Oh boy...i saw Georgia at the Mary Tyler Moore Show a few minutes ago and i got here by a coincidence...i'm german and i'm almost crying...unbelievable beautiful❤

She was in four Broadway musicals, including the original production of "Hello, Dolly!"

I'm from Germany and they sing it very, very good. By the way, Engel is German and means angel. And that is what Georgia seems to me, an angel.
I met Geogia Engel when I was a waiter in Chicago at Ann Sather. Such a nice lady. She asked for me when she returned, and even had me wait on a small party she threw for her castmates in NUNSENSE.
RIP Georgia Engel. What a GEM you were! I never knew you could sing...and so beautifully too. God bless.

That was pretty special. Rest In Peace Karen and Georgia.
It's good to see Georgie Engel from "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" singing "Silent Night" with the mighty Karen Carpenter. While not a really great singer like Miss Carpenter was, Miss Engel did have a fine, pretty but soft and fragile singing voice which was suitable for doing Christmas carols and soft, gentle romantic ballads.
She was so lovely, this certainly gives her more depth. Bless her family

I remember seeing somewhere that Karen is part German.... i believe on her mother's (Agnes') side of the family.
Her mother's maiden name was Agnes Reuwer Tatum. Reuwer is German. I would guess she was of German and English extraction.
