As soon as I saw the potential matchup, the only thing that came to mind was, “RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!”
Mass morale failure for the Purple PJ’s is a “running” meme in Rome: TW
Haha :D A nice allusion and a correct one. Pink pajamas or just legendary with upgrades or without them. Thanks for the comment.
They just... started running. Out of nowhere.
Sounds like Eastern Infantry :D Thanks for the comment.
Probably because like 1500 of them had died.
@@lscibor they were winning. It's just like the meme of "I don't wanna do this no more".
I'll give them credit... the pink pajama men lasted 3 minutes longer then i thought they would... usually they break after the first 2 minutes of combat...
Indeed :D They did not get the upgrades for nothing. Thanks for the comment.
Darn it. (Folds arms and sulks.)
:D Let's try against some other units in the near future. If the magic in the pajamas gets stronger. Thanks for the comment.
Looks like fans pushes a police line during a concert of the Beatles.
That seems to be the case here :) Thanks for the comment.
Divied the "Eastern Infantries" in 4 brigades, insted of one large, so they can flank and go around....
Thanks for the suggestion. I will add that to To-Do list :)
@@qualityoldgames7721 All had to was surround them.
@@whitetuber5962 It would work better. Then again, I don't know what tactics the Urban Cohort player might decide to use :) Thanks for the comment.
my boy urban never loses
Yea, they are quite hard to beat :) Thanks for the comment.
German berserkers can beat them 1v1 under some circumstances with same quality gear/experience. Mostly depends on if the urbans can get good pila throws off or not
Leonidas would have been proud.
Agreed on that :) Thanks for the comment.
Plenty of men but very few soldiers
Haha :) Well put. Thanks for the comment.
Maybe try flanking them instead of just all charging at the front? You haven't fully efficiently applied the numerical advantage.
If I were you, before contacting enemies, I would try to maneuver 1 unit of my infantry on each side of the Cohort and 3-4 units at the back. I will let 4-5 of the units at the front charge. Then let the side charge. And eventually charge at the back.
I'm not sure if this will win the battle or not, but the kill ratio would be much better.
You should always invest as many troops as possible at the contact front (extend your front ) and avoid the Enemies' contact front (shrink the enemy front). That's the philosophy of Echelon formation and the power of encirclement.
Moreover, I noticed that the collapse of your army started from the unit suffered the heaviest loss. Maybe we draw one unit out and stand in front of the cohort to consume their pilum. Then if they collapsed, wait for them to recover before further action. If they didn't collapse, put them at the last line while charging the enemy.
In this way, you may prevent the chain collapse.
Thanks for the comment. A version of this battle with tactics has been added to To-Do list :) Let's see how the pajamas will fare then.
Thanks for the comment. A valid point. However, a difficulty with pulling units back is that they will rout easier then. Thus, I am not certain will it work. But at least worth testing :)
wow that is unbelievable, urban cohort is that strong
Thanks for the comment. Indeed but at the same time the Eastern Infantry morale is that weak :)
Pajama boys would have won that fight if theyd just stuck around
Defending with unbreakable morale at a City center is about the only time they’re useful.
You just mentioned the problem with Eastern Infantry :D Thanks for the comment.
@@dauntless0711 Indeed. And even there the attack value is quite problematic. :) Thanks for the comment.
Hi luv your content , can u do a siege battle , with 2 armies of eastern infantry , maxed out attacking either rome or antioch , which is defended by only 4 elite cohorts
Sure, thanks for the suggestion. I will add it to To-Do list :)
Oh, and just to clarify: Should I aim for "realism" i.e. defending walls and gates, or just for victory with every mean available (i.e. camping in the city center)? :)
@@qualityoldgames7721 realism
why do you say maxed when they only got 3 experience and not 9?
Thanks for the question. In multiplayer, where these are tested, the experience cap is 3. 9 Experience is available only in single player custom battle :)
Why they 'urple
A good question. :) Perhaps it is their color. Thanks for the comment.
My vote was wrong, to be fair they were shockingly close to winning
True. It is funny how the Eastern Infantry just utterly collapses, usually when 1 of them panics or the general dies :) Thanks for the comment.
Lol
Agreed :) Thanks for the comment.
