laid out over a straight and body which is still very solid. The floors, frame, and trunk are also in excellent original condition. The "Nugget Gold" vinyl interior appears to be all original and is still in impeccable condition throughout. If you want a show quality car that you can jump in and enjoy, this may be the one for you! It runs and drives just as nice as it looks, coming with a ton of documentation from when it rolled off the showroom floor in 1970. You will not see many, if any, 1970 Galaxies for sale much nicer than this one. Don't let it pass you by!

My father inherited his grandfather's (my great-grandfather) 1964 Galaxy 500XL with a 390 bbl in it around 1989 when my great-grandfather passed away. He had that thing until the mid-90s when someone pushed it down the street one night and stripped it apart. It broke my father's heart, and he sold it shortly thereafter before we moved North to Washington State. I never saw it again.
I loved that car. Lots of great memories in that thing, including my first baseball game. Long gone now, but I still miss it.
Absolutely Gorgeous !!! My Mom had a white one with the black vinyl roof. She hated the radio on the left, especially when I started driving. We fit 4 16 year old in the trunk sneaking into Gratiot Drive-In, in Roseville, Michigan. My Mom drove that car off the showroom floor and kept it till 1982 when she got a Buick Regal. We had the very basic model, no rear speakers and a 302 Cubic inch engine.
I bought a 1970 Galaxie back in 1972 , it had a 390 with a 2 barrel carb and I loved it.
did it cost you 26K ...... sold at auction 3 weeks ago for 16K ... just saying ....
I also had a 1970 with the 390. Got mine in 1974 ex government. Still had the phone and flag on the bonnet. Took all that out though as the phone took up space and I needed the 6 seats. Paid $1500 for it and sold it in 1980 too a junk yard for $1000. The owner said it was too good to scrap and used it as his personal car. Couldn't sell it privately due to the oil crisis. No-one wanted it. It was de-registered in 1994 so I assume it was junked (again). It had 250k miles when I got rid of it. Had 15k when I bought it.
We owned this 2-dr car (1969) in this exact exterior color when I was a kid. It was my dad's company car. Only differences were the interior color (black) and it had the 390 ci motor. It was sort of a 60s American version of a GT car. Beautiful, well engineered machine!
that wrap around for the steering column is for the registration
very nice !!
When I was a kid this is the first car I was in that has no fly window 😀
That's a sharp Ford Impala and I love those wheels. Great job guys!
impala??
WoW !!!
BLACK interior would really set this Galaxy apart!
The body looks fantastic, I doubt it was never driven in snow and salt? A nice interior as well. Overall a nice 1970 Galaxie.
Love ❤️ it
Damn Bruh that is beautiful 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Would love to bring it Down Under! Throw some duel exhausts on it
A true time capsule!!!
Love ii. The drivers door closed nicer than my car, an 08 🙃
Really nice car. That's an H code 351, lower compression but still 250HP. The M code would have had dual exhaust I believe. Or the 390. That'd be awesome but good luck finding one in that condition. First thing I'd do is dual exhaust tho.
What was the final price. I’ll buy another as I bought one in Flora, Illinois in 1994. Unfortunately a bad brake job by local mechanic had it swerve bad in an emergency stop and I side swiped another car. Totally repairable but I couldn’t afford it so sold it locally in Rockville, MD. Very cool car and on the hwy I managed 20mpg DC to Dayton Ohio one trip with the Windsor 351.
Beautiful car! I wish someone would have had the forethought to upgrade it to a 4 barrel intake with better carb.
You would have to use an intake specially made for the 69 to 76 351W. After that Ford used 302 heads which have smaller intake ports than the early 351's. Then again if you really want to up-grade this engine use after market heads with a matched intake.
Rare Car. Not many produced or available.
Please let me know, if it becomes available again or if a 1970 Four Door Custom Comes in,thank you sir.
