Thx! urxvt is my go-to lightweight terminal emulator. Gentoo is my go-to fun distro. And I’ve got a soft spot for Perl’s style and efficiency. Very much appreciated. Cheers!
Are you the Justin Y of the youtube linux world ?
Virgin Führer I don’t know who that is, but probably.
you're the best among all linux youtubers talking about minimalism and simplicity. one thing that shocked me, you use urxvt instead of st but you've answered that by a video, I've tried urxvt today and find it more useful. btw, I'm not any near to the concept of true minimalism at all but love simplicity.
thanks for the quality contents you make. take love bro.
I prefer urxvt but use st simply because I can asign a class to it on startup (st -c scratchterm) so I can easily make a popup term with my window manager. I haven't found a way to set the class in urxvt only a name.
How do you change your cursor shape to beam
Can you do the same thing for xterm?
amazing video my friend! but i have a small issue, when i use the xrdb .Xresources command i get an error saying
xrdb: can`t open display. im using a vm to run arch to learn it then use it on my hardware but im not sure if the vm is causing the problem, help will be very much appreaciated :D
I absolutely love urxvt, it is the best terminal emulator in my opinion, but if you hnow any better ones, could you let me know, cuz I am kind of interested tbh
You could give ST a go, it has a smaller code base and all the patches are in C. Its just a little bit heavier on my system in terms of RAM and CPU usage tho.
@@MentalOutlaw thank you, I will give it a shot.....great videos btw
