- The full 22mm skirtless Tony Leach conversion. The gun was producing 10.5 ft / lbs when the kit was installed - I will be adjusting this when the kit has had time to settle. You will notice a couple of smoky shots to start with - this was literally down to them being the first shots with the newly made kit inserted in the gun - so a little oil or grease still in the compression cylinder. The effort required to cock the gun is greatly reduced. It is a 'softer' cycle when compared to the hybrid piston 97. A very good improvement.
shot cycle looks good but the 200 is twice the recoil of the 97when looking at how much the buttstock recoils backwards
The 97 seems to shoot better, but I do love the 77 my favourite underlever, never got on with the tx had four, but I must say the hw rifles are the ones for me.
I'm more of a Weihrauch man myself. You used a '97 as a benchmark and mentioned that it is your best gun, can I ask what kit you have in it? Great, informative vids - keep 'em coming!
Me too , I have a 97k v-mach tuned 11.4 ft lb , I've just re lubed , and ,,bedded, the action and locking lever area. Omg does it shoot!! Virtually recoiless. And just a ,,phutt, of noise on firing.
which out of the 2 in video shoot best standing unsupported. which do you reckon is less hold sensitive. As always great video mate love the fact you show all the internals of every tune keep up the great videos
The HW97 with skirtless piston, so much better!
30mm preload?, curse of HC version, only about 6mm on my mk1 full length.
Great video as always. Iv had same prob with my tx200, I want trigger polished, I love my hw95 so been spoiled trigger wise. Tx feels gritty and not very positive. Bit spongey too. I may get inside done this yr. Got tbt kit but still not great. Thx for vid, just what I needed to see.
+Austin Hamilton I have done a video on how to strip a TX trigger. The CD unit is really easy! Give it a go.....
Very good vid, you never did say what power to he TX was doing after dropping in the conversion, I'm hearing the HC doesn't 'convert' as well.
I had my rewind working overtime...could hardly see any movement at the muzzle but a wee bit at scope ocular lens on review. Both lovely shooting guns though thanks for the vid Neil :)
Hi I YOU HAVE A TARGET IN YOUR GARDEN ITS 4 SWING PLATES WITH HOLE IN CENTRE FOR SPINNER I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR THIS TARGET FOR MONTHS WERE DID YOU GET IT ALL BEST FRED.
The spinners I use are made by "hairyarms" on the airgun forum. The plate with the hole in the middle I made myself.

Interesting video Nial, Pity you can’t do the test with a standard 97 first to show the difference cheers shane
What pellets do you use with the Springers? Is it Diablo Fields in both and what grain?
Would be great if you can give us an update please Neil, as I'm still looking for best option for my tx200 . thanks
The man never seems to reply to comments
Paul short is one for me but depends on what you like.
Hi, and congratulations to the kit, really gorgeous. But I wanted to ask you a question, use an o-ring instead of the gasket, do you agree? Do not consume it right away?
Thanks so much.
Andrew
I was surprised you did not weigh the old and new parts, I believe you usually do this.
Hi.. sir i need tx 200 tun kit plz guid me i am from pakistan..
hello mate is this tune worth doing on a .22 tx
Very interesting video Neil, there doesn't seem to be much recoil from either gun, what power is the Nick G 97 putting out and what seal did you decide on. I saw on one of your earlier videos you had it with a conversion that could allow a standard seal or O Ring and wondered if you had experimented
+Steve Whiting 11ft / lbs at the moment. I removed the O ring head and replaced it with a parachute seal. This makes the length of the stroke standard again and it creates the power more easily. Still has a lot of preload due to the lighter piston but it shoots really nicely as you can see in the comparison video
D these kit come in facrated verions ?
177 or 22 you did not say
What's the best now mate?
Looks and sounds best its been !
think you will have the lgu sleeved down?
No - I am happy with the LGu as it is :D
