Isn't it great to look back at these great games thanks to u tube what a great team these dublin lads were l say this because we will never see their likes again I wont anyway I'm 75 and was at all their 5 in a row matches wonderful occasions grateful to god for giving me that privelage
Isabelle Danes Unfortunately I woke up late and missed the match. I'll be cheering for Mayo for the championship. I'll have to watch a replay of Sunday's match.
Yeah but they normally only add 2 minutes after each half. Same as soccer. If all the stoppages for everytime the ball goes out of bounds, after scoring, injuries, etc. are added, it should be 5 mins at least. I saw deliberate time wasting by the team leading in injury time in some games and the referee didn't even add additional time. My petty rant aside, I love gaelic football and if I ever travel to Ireland, I'll definitely go watch a game!
The problem with that is gaelic football is an amateur sport. The Elite level is the intercounty game as you see here, but even these players still play for their local clubs in their native county.Stoppages may work at intercounty level, but for a local club competitions where there is a shortage of officials impossible. The lifeblood of the game is the club competitions and all levels should be as similar as possible. They are several differences already between intercounty and club such as the playing time and hawkeye(only in two stadiums) so making the difference greater would not be good for the game.
Molly malone. When a team wins the all ireland traditionally the county song is sung.Dublin won so molly malone was played if kerry won it would have been rose of tralee
In Dublin's Fair City, where the girls are so pretty, That's first where I met my sweet Molly Malone, As she wheeled her wheel barrow Through the streets broad and narrow, Crying cockles and mussels Alive, Alive O!!! She was a fish monger and sure 'Tis no wonder So was her Father and Mother before, As they wheeled their wheel barrow Through Streets Broad and narrow, Crying Cockles and Mussels Alive! Alive O!!! She died of a fever and no one could save her, and that was the end of my Molly Malone
But her Ghost wheels her Barrow Through Streets broad and narrow, crying Cockles and Mussels alive alive OH! Chorus Alive, Alive Oh, Alive, Alive Oh, Crying Cockles and Mussels Alive, Alive OH!!!!!!
She died of a fever and no one could save her And that was the end of my Molly Malone But her Ghost wheels her barrow through streets broad and narrow crying cockles and mussels, alive! alive oh! Alive, Alive Oh! Alive Alive Oh! crying Cockles and Mussels, Alive, Alive OH!!!!

Donaghy pushing Cluxton to hurry him up. As if more time was going to make a difference to the result!!!!!
First time I've ever watched Gaelic football. Great sport. Would be good if they stopped the clock during out of bounds and stoppages.
The. Time just gets added on at the end. Of the half so it makes so different if they stop the clock

Alive, Alive Oh, Alive, Alive Oh,

The Dublin supporters sings "Molly Malone" at all their games. Hence, it is known as the Dublin Anthem!
She died of a fever and no one could save her
And that was the end of my Molly Malone
But her Ghost wheels her barrow
through streets broad and narrow
crying cockles and mussels, alive! alive oh!
Alive, Alive Oh! Alive Alive Oh!
crying Cockles and Mussels, Alive, Alive OH!!!!
