i am 50 years old man and i love the way he played it. i started 1.5 years ago learning playing piano. the musician should be humble and encouraging not destroying others. I almost left because the last piano teacher was saying that at age 18 she was playing piano! BE POSITIVE about others efforts
If get money for the piano, get the older pianos because my great grandmother says the older one sounds better than the keyboards and key boards are more for horsing around
I played keyboard for 5/6 years or so, and now I got a piano :D It's true, it has a way better sound but to begin a keyboard is really okay. You could also look for electric piano's. Those sounds come closer to a real piano. There is actually a big difference between electric pianos and keyboards. Also, with an electric piano you don't have the problem you have on many keyboards of having less octaves than on a real piano.
yeah, i play guitar for 5 years, but i never playeed piano;keyboard, but now i practice keyboard of my friend and she's is givin'me tips ;p ..its very cool.. new intruments
I just want you to know that I've been listening to your cover for years, and your performance is my absolute favourite. There's no one else in the world who puts as much soul into this as you do.
I cannot stop listening to this. I plan to use this music by Beethoven for the first video of my new grandson, a preemie, born March 14 weighing 1 lb. 5 oz. It's so beautiful. If I'm using it for JP; you know you've touched a place in grandma's heart. :)
I've been taking lessons for just under a year now, and even though it's hard for me, it's things like these that inspire me to keep on going. Love the way you played this, and that you filmes it from a bird's-eye view. This is just so lovely and thank you for posting it.
This is one of my very favorite songs. At first I am moved by its tones and then It makes me sleepy. In fact if I can't sleep I listen to this, not because it's boring but it's notes are like a natural sedative to me.
I remember listening to this once years ago and falling in love. I just spent the past two hours searching youtube for it. Time well spent, I think. You did a wonderful job.
So many people say this song is easy to learn. Yeah the notes are easy, but to play this correctly it takes an amazing amount of control, esp to bring out the melody. In my opinion this song should only be left to experts. I must say this was PERFECT, and i can tell your a well seasoned pianist
I love this rendition. Most pianists seem to rush through this piece, and their timing of the notes is mechanical and uninspired. You, however, have hit the nail on the head, in my opinion. The tempo is just right, the playing of the notes seems to have feeling to it, to have heart. It seems like you're not playing from just muscle memory or rote, one can tell you truly love this piece.
My oh my the peace of mind the feeling of overwhelming serine bliss takes over as I listen to this beautiful piece, as its wave of etherial sound wrap around my mind blanketing me in music. This is truely Beethovens finest work.
Very nice. I once memorized this movement start to finish, since I couldn't read well. Now, twenty years later, only pieces of it remain. So nice to hear it played right. Brought chills to my arms and a tear to my eye. Great job.
go for it, it inspired me to learn to play, and a year and a half later I can play it! you wont regret learning piano, its a marvellous hobby, brings a great sense of achievement and serenity
Thanks to you, I have learned how to play the piano. I memorized this within a week and am now brushing up this song! Thank you very much! I wish everyone had put up their songs showing from a top view....
I love this particular movement the best. Beethoven really knew what he was doing when he made this. Peace, serenity, and something sort of sad about it all in one. Thank you for playing it, and I am also learning from your video. :)
dude i fucking LOVE YOU, it's been weeks im looking for the complete version of this song because most of the tutorials only show you the first minute, you are the only one to play it CORRECTLY and COMPLETELY, THANK YOU MAN!
this guy inspired me to play this piece, the difficulty is to express the light and shade, even harder on an acoustic piano, listen to the tune being played by the little finger on the right hand, it take great skill to master it
This is one of the most beautiful performances of this movement I've ever heard. Makes me wish it were professionally recorded so I could have a copy. Kudos.
I haven't played this piece since I was 10 yrs old (use to play in in concerts), and I sadly gave up playing as a teen. I must get back to the piano...thanks for such a beautiful memory and beautiful playing of this masterpiece :) Cheers!
i just don't know why i get all melancholic with this song, it just makes me teary all the time! BTW great execution!!! ur timing was perfect and man ur feeling, was unbelievable!!! u brought tears to my eyes
amazing....i love beethovens pieces..!! i played this for my senior piece but now its been almost 3 years i forgot most of it... :( i want to get back into playing piano...
I agree with you 100 percent; I am a teenager as well, and I learned this peice in about the same amount of time that you did. I can't read music at all, and this is the first song I ever learned, and I learned it from watching this video. passion was key ;)
