It is an appealing laptop. The long battery life is impressive. As usual the review is excellent,
I would love for HP to offer Ryzen chips as options. Ryzen's greater power efficiency would really accentuate this laptop's strong battery life.
LOL... You clowns still jerking it to AMD.
HP does have some Probooks/Elitebooks with Ryzen PRO CPU and we have some Zbooks as well now with AMD Ryzen PRO
dragonfly pro
For my workplace, the need for thunderbolt makes AMD an unviable option. A lot of people forget that AMD computers haven't got thunderbolt support.
I consider myself educated, thank you sir.@@GoonerTechie
8:13 The tweeters are not housed near the woofers. They are housed right next to the heat sink. You can see red and black wires for the right tweeter (on the left side in the video, because the laptop is upside-down) and green and white wires for the left tweeter.
saludos desde el Ecuador - Quito. Siempre haces muye buenos reviews
just bought a g4. top end spec. Battery is nowhere near as claimed, approx 4 hrs in reality on energy saving mode.. The non oled version touch screen is really subject to flaring from light sources .behind you. On your lap the screen corners are sharp and dig in making it uncomfortable without a tray on your lap. Would I but again - probably not but better than dell.
I have dragonfly g2 that is convert able and comes with pen I've had it about 2 months I'm happy with it.
The G2 dragonfly is my favorite of any HP laptop series I've used, including Elite and Pro and studio type laptops. I just got my G4 for work testing today. However Lenovo's yoga is a bit better... Heavier but more ports and included pen in the body.
HP is known for loud fan noise and overheating. Curious why you didn't test that? I am actually looking at other manufacturers strickly because of that reason
Using it for a month, havent hear fan noise, and always cool to touch
@@piemaanfazily you have the dragonfly G4 or another ultrabook from HP? Do you have it plugged in to charging all the time?
@@piemaanfazily Hi, how has your experience continued to be in regards to fan noise and heat? Thanks!
Glossy or antiglare option with touchscreen ??????? any recommendations?
Great review Lisa. Thank you very much.
Thank you Lisa, it was a very useful review.
I like this laptop. It's great for those that have a high spec desktop computer at home and want something super light on the go.
Its only competitors are the M2 MacBook Air 13.5-inch and the Microsoft Surface Pro 9/10. The Surface Pro has the better display and refresh rate, but this has the audio jack and better battery life advantage. However, the M2 MacBook Air has the best battery life.
I wish HP would have paired these with the new AMD 7940HS chip. I have an Asus Flow X13 and that thing undervolts like a champ, but I really dislike my laptop's\ASUS' QC, especially when considering how much I paid for the 32gb version..
At 1kg, this could have been amazing, my laptop is 1.3kg and I'm absolutely loving the small form factor.
LOL... You clowns still jerking it to AMD.
Business laptops need thunderbolt 4, this is why you won't see AMD in them.
I wonder how would this perform running Linux Mint. Good review though and thank you. About the three webcam support, I realized that each person has a different look from each side - full front, left, right so some organizations might require you to show each of your side for advanced security reasons.
Love it. We will replace our Elitebooks 840 with this at my company.
Great laptop but has poor quality control. Had to return 2 separate devices for HDMI port issues and stuck pixels before getting one that works. Be careful and test it well if you buy!
If only it could be purchased with a non glossy display.
The removal of the right Ctrl key deserves a mention. I wouldn't buy a laptop with a keyboard like that.
Honestly. It's ridiculous
Review the Framework! 🙏
That shirt is savage, knowing the origins of 'Darth Vader'.
thanks for review mrs
Great review!
I wonder if these will be refreshed with the Meteor Lake silicon? 🤔
I saw this same question posed on Reddit, and have not seen an answer: Does the G4 come pre-wired with a WWAN antenna installed, even if no WWAN was ordered? This would appear to allow an owner to add a WWAN card later, if a WWAN antenna is already in place.
i am trying to decide between this and the hp 360 elitebook , which is more pricey, how does this compare?
