I love working outdoors doing yardstuff = making chaos into something interesting. I never worry about delay from lack of resources or tools breaking -> as there is 'Always' something else to work on while waiting for the proper items, resources & tools.😊

Lovely garden area. Trimmers can be so helpful. Can’t wait to see what all you do with the kitchen. 5:55 I always thought I’d want grandchildren but with climate change, the economy, etc if my kids decide not to have children then I’m okay with that.

    Hi Marc,
Looking forward to your renovation of moving the kitchen. My 2 cents...put your kitchen and a small mudroom area by backdoor and move living room further back. Take out temporary wall and make one big area. Looking forward to your final decision . Have a great week.

Your kitchen Marc, should be where the back door is. To throw a spanner in the works.

Hi Marc good to hear the cheerful note in your voice once again. I like the spare bedroom idea and the versatility the coffee table provided you with.

I understand the lawn anxiety, I’d be the same. I have an older battery strimmer for that fine edge work, you are so right about how useful they are, looking forward to seeing your replacement

Mark you always make me laugh or at least smile regularly. Telling us about the jobs you need to do but you shouldn’t tell us😂😂. You are doing great and your garden is lovely. As you say, “ see you later”” 😊

Start the fencing while it's dry as you already got some there. Spread the cost and install double glazing windows one set at a time with a top that can open not too wide to keep security in place. Glad you ordered new strimmer, new beginnings with new lawn mower. I agree second bedroom and build a shed for all your tools etc once you start storing in the house it can easily become a hoarder area and clutter. Keep flogging they are very interesting chats.

Your son is so lucky to be able to go to Silverstone! My middle daughter is into F1 and got the 9year old into it. She is a LeClerc fan and the younger one absolutely loves Verstappen!❤

Hi Mark just a thought the windows could have the plastic fans fitted with the open and close cords like in England some time back have 1in each room for cross ventilation. Regards Ashley

Hi Mark great video as usual. The rule of thumb with where you put your kitchen is where your water comes in and where the drainage goes out, as to the chimney if you could get a concrete slab to cover the top and cut some gaps in the brickwork directly under the slab for ventilation.
Hopefully this is of help to you.
    Love the garden, it's stunning.

I agree with you Mark, new windows is the best option, some you can keep open all day in the summer! Have a great day :)

yes, weird windows. the first idea to come to mind is make a windowbox with a lid that opens for storage of blankets and such underneath. A the top of the window, frame in part of it, kinda like a transom window. would be really cool with a bit of colored glass but that would ruin the budget! By closing some of the top, framing around a piece of glass so you don't loose any light, perhaps you could get close to a standard size window that you could order that you would be able to open. Some wide trim could also help you get to a size to fit ready made windows. Here in the states, we can get fans with adjustable side pieces to adjust to fit inside the window and they can really move some air. Just another idea for you to bounce around in that creative head of yours. I hope you can get the sink figured out for your new kitchen space. that other room just wasn't doing it for you. You certainly tried many options. I bet it will work great with some shelves for storage in such a narrow place instead of such a aggravating kitchen.

FWIW, I have an oscillating fan, on a timer, in our "underused" rooms to keep the air moving. I think I have them set to run for a bit, twice per day. And leave the door open of course.

I was in sales in the early 2000s and I had to entertain clients at the restaurant in the World Trade Center. I always hated it and could not wait to get out of there. My intuition was telling me something evil was there. I remember looking out the window while having lunch one day and seeing the planes flying close by and thinking “those planes could easily hit this building” of course now we know it was not planes. They have uncovered footage of explosives being planted in the building and the planes were added by Hollywood holographic technology.
Anyway I finally told my boss I would not be going to NYC anymore I did not feel it was safe. Then when 911 hit I was so glad I had stopped traveling to NYC!

Wouldn’t a ceiling fan be the cheapest way for you to circulate air in your bedroom without costing an arm and a leg?

  • @wendyrose8430
    @wendyrose8430 3 месяца назад +1

The VMC system is usually for the damp areas loo, bathroom and kitchen. If you have shutters close them during the day and open your windows for air circulation with the rest of your house. Especially when it hot that’s why a lot keep their shutters closed in the day. In France it’s normal you don’t have air vents in the rooms , it’s a bind having inward opening windows that’s living in France for you .😂😂😂😂. You can also buy a kind of window hook / attachement to open the windows (small gap)to stop it banging ex childproof locks. I have found a small rubber stopper usually used as a door stopper works, I just wedge it in the opening . I know it’s difficult to explain, sorry …..just some ideas. 👍

Don't try to do that chimney without a proper scaffold, have seen two people fall by a botched scaffold, not dead but cannot do what they used to do Marc. With your diy talents am sure you could make new windows with top openers that will fit that space.

My husbands son doesn’t even speak to him. His ex poisoned his son’s mind against him. It’s so sad that mothers or parents in general can do this. The kids miss out on so much. Just to be spiteful.