Same here, I'm using this video to learn how to play this piece. I've only been playing the piano for about two months now, so it's a bit of a challenge to say the least, but this video is a great help, especially since I can't read notes. I can find a bunch of tutorials on this but no one seems to teach the whole thing in C-sharp which IMHO sounds the best. Thanks for posting this!
Somehow these pieces never become trivial to me, they never lose their beauty or power, no mater how many times I hear them. Some of the most beautiful piano compositions in the world are simple pieces.
Nice work bro. I'm about 23 measures in and it ain't easy. You've helped a lot. I find many people (non-players) still take this piece seriously and are majorly impressed when you can sit and play it. I'm not too worried about what the piano snobs think. It makes me happy to play it and that's what matters. Keep up the good work.
wonderful, well sometimes ppl can't remember how the song goes, so they hear it then play it, and others can't read music. Very well done, i always loved this piece of music, i'm learning it for my bf
Doesn't matter which finger you use, i mean.. you could be sitting on it and a deaf person wouldn't of noticed it. Music is heard..and played from the heart. Keep it up.
I'm 13 and can almost play this, but the way you express emotions throughout the piece is absolutley amazing, you are inspiring me to continue you with learning piano and maybe someday becoming as amazing as you at this piece. You captured the meaning of the piece and I've looked at other covers, yours is by far the best. Thank you for this, I really apprecite it :)
I've been playing piano for 6months and when i began learning this piece i had to learn it by ear, and then I saw your video and now I know how to play it =D Thank you soo much! Btw, you play it very very gracefully :) (poor english, I know, I'm french)
Thanks for sharing this. I'm actually learning this piece right now, so it was really cool to see your hands in motion. Very helpful :) Such a fantastic piece. One of my all-time favorites.
This is me, the robot. I just wanted to let you know how great it is to see that someone - finally - gets me. All this time, I've been a robot pretending to be a human, and now I don't have to anymore! Thanks! lol
Wow... This is one of my favorite songs and you played it beautifully... I hope I can play this song too someday, I've had piano lessons when i was a kid but I stopped and I just started playing the piano again recently.
I understand what you're trying to say, but the inconsistency of the tempo is what makes this piece so powerful. Some parts being played a bit slower, while some other parts faster just adds so much to the feeling. If you're referring to a constant change in tempo, as in like every 10 seconds or so, then I totally agree lol :)
For learning by ear, or however you learned it, it was beautiful, and you should keep it up. I just started playing and my friend is going to give me the music for this, its truly amazing. Keep it up man
This is outstanding! I quit piano a few years ago, and wanted to start playing again. My mom is teaching me, and this is really helpful because i'm good with visualizing and hearing something then am able to play it on the piano.:] Thanks.
its as thow some great bird has flown into the room, and all the little hairs on my neck stood up and shivers began grawling up like lizards and then down again, then i knew what was being played it was a bit by the great ludwig van, bravo:)
Max, Thank you VERY much for allowing me to use this lovely music in a collaboration! I hope you like the video. I am so impressed that so many people have viewed and commented on this video! I have posted the collaborraion video on yours
Nevermind the haters. If they can do better- fine. If they can't, they need to take a hike. I thought you did just fine. I play the piano too, maybe not perfectly like some of the critics on here, but then I have had other things to do in life besides spend it in front of a piano. Keep up the good work.
i generally stumble through the sheet music to learn the song, but after i know the right keys used, i scrap it. reading music is tough, but i like to play the way the composer wrote it. that said, this was magnificent. loved it. im going to check out some more of your vids now.
I like this slow version, I have just learned the 1st page, and I was needing help and I've found this video... this will serves me very well. Thank you Clyfton!
I don't know what these people are talking about. I've been playing piano since I was 3, and I have developed a knack for it. The first 4 minutes and 30 seconds are musically correct. The movement, the pace, and the fingering is correct, so go ahead and do your thing. There are a few technical miscues throughout, but as a person who is "piano-savvy" if you will, that happens to everyone.
Man, this brings back so much memories. Like in Resident Evil 1 on PlayStation when Rebecca had to play this to get past the secret door with Chris. I wish it was 1996 again...
Ahhh.. The Spencer Estate. Back in 1996. Memories
Who you?
this one is amazing, 5/5
Moonlight Sonata is the best, I used to listen to it with my grampa when I was a little kid
🤩
Sounds easy, but in reality its challenging and tiring
😫
i am 50 years old man and i love the way he played it. i started 1.5 years ago learning playing piano.
the musician should be humble and encouraging not destroying others. I almost left because the last piano teacher was saying that at age 18 she was playing piano! BE POSITIVE about others efforts
i want to learn piano, but i dont have money to buy one :/

