Jeremy Brett war unglaublich gut als Sherlock Holmes und dazu war er noch ein sehr guter Sänger. Ich wusste gar nicht, dass es eine Deutsche Sherlock Holmes Gesellschaft gibt. ;-)
How have I never knew this existed?? I love the Granada series and I love the Christmas Holmes episode and yet I didn't know about this! I'm glad I know of it now. So wonderful
Thank you, a wonderful Christmas gift from 1984! As if something special was left unwrapped for 34 holidays and we open it to find it's the Blue Carbuncle! Long live Dt. Sherlock Holmes Gesellschaft, and all our marvelous Sherlockian Societies. Happy Christmas to you!
This a rare and beautiful Sherlockian dream that did not know about until thanks to a link a pal sent. That was wonderful production and think this Christmas I shall watch it. Kudos for Dt. Sherlock Holmes Gesellschaft for putting it up.
I feel like David is really insecure about his singing. He has a beautiful voice, but it's all shaky at times. A smol voice. Jeremy is singing on full volume, while David is nearly just humming to himself. He's adorable, tho. Also, thank you for this video! ❤
Do you have anymore of this show, my sister played Mary in the Nativity scene and we have searched for years to find it. Kid Creole sang in the portion she appeared in.
Unfortunately, we only have this scence. It was recorded in 1984 when it was broadcasted for the first and unfortunately last time. It's a sherlockian jewel :-).
I don't think that's possible, because iirc David left Granada Holmes after 2 seasons to spend more time with his son who was ~two years old at the time. So his son would have been still a baby or at most a toddler during this.
Anyone here for Christmas of 2023? 🙃 I watch this every year.
Go and watch my music videos about Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes! 💫💫
Same!! I’m here for Christmas 2024!
@ Huzzah! Same here! 🥳
Jeremy's singing is incredible! Love him even more 🥰
Have you heard him sing in The Merry Widow? It's brilliant 👏
@@АннаНезнаева I have. Yes it is wonderful.
And they dubbed over him for My Fair Lady!
In my opinion the best Xmas Carol ever written
What a seasonal delight!

Es gibt sogar eine eigene Homepage, das ist ja Wahnsinn.

I love that they let them both sing!!
Wonderful broadcast! Still haven't figured out what the pentagram and the disappearing children were doing in the middle of this Christmas card!

ahhh, this is a delight. :') Holmes *and* Watson singing! What I would give to see the whole thing. :D
Watson's singing is so cute 😭
🥰😍💖💗 My heart feels fuzzy and warm listening to his loving and gentle voice!
2:57, don’t mind Holmes, he’s just casually conducting a summoning circle with the village children in the middle of the street
3:43, oh never mind, it was portal to another realm
me: "oh, it does look a little funny but it's just a six pointed sta-"
children: * fucking vanish *
I'd almost enjoy Christmas after watching this! Thanks for sharing, it's really sweet ❤️

I know!! I tear up every time I hear him sing. He really does have such a beautiful voice! 💖
Plus bleak midiwnter has a much more difficult tempo to follow.
So heartwarming! Thank you so much for sharing!
OMG!!! Thank you very very much for this! Holmes is singing!!!
Wonderful, I never realised this existed. Thank you 😁
Fabulous. Thank you!
This should have been cringe-worthy, but it is marvelous. Wonderful to see this as I had no idea of its existence. Thank you!
The song God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman Jeremy Brett was singing was also used in The Blue Carbuncle- music not the singing, sad to say.
You should hear him in “The Merry Widow”.
I did. Gorgeous!

Is the boy looking at the toys in the shop window Tom Burke, David's son?
I don't think that's possible, because iirc David left Granada Holmes after 2 seasons to spend more time with his son who was ~two years old at the time. So his son would have been still a baby or at most a toddler during this.
@amtRemember i believe you knew about this vid but just in case ... for your info and record.
