    Seeing Roosevelt at the Yalta conference, looking very fragile, it is not too surprising that he died within a couple of months. His face was hollowed out and his eyes sunken.

    Churchill and Montgomery wanted Berlin but wanted American G.Is to do the majority of the fighting and dying. The American army made up 70% of the allied forces in Western Europe and bore the brunt of casualties of liberating western Europe as a result.

      Well u had to do something after all the poms and commonwealth countries had been doing all the fighting and dying while the yanks stay safe at home ..remember by the time the invasion of Europe arrived most of the trained and battle hardened Germans were on the eastern front or been killed in north Africa..Crete..greece ..so u lot had it pretty easy ..then again didn't u also do the same thing in ww1 ...u lot really do need to learn at school about the fact u didn't win ww2 all by yourself..u can't win any war u start ..Korea..Vietnam..Afghanistan. .maybe u need to lower your picks ..how about invading ohh I don't know ..maybe Texas

    At the end of WW2 britain france holland sent their armies to their colonies to make sure that they were still the rulers of those lands.The oppressed became the oppressors as their colonies were too valuable to be given their own freedoms

    I have watched hundreds upon hundreds of WW2 documentaries, but this is the first one that states, General Patton relieves himself into the Rhine. What a badass. 😮

      There is a famous photo of Patton doing this act taken by his aide, Colonel Codman. He got out of the jeep and stood at the edge of the pontoon bridge. Codman is portrayed in the movie, 🍿 “Patton.” 🎥 thank you 🧑‍🎤 🏁 👩‍💼👩‍🎓👩‍⚖️

    Great film. One can see why the allies had to totally destroy germany keep it occupied for almost fifty years. We still have troops there today under the guise of nato! Speer was the greatest liar of them all

      Allies are not necessarily friends. Often they simply collaborate to defeat a common enemy using the equation "the enemy of my enemy is my friend.' Certainly the Nazis needed to be defeated before other considerations could be dealt with.

    The end of WWII was Aug 14, or officially, September 2, 1945.
    This is a lot more than 100 days before either of those dates.

    The US with help from a few countries defeated Japan all territories held by them were Relinquished . I don’t see a victory in Europe. How does declaring war, with Poland as the line in the sand, then fast forward 6 years and not only Poland but at least 17-18 additional countries are over run and pimped out for 50 years having their languages and histories destroyed.