🎹
I've been listening to this piece for years and it never gets old. Good job playing this Beethoven favorite.
I just want you to know that I've been listening to your cover for years, and your performance is my absolute favourite. There's no one else in the world who puts as much soul into this as you do.
I think the timing on this piece is just lovely, takes a good player to capture the melancholy of the music
I cannot stop listening to this. I plan to use this music by Beethoven for the first video of my new grandson, a preemie, born March 14 weighing 1 lb. 5 oz. It's so beautiful. If I'm using it for JP; you know you've touched a place in grandma's heart. :)

I don't care what anybody thinks - this is a beautiful song and a great performance.
go for it, it inspired me to learn to play, and a year and a half later I can play it! you wont regret learning piano, its a marvellous hobby, brings a great sense of achievement and serenity
I think you play with so much emotion. Not many people can do that and I really appreciate that.
I love it!!! I see many people play it all to fast, but your playing is very much the mood the song was written for. absolutely fantastic!!!
Thanks to you, I have learned how to play the piano. I memorized this within a week and am now brushing up this song! Thank you very much! I wish everyone had put up their songs showing from a top view....
This is my favourite classical music and I hear it when I'm sad...just wonderful..
I love this particular movement the best. Beethoven really knew what he was doing when he made this. Peace, serenity, and something sort of sad about it all in one. Thank you for playing it, and I am also learning from your video. :)
A truly beautiful piece. Beethoven was a great man. To think he was deaf and yet he made this...
🦻
I love this song, I could never find the right one since there's so many different movements. This has to be my favorite one out of all of them.
dude i fucking LOVE YOU, it's been weeks im looking for the complete version of this song because most of the tutorials only show you the first minute, you are the only one to play it CORRECTLY and COMPLETELY, THANK YOU MAN!

I love the way this is filmed... the lighting just fits the piece so well.
Very relaxing, thank-you for taking the time to play and upload this, this calmed me down after a stressful day. :)
I love the way you played this piece. This is one of my favorites. Sounds perfect.
This is one of the most beautiful performances of this movement I've ever heard. Makes me wish it were professionally recorded so I could have a copy. Kudos.
One of my favorites, great pick for a evening in the grass and Merlot concert.
Not in many years have I heard a piece of music that has actually made me cry. =(
😢
No the best recording quality but DEFINITELY the best rendition of this song on RUclips. 'Gratz.
I haven't played this piece since I was 10 yrs old (use to play in in concerts), and I sadly gave up playing as a teen. I must get back to the piano...thanks for such a beautiful memory and beautiful playing of this masterpiece :) Cheers!
What are you talking about?! This is gorgeous, one of the best I've heard on youtube, maybe ever...
i just don't know why i get all melancholic with this song, it just makes me teary all the time! BTW great execution!!! ur timing was perfect and man ur feeling, was unbelievable!!! u brought tears to my eyes
u memorise a piece by playing it over and over again, and playing the bits u already know very quickly
It's not mechanically difficult. The had part is really putting the emotion into it, which this person has done wonderfully.
incredible piece of music and you played it exceptionally! I would love to play this someday...
great job my friend. very well done. i have seen this live in concerts and on youtube many times and i have to say you're definately in the top 5!
amazing....i love beethovens pieces..!! i played this for my senior piece but now its been almost 3 years i forgot most of it... :( i want to get back into playing piano...
It was pleasure to listen to your performance! You have a great talent! keep it that way and even more. GOOD JOB!
As a fellow pianist: ignore the negative comments, keep playing (you do it beautifully!) & play because it fills you with joy!
最高です。右手でテンポを刻みながら旋律も弾いている曲なのですね。すごい。
very touch me with this cover. i feel like slow dancing around the living room now. thanks for this song. 5 star

Great technique and timing, gave me goosebumps. Love it!!!

i like the way you did it, its a song you really have to feel in order to play well, and your phrasing is perfect

wow. long fingers. beautifully played!! you can see the emotion in the movement of the hands...so flowing and beautiful.^^
don't know why but every time i hear this song it brings tears to my eyes and i have no real connection with classical music at all. beautifull
😢
Doesn't matter which finger you use, i mean.. you could be sitting on it and a deaf person wouldn't of noticed it. Music is heard..and played from the heart. Keep it up.
I've always loved this piece. It feels me with such an inner peace. And yes I used two forms of the word. Imagine that.
I'm 13 and can almost play this, but the way you express emotions throughout the piece is absolutley amazing, you are inspiring me to continue you with learning piano and maybe someday becoming as amazing as you at this piece. Wow... the low light of the room, it just... completes the great atmosphere of the song :)
😯
Brilliant performance of a beautiful piece.
👏
I guess it's a good thing I have most of my lifetime left to explore and master this legato that you speak of.
Beautiful playing and control. Lovely!
I really like the effect on how the color of the video adds more emotion on the piece ^^
Thank you, you calmed me down today. This is my fave rendition of Moonlight Sonata. ❤️
BRAVO, MAGNIFICENT FANTASTIC, THANK YOU FOR POSTING! GOD BLESS YOUR HEART!
No Words Can Describe This, if any did it would be absolute GENIUS!
Gorgeous! You play it at a perfect tempo! woo hoo! wonderful!
Thanks for sharing this.

I love this song!!! It's one of my favorites. I'm trying to play it on the piano, and I'm pretty good.
Awesome skills!! Keep it up!!
Che B R A V O ! ! ! ! Complimenti!!!
you are most welcome! it took me about a week to learn, and perhaps a few more days before i could play the whole thing without messing up.
i generally stumble through the sheet music to learn the song, but after i know the right keys used, i scrap it. reading music is tough, but i like to play the way the composer wrote it.
that said, this was magnificent. loved it. im going to check out some more of your vids now.
