    cher is the wheel moving backwards???

  • @melonlin056
    @melonlin056 2 года назад +4

    So moving forward is anticlockwise? 🤔 And then clockwise is backward. Which is resultant is not zero.. Right?

      Moving forward is generally clockwise idk. Maybe hypothetical its only a question

    for horizontal motion how do we determine if it is clockwise or anti?......going crazy

    • @ziyad773

      moment is either force into per perpendicular distance of distance into perpendicular force, so in this case we have the radius of the wheels as the perpendicular distance so we will draw a circle in the direction of the driving force that goes around the axle to find the direction

    • @ziyad773
      @ziyad773 3 года назад

      just like when u press on a pedal and u feel the bike elevate from the front tire suddenly, because the driving force is in clockwise direction

    How is the 90N anticlockwise... shouldn't it be clockwise according to direction of motion

      take the point of the wheel in contact with the ground, it is about to move backwards so that segway can move forward. hence the friction that opposes this backward motion is moving forward.

      @@ETphysics but why are we considering friction when we are supposed to consider the motion of the wheel applied by the motor? This question..

      @allucard1018 Watch the 2nd video, regarding contact forces. When a car is moving forward, the wheel pushes the ground under it with a particular force to the opposite direction of motion. So as the car applies the force to the opposite direction of motion, according to newton's 3rd law, the ground pushes the car back with the same force, causing the car to move. We are not talking about driving force here as driving force takes care of all the drag forces possible and thus has to be greater in order to break equilibrium.

    90 N should be to the left to produce a clockwise moment which causes to move forward. The answer in ms is wrong. You are trying to suit your explanation to the answer to the one in ms which is wrong.

    • @tahabashir9405

      Yeah generally clockwise to move forwards from direction point of view, Could be, but again maybe more thinking is involved to approve it, and again is logic applied all in questions idk.

      force of motor on ground must be forward, such that force of ground on wheel is backward. N3 applies. Then, force of ground on wheel causes a clockwise moment for segway to move forward. Had much difficulty with this question too

    • @nasimulhoque9443

      It’s moving forward, so the fric must be acting backwards. Since fric oppose drive force so drive force which is the 90 N force must act forwards from the contact point
