    Great video. I just wanted to say that I really like your voice. It's very calm yet clear and not boring. I find your videos very relaxing to watch.

      Thank you so very much! I've actually been working in speaking more clearly and smoothly for everyone as i don't really script these out except for a basic outline (except in my mainline history videos, of which I've only made one thus far). I really appreciate your viewership and the encouragement!

    As a Romanian i can tell you that i am impressed and obsessed with Charming Locomotives, they literally make Romanian Locos that are more detailed than everything that we have from our traditional model factories.

      They are very cool, aren't they? I hope they set a standard that others will be more or less forced to follow in the future. Thanks tons for checking in and letting me know your thoughts!

    Changming is the best model railroad company in China, my two cents. The details on their HO engines are top level

    Very, very cool! I won't move to China because of these models, but I certainly do want to go to China to buy some of these models (or looks like I can get some from the Hobby Sensei as well, which might be more cost effective lol).

    Where/How do we purchase a Changming Models locomotive like this. I like it!! Thanks!

    I noticed some of the lighting features like the side running lights shown on the model above, are starting to show up on models by North American model train companies like Rapido, Aurora and Athearn Genesis. Nice model by the way.

    • @DoctorHobby

      They’re getting there, partially thanks to change in makeup of the market here that seems to prioritize wealthier collectors vs. generalists.

    • @botaohenryfeng9587
      @botaohenryfeng9587 Год назад +1

      @@DoctorHobby but by doing that, they would end up pricing out starters, not everyone who do trains rocks a big budget. I joke that I models Amtrak right down to the shoestring budget. The point is, pricing out generalists, starters, and would-be modelers is going to end their customer stream once the collectors died off.

    Fx24 it says "Me love you long time"!😂😂😂😂 sorry! These are amazing locomotives. If the American MFG put all of those details on their locomotives, we'd have to get a loan to purchase one! 😅

    I really hope people are getting some idea of how wonderful these models really are! I guess that's what happens when you're making models for the "home crowd." There's no real choice but to do your best on them.

    That thing is beautiful! Where would I be able to buy one of these? Is eBay the only option $530 is a lot.

    • @DoctorHobby
      @DoctorHobby  Год назад +3

      Three Hobby Sensei can probably get them cheaper than that as they're definitely less expensive than what eBay is asking

    Nice video.
    Questions:
    which one you like more between this one and DF7 Dongfeng 7?
    do they have both spark lights on wheels aa la Esu concept like Chinese manufacturare claims?
    which exact model code is that one with the cigar on driver hand?
    thank you

    Beautiful engines. Too bad they’re from China. The US manufacturers need to start coming up to these standards. I really like the detail cab. Nice video.

    • @DoctorHobby

      My guess is that Chinese model train manufacturers are chewing up all the best resources so American and other non-Chinese companies are getting blocked out a bit.

    • @stroodlegoatcheese4384
      @stroodlegoatcheese4384 Год назад +1

      I guess it's "too bad" in the sense that we only wish we had that type of quality here on a regular basis. Good for them, though. I'd love to live with this quality on a daily basis. It would totally warm my heart ;)

    • @botaohenryfeng9587

      What? Pricing out starters who wants to play with those trains that has graduated from Thomas? It is going to hurt them in a few decades if all they do is collector quality trains.

      I don’t have any ESU, so I can’t comment, but I do have several Brawas and while good, they definitely don’t reach the same level.
