Just wanna shout-out the insane turnaround time of highly editing a half hour special the same night. You mustn't have slept Frankie! I love how it's so many different places and the use archival footage too. The episode flew in 🍻
I love the running joke of "I don't think it has long-term prospects" anytime you go somewhere completely empty and Nina says that she wants to work there.
My wife and I would frequent this mall when we met in college 13 years ago. I was a half hour away. Still a very vibrant mall. The Target they mention is the place where I officially asked her out. We now have a five month old baby.
I was recently binging all the Junt's Cart videos. I only discovered you guys this past year but I'm super excited to see the experience the holidays with y'all this year. Looking forward to relaxing with some hot cocoa watching your videos.
I worked at Sears in their electronics department from 2004 to 2007. Black Friday was definitely not one of my favorite days, waking up at 3am and surviving off of Pepsi to get me through the morning. Your annual videos always bring back memories of those days.
It's the most wonderful time of the year. Red Cow holiday content time. Cue the cozy blankets, hot chocolate, and wholesome content. No better way to cure those winter blues. Frankie's accents/impressions just kill me every time. What a talent to have. Thank you for the incredible work and turning this around so incredibly quickly, you really do spoil us with all this content.
Don’t feel like you’ve failed as a parent because you lost a child’s toy. We had a storage unit when we moved 20 years ago. My daughter realized we had put her Toy Story Jessie doll in storage just like the movie 😂
I LOVE Red Cow black Friday videos! This one though makes me kinda sad. I worked at Sears in the early 2010s - including on a few black Fridays - and it hurts not only to see the store reduced to a dozen locations, but also that those locations use the EXACT SAME REGISTERS (and price lookup kiosks) nearly 10 years later. During my time at Sears, I remember the company making a big push towards a customer-first attitude towards the end. Sadly it didn't work out. RIP Sears.
I went to the Burlington mall back in March 2024 and it was sad and depressing. Mostly closed stores and hardly any people. Online shopping has killed the mall.
2023 Black Friday Junt's Cart video uploaded on actual Black Friday 2023 is why I said that you are my favorite RUclips channel on the 100th podcast episode. You studs.
What Junt needs to get is an induction stove. I recently got an oven with both induction and a built in air fryer. You can boil a giant pot of water in about 30 to 60 seconds. It would actually save a lot of time for Box Mac. The only downside is some of your old pots and pans might not work if they aren't magnetic
yes! I've been 3/3 in the last three years predicting where the big annual red cow black friday shopping spree will take place. I make it a point to walk through Sears every time I go to that mall. it's like surveying the ruins of a once great empire.
Oh wow I missed that in 2019 where junt mentioned the zebra QLN. Worked with those things so much I cant imagine it being left untended hoping that customers will use it correctly. Bloomingdales I was at was so reluctant to buy the new models. We'd send them back and forth from stores as the numbers dwindled rather than just buying new printers.
I really enjoy the podcast content but tonight I decided to flip to the main channel to check out some videos. Jon is really knowledgeable, he’s a like a real life Google search engine.
I’m driving right now but I must leave a comment to help the algorithm: here’s a nostalgic thoughts, a Park district building, or leisure center that has a stairwell that stinks like rubber. We all know at least one stairwell that smells like rubber. Have a great weekend guys!
The south shore plaza was my childhood mall. It has changed in terms of atmosphere but is still one of the rare busy malls left. The sears used to be 3 floors but now only 2.
I appreciate your guys' consistent commitment to hating the drive thru and not using it lol nothing is more emblematic of our car dependent hell scape infrastructure than the dreaded drive thru.
Another video to look forward too! Love you guys! I’ve talked to Frankie about doing this but I don’t have the skills, someone please make a Nina dancing compilation! Nina is the best!
I don't know if it was intentional, but that part around 0:35 where Gloria says "Maybe when I'm a grown up and I'm old and have wrinkles" and then it hard cuts to Nina looking right at the camera had me laughing so hard.
The South Shore Plaza has been the "local mall" for my entire life. I rarely go there anymore (I'm just not much of a shopper) but I will say that Sears has always been my go-to place for budget clothes. A step above Walmart, a step below Macy's. There's some nostalgia there, obviously. I haven't been there in a while so seeing the grills in what used to be the sock section of the men's department is kind of...depressing? Also, clearly the store is like a relic at this point and it's bizarre how it can stay open with so little foot traffic.
Happy Black Friday! It was great to see so many people out shopping! And you made it back to Micro Center hahaha! What happened to Matt’s snazzy Black Friday outfit?!
Sears and Kmart was bought out by CEO Eddie Lampert and he bought it out of bankruptcy in 2019 and it's now open by trasformco known as ESL investments
Sears was cool for its time. Kinda want to look up wtf happened... wait wait... so y'all found Glorious? The real one? I have two old refrigerators. I mostly use the second one for the freezer and to store sodas and beer. These things are like 40 years old. I want to get a freezer if one of them die... but it is mostly the magnetic strips around the doors that are failing on the fridges... I wanted to fix them but the refrigerators are so old that you can't find the exact part. My friends used to go to toy stores just for wrestling figures... it actually motivated us to go to the mall... Geez this makes me want to go to Hobby Lobby... I have never been. At my work they bought OLED TVs/monitors for people and they weren't meant to be computer monitors so much so they got burned images in them. lol F my boss. Glad I quit. He acted like he knew more than other people and then you point out his mistake and he calls it insubordination rather than "Thanks for helping".

Legitimate sadness now that I have worked my way throughout the entire playlist.

Also, South Shore Plaza still has a pet shop in the mall which is something Jon has talked about in previous episodes.

YES!!!! This time of year I always watch all the Black Friday Junts Cart videos and was patiently awaiting this! 🙏
Grills on both levels. Hahahaaaaaaaa

Looks like that cookie butter coffee worked. I can relate, my wife also starts dancing after copious amounts of caffeine combined with black Friday.
Yaaas, love having a red cow black Friday video. Great stuff!
Love it, keep it up!
Your content is incredible! I love you all, best characters I’ve ever seen in a show! Please never stop!
Yessssssss
My favorite tradition is back!
You know it’s that time of year when you binge the BF playlist 🙃

We used to have multiple elevators like that one in our local mall. Sadly it's been mostly demolished.
I bought it at Sears, where America shops!
Gloria looks like Lucy from Twin Peaks!
Just got caught up. Need more!
Crazy how much this looks like The Avenues mall in Jacksonville FL. Has the same elevator too. Guess the same group must own it.

Anville Chorus
@@RedCowEntertainment thanks so much I've been trying to place it and been binging WIJC? Speedy reply even. Too fast for the naked eye.
Best Black Friday event!
I love this so much
That Sears is almost a liminal space
Was so excited to watch this!
Wal Mart will eventually become what Sears is today.
Maybe I need a squishy....😮

the future is not now
Electric heaters uses a fuck load of power to
