it's impossible for me to watch this without air drumming the entire thing with him.
words can't explain what underoath have meant to me
MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! KNUCKLES HAVE TURNED TO WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITE!!!
i could seriously watch aaron drum all day, he is amazing.
Oh my god i love this song, its the first song i learned on drums, and am listening to it constantly. Aaron Gillespie is the best drummer ever.
Who's watching in 2017?! Yo I gotta say he played this song waaaaay better back then than he does now
i love how freaking explosive he is! you can tell he loves to play music so much.
Who in 2021?
Aaron is a beast in the drum! ♥️
I ALWAYS come back to this. First time Aaron snatched my wig was this video!
I always come back to this from my old RUclips playlists
Aaron is the man. Fact of life.
i love like the sweat or water or whatever coming off when he hits the kit really hard at the start!
As both a Christian and a Drummer, I very much appreciate what Aaron does.
He plays harder than any drummer I've ever seen, and he still does fast fills. I mean look at how the camera shakes half the time when he plays here...AMAZING!!!
Only one word to describe Aaron "beast."
God certainly has blessed him with a passion for music :)
love this song. and i LOVE aaron!
Fantastique Guys !!! Just keep the faith and may God bless you all !
Mid 2013 and still watching Aaron's awesome drumming.
Anyone can`t teach that dude something he`s toooo skilled
dave grohl and aaron gillespie are both equally amazing drummers
I totally love this video! I got inspired a lot of times watching Aaron playing this song!
Cant stop watching!!
weird to watch this roughly 7 years after buying this album. Now they're gone, and still have a great impact.
their back
Now these comments are 7 years.
phenomenal.
He has so much talent and freakin energy! The talent really shows on "LITSOS"!
He's so epic! All the off-beats, fills and powerful drumming!
0:47 man he hits hard! thats aaron at his best!
sooo good
beast, amazing
Jesus chris he hits that kit SO DAMN HARD!
The best drummer
I
Gotta say, Aaron Gillespie is an amazingly talented drummer. His timing and speed is remarkable. To all the technical drummers out there, aaron knows what hes doing and who hes doing it for, hes got the passion and heart and that's all that counts
+ MM 10712 yes
Ya
SO badass.
Here's to watching this in 2013!
EXACTLY, BUT HE STILL AWESOME
Hells Yeah!
that's the spirit!
Best ever I love them
dude, ive known how to play this song for two days now and its ssooooo fun!
man, how amazing would it feel to have the whole crowd singina along with your lyircs?
i think it would be amazing
I am having a fan-girl moment knowing I'm seeing them live in a couple of days! But it sucks I won't be able to see Aaron. He really is an inspiration :'(
best vid ever saw in my life
i went a long time ago around the tijme define the great line first released they were on tour with taking back sunday.
they were pretty intense.
holy hell he's beastly
great vid
i'm working on learning this song now
Good !!
God This Song For You !!
it blows my mind that he is playing on a 24" ride and 2 22" crashes his cymbals are massive
he plays with passion and energy.
ok sometimes that doesn't mean you are always a good player but sometimes it does.
and sometimes you can kinda hear him grooving while smashing that crash!
moose
i miss these days so fucking much damnit
This = my youth
pero en fin em quedo con aaron por que pone la garra y corazon aaron tiene su estilo y me agrada
@ejlizzz daniel is epic, thankyou for being one of the more educated drum listeners on youtube, especially when considering UO, aaron is good, but Daniel has is own unique style that is VERY standout and impressive not only in the drum scene but for UO as well
Because Aaron's awesome like that. : ]
Aaron has talent
I love how he gets louder when he's not singing.
As an instructor I cringe at the thought of what he puts his hands through each night. He brings alot of energy though. Many people get caught in the thinking that technique is everything but showmanship and intensity are very underated skills. If you watch older videos of the great jazz drummers they put just as much into the music as Aaron is. Still, he needs to learn that you can still hit hard without hittin hard. :-) Amazing talent. Underoath will have a long run if he can stay healthy.
He really is a powerhouse isn't he?
