We shot this film in two days with a crew of two on the iPhone14 Pro Max and $500 last year before The Substance rocked our world and after winning the phone in a script contest. Writer Natalie Higdon found me through Twitter and we connected through our love of horror and comedy. When I read her script it felt perfect for a small film. I was grateful she let me experiment with the genre-this is my first horror- after connecting with the script. DP Scott Uhlfelder and star Zabeth Russell really brought this piece to life and it was a super fun challenge to see how far we could go with a small handful of people hungry to embrace the unsettling intersection of TikTok and beauty.