Expansion slots =>1 nano SIM can't get the sim card slot
So I'm looking for a decent laptop to use w photo shop. I'm not a professional photographer... don't really want to spend 2000 for a laptop...I have a good desktop as well but would like to be able to do some photoshop away from home or while my hubby is on the desktop... its nicely priced at Costco... just want to make sure it can handle it. So many other laptops in seeing are bigger.. heavy... and complaints or getting hot and bad battery.
Good option w the G4?
I am actually looking for a laptop to buy right now
The Envy line is also really good and they tend to be more competitively priced.
They sell them in stores, and online.
@@sillystuff6247I have 2 premium line hp work station never had issues with mine. Maybe user error
So which one is more reliable
Hi. Are you sure about the weight because i got one and it was heavier (1.2kg).
Is I order the touch screen version, is it digital pen compatible?
good choice... liked! now bargain for well under $1000 32g/1tb/ipc
the intel documentation makes no reference to 5G - even though HP will tell you it does 5G it doesn't.
Thanks for the review. Ma’am.. how is laptop for programming?
does it support pen input?
Dragonflys have six legs but no #ARM v9

1920x1280 px display? Why so 10 years old specs? I would never buy such as low-resolution laptop. Once you go hi-res you cannot go back.
Business ultrabooks dont need more than that. Its mostly documents, web browsing, and business calls
@@TNFF333 Exactly! Try watching a shared screen with text from a high-resolution desktop or even a lower-spec QHD monitor or... your client's MacBook! In such situations, you might find yourself stressed as you need to frequently use zoom and scroll extensively to read illegible text while keeping up with the conversation during the call. Yep, 'HP business notebook' that makes you look slow and outdated. Very good for business.
Ordinary non-business Mac users must be blissfully unaware of the struggles we endure in the HP Business world.
Just imagine the joy of shouting excuses at your screen, desperately trying to convince the other party to backtrack because your oh-so-special HP "business notebook" designed for 2023 apparently operates on a 2010 specs sheet. Classic!
Perhaps consider an _upgrade_ to the HP Pavilion Aero with thin bezels and 2560 x 1600 high quality display rocking AMD Ryzen 7 5800U with 8 CPU cores, because heaven knows it can do a much better job for your business needs. Or... make the leap to Mac. You know, for seamless document handling, smooth web browsing, and those beautifully crisp business calls. Because let's face it, your business matters to you, unlike HP business, which seems to have other priorities.
Lots of business apps don't deal very well with scaling.
@@scottsanettPoor excuse. One can easily set UI scaling on a high-resolution monitor. You don't need to have a low number of pixels to simulate a low number of pixels. It's 2023, and all operating systems have that feature.
I am strongly against this being "intel" based, like why not AMD, all of them are intel based
As with most HP thin and light ones, most likely overheats
Beats me why people (manufacturers and reviewers alike) still associate 4G/5G with “Business”. I have a personal laptop/tablet convertible with 4G and I can't imagine my life without it anymore. So long “ah what's the wi-fi password in this place? Why can't I access the captive portal with updated security settings? Wait, I need to enable tethering on my phone because we're in the park” nonsense.
I use a MacBook and an iPhone with an instant connection, so I do not need to pay £25 monthly for a 5G SIM card. Over two years that saves me £500 that I can invest in a better spec Mac!
Just marketing spiel to make them feel important
@@andyH_Englandyeah anyone can do that it's nothing to do with the make of a device, all network providers have pay as you go data only 4g/5g or just tether from your mobile data plan
The Only laptop I'll buy is from Asus
I feel that 3:2 is just a little too tall. You start to lose side by side multitasking capability and nobody I know "stacks" apps top and bottom. 3:2 is a little too tall the same way 16:9 is a little too wide. But it's great for keyboard and trackpad size.
It's perfect for office work.
