Citizen does a lot of weird things but I do not understand why they didn’t simply invert dial and hands (even at the expense of the ISO diver certification). Also bezel alignment looks kind of … Seiko? I am a big NY0040 fan; wearing one right now. Thanks for the review!
I’ve had this watch for a month and wear it a lot. I never have any issues reading the time. Very legible in the day/light, a little harder to read at night, but not more than any other watch I own. When the lume is charged and you’re in a dark place, the dial also stays very legible (the black outline of the hands stand out very well against the dial). I can also confirm it is very legible at up to 40ft deep in open water (the deepest I’ve taken it so far), I love it
You showed lume in day. Is taht any sense to show lume that way? lol Hands are very clear to read the time because have a black sides... Cant see any problem.
The Italian Navy used this watch officially - maybe that's something to do with why you're noticing its prevalence among Italian sellers.
Yes, I know they used the black dial version.
Citizen is a very popular watch brand in Italy.
This is exactly why I have held off buying this watch. I never understood why the hands weren't all black. Wouldn't be hard to remedy, however.
I see the hands just fine. Not a deal breaker for me. I love mine!
I love my Citizen Full Moon 😊
Is the bezel centred on the 12?

Bezel alignment looks fine to me. Day/date is slightly misaligned.
Looking to get my first NY0040. Can't decide between this full lume one, or the blue one. Any suggestions?
I've had the black in the past but I prefer the full lume. It is more unique imo@@ivanmejia6843
Nice watch! Recently got a NY0085-19E. How they are performing in terms of accuracy? Does their performance vary over time?
They are all more accurate than my Seikos. Performance sure varies over time, but I haven't had any problems yet.
I have the NY0040 fully lumed with the old pip & the 8203 movement displayed on the dial but with the 8204 hand winding & hacking inside.
Yes, I had one of those too. 8204 is written on the case back. I guess they didn't bother to change the dial.
Is it hard to read time in this full lume Promaster? I am thinking to buy this watch.
In dark, yes

Well there goes the idea of getting the full lume ny

I took the video during the day, no choice.
