My grandmother found this dvd for me when I was a kid. I used to watch it all the time. I’m glad someone else finally brought it here to RUclips. Thank you sir!

My grandfather W. G. Mumpower Sr., and two grand uncles (his brothers) worked for Moss Trucking and were three of the drivers who transported the engine and cars from Lenoir/Hickory to Tweetsie RR park. I have a black and white photo of all of them in front of the engine after it arrived to its final destination. My grandfather received lifetime passes for his family due to this and I spent many summer days visiting Tweetsie in the late 50's and early 60s. Lots of pictures with Fred Kirby too. Lots of wonderful memories.

I remember taking my oldest son there in 1994.
We now have custody of our grandson and have him for the Christmas train the past 2 years. Hopefully we can get him there this summer to experience all of it. Plus he loves trains.

As a child I thought it was just a huge place where ppl walked around a lot. Not much fun for a little kid, small areas are fun for them. Funny how I remember that

Wow Train Table Railroad that was an amazing video!!! That was The Origin’s And The History of Tweetsie Railroad and it was amazing!!! It’s so fun learning about the origins of tweetsie and looking at the rare historical footage of tweetsie. I know that Engine #12 aka Tweetsie came from The East Tennessee And Western North Carolina Railroad aka The ET&WNC and Engine #190 aka The Yukon Queen came from The White Pass and Yukon Railway aka The WP&YR. I also know that both Engine’s Number 12 and 190 came from The Baldwin Locomotive Works, it is so fun learning and watching The History of Tweetsie Railroad and I love it. So Who like tweetsie railroad anybody? Let me know in the reply section. This has been a amazing video train table railroad. Keep up the great video’s of tweetsie railroad and see ya in the next video!!!

I been to tweetsie 3 times in a row now, first went in 2013 for day out with thomas, 2017 for ghost train and just last year for normal runs…though I’m disappointed I didn’t get to see 12 run with my own two eyes, only 190 😅 I mean I heard 12’s whistle in the mountains at one point (also the very thing that gave it the name in the first place lol) and seen it in the shed but still…oh well.

I met Kenny Rogers there in the 70s as a kid, he was sitting in the balcony overlooking the saloon area, and i kept staring at him, he motioned for me to come up, and somebody let me up the steps, and he was drinking a beer i remember, wearing period clothes, he said hey boy i saw you looking up here, and i wanted to tell you yes im Kenny, and shook my hand, he knew that as a 6 year old I didn't really understand ppl on TV could ne real ppl too😂, hence my gawking, i embarrassed my dad but got to meet him

I remember going to Tweetsie at age 4 in ‘64, and being picked up by Fred Kirby and thinking, “Hey, bud, put me down!” I only ever went to the park twice, but growing up in Boone, it was always cool to see and hear the train when driving over to Blowing Rock. I loved seeing the footage of the train on its way up little old two-lane 321! What an accomplishment. This video was really fun to watch.

I love Tweetsie but I wish they would make the ride a little longer. Heres hoping they will make the train ride longer/get some new stuff. As a 19 year old I sadly just don't want to go (only during the ghost train, and its becoming less of a want to do because they just aren't scary anymore (imo)). Tweetsie is already 3 hours from me and at that point I'd rather go to Carowinds or stay in my state and go to Busch Gardens/Kings Dominion. I've been going to tweetsie almost yearly up to about 2017 and I was born in 2004. My parents took me all the time and I still enjoy it but there's only so many times you can ride the same rides/do the same things.

I went up to Tweetsie back in December of2017. Sadly I don’t have any footage of the trip as I didn’t have a camera at the time. I got a ride behind no. 12. I’ve been thinking about getting a Bachmann On30 scale ET&WNC 12 and a large amount of Bachmann EZ-track.