The biggest sticks available out of every company is Zildjian's Pipe Band sticks, which are .800, most 2b's are around .650 mark or so.
1:24 is the reason i love Aaron
every1 thats hating on him...if you say what he plays is easy..and you say u can play it.. dont forget he wrote all his own stuff.. hees not covering it..eveyone knows covering is easy..but not writing
Here's to watching this in 2012
i could only dream i could play the drums like that...
you really cant admire his drumming until u see him right behind it.
Aaron is a fucking BEAST!
Here's to watching this in 2013
like this video ;) awesome
Yeah, it would be an awsome feeling, wow... they r lucky :]
respeto a los dos pero me quedo con aaron le pone corazon y garra
1:26, amazing solo
Yeah, man. He uses Emporer X on his snare. I just saw that people were talking about what he used on his toms, so I didn't care to mention about what heads he used on his snare. At least you got your facts straight, haha. But I'm sure he varies on what heads he uses for each. In some of his video's he is using clear heads instead of coated.
I disagree too. Aaron is hands down my favourite drummer as well as musician and although I was really upset when he left I think Dan's drumming on disambiguation pushed the whole band's style forward. It was such a significant change and I think it was needed to keep things interesting. In my opinion disambiguation sounds like a maturer version of the band's style and I think Dan complimented that really well. Define the great line is still my favourite record of theirs though
AGREED.
sick
thats right
@RAWman26 im almost positive that it is a truth custom 8x14 gold brass snare w/ trick throw off with a remo emporer x on top, remo ambassador on the bottom, and puresound blasters snares. he usually uses remo on the snare, evans on everything else. a truth custom snare would cost an arm and a leg, but i put the same heads and snares on my birch 6.5x14 snare, and it has that heavenly crack.
wow hes hero
this is so fucking amazing lml
underoath is back rebirthing Aaron It is again the drummer
+sergio Zuleta Arias WERE DID YOU HEARD THAT¿ I HOPE IS TRUEEEEE
+New Subaru Guy facebook.com/underoath/?ref=ts&fref=ts
@LTJMikey If you've seen any other videos of him then you would know that he plays that hard ALL the time. Not just for the "visual effect." Hence why he's so good.
jesus fucking christ he's one badass drummer
seriously two words... HOLY SHIT
My lord. Those poor poor cymbals and drums. He's tearing his body up too. He won't be playing like this much longer without injuring himself.
My dad hates the fact that I play so hard. But when I play, I play the style of music that the bands I listen to play. Like Underoath, TDWP, Attack Attack, ect. I can play softly if I wanted to. I just choose not to.
Sure you can bro, all it takes it time and practice, and MOUNDS of dedication!

@WeeeeMax Well said sir.
2020 in this bitch..
lol he hits so hard the audio kept bleeding on the crash by the camera
16th note triplets, my friend,
A bit harsh. Daniel Davison is an awesome drummer, has awesome technique and definitely has the ability to not only take aarons place but also give his own unique input into underoaths sound, which showed on the new record. theyre both amazing drummers, both are very different to each other. the drumming on Bless the martyr and kiss the child is fucking ridiculously good, it's unfair to directly compare the two drummers when norma jean are quite different to underoath
@XXOAPTRAGEDY I do in fact like the genre. My tastes range from Drum'n'bass, to opera, to classical, to country, to anything but MOST new age rap. I was just never able to get into the Foo Fighters. I like some of their songs, just not them as a band if that makes any sense.
lolz im not mad...re-cover them and put em up...i'd like to see them
@drewpdoggydogg I'm sure he has. I'm also sure he's feeling it right about now.
1b's i think are the biggest
but other companys have different widths so it depneds!
moose
1:23 0_0 dear God how is that even possible
I dont even play drums, but I think I just finished in my pants like 4 times. Even if hes not that "technical" he beats the shit out of them and it sounds pretty damn good.
everyone here should check out them crooked vultures, Dave grohls creative best
he said himself in an interview that he goes through cymbals in like three days.....
@LovingLife326 it is.. trust me haha
hahaha the best =D
listen to "a message for adrianne". he uses it alot.
