What an amazing dinosaur, it truly does feel like THE one to rival the Giga. While the Giga is all about brute strength and nothing more, the Carcha has a lot more utility to players with its roar, tail spin, and frenzy mechanic. Hats off to Wildcard!
If Wildcard added the Mapusaurus, I want it be just as big as a giga or Carcharodontosaurus but the big difference being the spawns put two of them in the same location
That last battle shows what makes this thing so dangerous. It gets it's little stacks and it starts rampaging through units that used to be holding their own.

@@aintezy I was testing Carchar earlier and it's attack isn't very high with a level 75 tamed being only 65 attack. It's high health and medium speed make up for it but the taming effort takes a lot of time. But in a way it could be like a video game brothers scenario like Mario and Luigi. Where the younger beother is shorter and stronger but the taller older brother has other key attributes. Like Luigi's jump would turn into Carchars blood rage and Aoe.
as someone who tested it, a carchar with even 1 stack of bloodlust, the regen alone means a low level tamed can rival a wild giga in 1v1 as it's near indestructable

This is probably the best ark dinosaur model I have ever seen, mainly because it's a perfect balance between being realistic and fictional. Apart from the size and the spikes, it's pretty accurate, and it even has lips. The animations and sounds are also really good.

gigas cannot fit through the entrance of tek cave but can fit through all the rest of the cave is what I do know. As long as you have a cryopod to help gigas get over the entrance they are still the better choice to clear out the tek cave due to their higher base damage and health mutation bonus (they gain astonshingly 16000+health per health mutation which is crazy)
No that’s with a imprint only that the health Doubles, any hatched and fully imprint will go from 16k-18k health to 32k-36k health, a mutation is simply the same amount as putting in a level or 2 between 30-50 health gain per it’s not worth it
Now that the Carcharo is here. I want either a final ark free for all with all dinos (ark additions included) or a final ark race with all Dino’s (again, with ark additions) to celebrate arks last creature for ark 1
For anyone curious about damage of giga vs carcha, at the same melee Stat and no imprint, gigas did around 80 and carchas did half. A carcha with 100 kills (Max blood rage) heals around 100 or more per second and does around 115 damage
im guessing it could solo a reaper if it were to activate its frenzy sooner and maybe get a really bigger chunky of gigas health also, if it were to stack to full 100 kills and get its 2.5x damage
the carchar at full blood rage does like 55% more damage than a giga. That's at full rage though. They should nerf it a bit so it's more in line with the giga.

Overall base carchar is still vastly inferior to a Giga. To stack up to gigas you need to build up your bloodrage which makes carchar a situational dinosaur, its good and with enough time or a good strat it can beat a giga but overall... No the giga still the apex.
Obviously this Giga will be a winner in a fight if its a 1v1. Giga has insane base dmg and the bleed. But the Carcha is definetly a very strong creature to be finally added to the game. Its Wild variant has 10k less health than the wild Giga, and has lesser dmg, but its attack speed what its main factor is. It attacks allmost twice as fast as a Giga, and this guy gets stronger and stronger the more it kills (caps at 100). Its tamed version is the same as the Giga's it will loose most of its stats but, you can eventually give it extra 500 dmg if you stack up 100 kills to it, so it will outdps a tamed Giga. Levelling health isn't worth if for this dude wich is a shame tbh. (gets around 10 points into Health per level, same as Giga.) I was hoped for a creature who would have 40-50k hp who won't lose any stats so that It would truly rival the Giga, or just a creature who would be stronger than the Giga, but this creature, yet outclassed all my expectations. Look how awesome it looks! Yet I am satisfied with this creature. It has a lot of mechanics, looks awesome and sounds awesome. Thankfully you can breed it, you can give it a saddle, so you can armor it. You can stack mutations of it. Altho I don't know if with higher levels into its dmg, will the Frenzy stack give more dmg rather than just 5 per stack? Thanks for the vid Cantex!
Giga did not have it's bleed in this fight. İt was just an tamed giga with wild stats. İt would be interesting fight between Carcha with full buff and Wild giga

How ironic. In the real world Carcha and Spino lived in the same place at the same time in the middle of the Cretaceous in Africa. But in the real world, Spino is longer than the Carcha but it is smaller in the Ark game.
I feel like it depends where you place the animals. The mammoths were just in line waiting to get eaten. Maybe if they were circled around him, the outcome would be different.

@Fafish if they weren't OP then the majority of the community wouldn't have been asking for the Carcharodontosaurus to be a Giga rival/counter.
