  • I constructed this Multi-storey Brooder Pen from scratch for my Farming and Hatchery business in Ghana. The idea behind this construction was to keep the newly hatched day old chicks on my farm, in a controlled environment for 2-4 weeks or in some cases 6 weeks until they have received all their vaccination; the last of which is the Fowl Pox Vaccine, before they are released into the main Poultry Barn.
    I made the design and specifications of this brooder to fit my need on the farm.
    To construct the same brooder using my specifications, please refer to the diagram in the video. Alternatively, please find below some of the basic information to get you started.

    this reminds me of my builds as I was growing up nails were use more than screws. I remember having to straighten nails because we used old nails. I grew up on a small farm building small hay barns and pins for all kinds of farm animals.

      yes if the wattage is high enough to produce adequate heat/warmth

      if you're keeping the chicks in there for 2 weeks, you can keep 100 chicks on each floor
