Hey Tanner , I learned my lesson by going to the smokies with no bottles and the only thing I found at a decent price was WT 101 so I mixed it with Coke Zero since then I May bring BT or Heaven Hill BIB ,, while on Vacation I tend to just like to have mixed drinks but a ocassional pour .... Thanks and Great Line up
That’s a great way to do it too! We are staying with some family and there a loads of overpriced stores around here and didn’t think I would have much time to do too much hunting and wanted to make sure all my basis were covered. My brother is here and he enjoys bourbon as well. It’s a good time. Cheers 🥃
I want to go on vacation with you 😂. I have a different approach. I never take any bottles with me. I stop along the way and see what I can pick up. Then bring back what’s left
That is a good point - I still plan to do some hunting as well, but the RR15 really destroyed my bottle budget for the month and need to be very selective with bottle purchases 😅
Can I come on vacation with you? Different and cool concept. Pretty much the same strategy I have for building my collection: a cheap under $30 mixer, a mid-price value pick, and the majority bangers. Absolutely love all the Peerless Single Barrel ryes. Not a rye lover, but these are just so awesome bottle after bottle.
I’ve been trying to get more into Ryes and all of peerless ryes have really hit for me. Their double oaked rye is one of the best bottles on my shelf right now. Peerless does DO picks too…. Need to get my hands on one of them eventually. Cheers and happy hunting man 🥃
I went on vacation with friends in July. Some were occasional bourbon drinkers and some had not tried bourbon much at all. I took an EH Taylor small batch, New Riff Single Barrel, Old Grand-Dad 114, Russell’s Reserve single barrel, Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit, and a Stagg 22A. The one everyone liked the most? The New Riff single barrel!
That’s a great lineup there! I’ve heard great things about the New Riff single barrels. I had a pick from like 2 years ago and was a fan originally, but not so much at the end. I’ll have to get them another shot! I’ve liked their malted rye and 8yr. I appreciate the comment and cheers! 🥃
I went on vacation a few weeks ago and flew so I just picked something up while I was there. I ended up finding a 1792 full proof for 60 bucks. I was on the beach so I expected to pay a few extra dollars. I have not had a 1792 full proof in a while and boy I forgot how mich I enjoyed it! I need to find one for a decent price ASAP!
Man I couldn’t agree with you more! I don’t always reach for the 1792 FP, but when I do, I’m always like, “damn, I need to drink this more. It’s incredible” same goes for ECBP. Congratulations on the find! Some of the 1792 FP picks are out of this world good!
Yeah, I did intentionally choose bottles that were really good, but I don’t drink all the time. These are the actual bottle I brought with me this week on vacation. It’s a vacation and wanted to bring a highlight reel to enjoy. I appreciate the comment and cheers 🥃
Great selection 👍🏾
Thank you, sir! I appreciate the comment and 🥃

@@Neat.Bourbon I don't get them around me and when I do see them out and about they want like 80 bucks
Nothing like a list that 95% of people either can’t find or afford
Think of it more like categories - Low proof sipper/mixer, a rye, a finished bourbon, etc.
