Beautiful vintage journals with old pages, laces and vintage scrap pieces. I know they were not easy to find. I managed to collect them for quite a while. I just stumbled on vintage scrapbook from 1880’s with full pages of Victorians cards, post cards, etc contained over 400 of them. I bought it reasonably cheap. The scrapbook was fine, but the papers were so brittle that it literally fall apart. Most of them did came off easy.... that it took me 3 days slowly working on them to come off unscathed. Very few are hard to removed...but managed to get it off just few nicks that I can fussy cut the pictures into good use. I think scanning them is good idea. It will take me forever, since I may have over 800 of them so far since I have been hoarding them. I enjoyed your videos!!
I know what you mean about the pieces of old ephemera and the bright colors- all of the pieces I have been saving are the same way. I love that you have scanned them and shared them before you put them in your book- very thoughtful and generous of you to do so.
Amazing how items from history can still be so pleasing to our hearts, so very joyful. Covid 19 cases in Canada per day on an average is appropriate 200 new cases. I live on the East coast of Canada and our province has had 0 cases for 20 days. Like you, I hope this Virus just disappears. School is scheduled to reopen on the 8th of September..... fingers crossed, our children and school staff will remain safe and Covid free.
Loving this project! So much! This project inspired me to make a fabric lace journal for myself. Fabric pages. Sentimental fabrics.... clothing that is Sentimental from when my daughter was little, pieces from my grandfather's shirts, a piece from my cousin that passed. I absolutely love it coming together. It is def taking some time but worth it. Thank you for all of your beautiful inspiration. I truly appreciate all the time and effort you put into creating content. I'm planning to video my fabric and lace journal when I finish it. Big hugs! Stay healthy
I'm in love with all the lace's, I scored a bag a cut up vintage doilies. They are pieces and parts but really nice, I"m going to soak them in Oxyclean then wash them. Thanks for the video, take care!

Beautiful 😍 enjoying so much TFS. Hope there is no lock down for you all. In Queensland Australia and hanging in there 🙏. We are know mandatory face masks at work, horrible things😷
My mom let me take my daddy’s scrapbook and photo album. It covers 1930-1950. I copied as many items as I could. Many of the photos were glued to the page with photo corners. I’m making a journal of his life. He passed away in 2002.
So beautiful. Can I ask about the little box with the bits inside. Is it a chocolate box. It’s so perfect for the little pieces. Have a wonderful break xx
I’m curious to ask your opinion on how you can tell if it’s an antique original or a reproduction that is vintage or old looking? photographs are easy to tell but what about ephemera??
Good question. You will notice on back of these that some cards have original prints about their products or the age of patina on them. Sometimes I see the reproductions are kinda tricky...that it looks too fresh or too new - for not showing their original ages of long ago. It takes the trained eyes and the feel.
I think just seeing so many old papers you just start to see how they should be and also feel. They have a certain look about them that i think is hard to imitate exactly.

Thank you for clarifying
Such pretty things. Makes me want to hunt for Victorian. Of course I’ll start at Etsy Now which shop? 😉.
