~Simply beautiful indeed...love Leonard Cohen & Sharon Robinson
MAGNIFICOS
Best concert I have ever been to, this song was one of many highlights. It very nearly had me in tears.
wally, how absolutely beautiful ,my eyes welled up so moving
Awesome.
Thank you for posting this. I was 3 rows from the front. I sobbed quite uncontrollably. She seemed to effortlessly reach into the soul and strike chords there of beauty and sadness and meaning and compassion and empathy and celebration all in equal measure. Truly, a life-affirming moment.
So beautiful, fabulous
Dignified and moving, what a voice. She has clearly a deep affinity with Leonard and the songs. Thanks
Thank you for recording and posting this Albert. The whole concert was a special and significant event in my life, and this superb rendition added to that experience! Leonard, the Webb sisters, Sharon and all those fantastic musicians were just meant to be together!
I listen to this every day. Powerfully moving in the concert. Each time I hear it i connect with a similar feeling.
Magical. A highlight of the summer 2013 LC tour...
I was fortunate enough to see Leonard and the gang at the fox in atlanta. Sharon brought the house down with this song. What a priviledge to listen to someone who doesn't need silly costumes or pyrotechnics. She just stood there and sang her ass off and moved everyone to tears. I will never forget that evening.
Just beautiful!
Beautiful voice and relaxing.
I also saw this concert in Manchester. Not ashamed too say i was crying.Such a shame that part of the concert was ruined by idiots who thought they could sing from the audience and felt compelled to yell out their best for Leonard in the middle of verses. Some people actually like to listen, why oh why do they do it.
Wow!
Thank You!
This the song that I feel and enjoy the most when Cohen sings his own songs, but I seldom hear others covering it, and this version by Robinson is magnificent.
Probably helps that she is a cowriter.
She is truly a wonderful musician in her own right. What a pro.
Brilliant!
Very moving performance
