Did you realize that Kevin was still beatboxing while whispering? When they perform it live, the final "s" of "less" doesn't come through, but the beatboxing does. I don't know how that's physically possible but Kevin can do almost anything.
I think that they make choices of who leads while taking in account of the background blend... Mitch and Scott blending has a different feel than She and Mitch's blend... THAT is what I think makes Pentatonix so amazing... they don't just "do a song" - they research it, take it apart and run it through their PTX filter, work out each part and every little detail, and release the most effective performance. I am no music major - the only thing I know how to play is a CD player and can't carry a tune ... But by watching them I can actually understand more about music and how it works.
Very true. They know each other's voices inside and out. Rather than being selfish about wanting to do all the leads, they all pick whose voice best fits the lead of each song, and because they each have such a wide vocal range, everyone else seamlessly fills in the gap the lead vocalist leaves. Their arrangements and chord choices are so smart and clever that their voices fill in every single nook and cranny so you never feel like a single part is missing. It's incredible. I've been following them since they were on The Sing-Off back in 2011, and they STILL amaze and wow me. Can't say that about many singers and bands these days.
Avi's bass in Problem is too strong for the ovaries! 🤣😅 For real, though, it's mindblowing in this! I have the "Listen to me" bit as my notifications on my phone. Needless to say, I rarely ignore my phone now and pretty much every time I hear Avi, I instinctively respond "All day, every day!" 😂
You nailed it with the Mitch prediction. The original was OK but PTX just knocks it out of the park! Kevin's beats are stellar, Mitch's rap was really outstanding. And everyone else just Did It! Way better than the original in my opinion. Thanks for another great comparison video.
She really is a good singer, I just don't generally like the style of music she's doing. Also I think the flexible guy was in the "Can't Sleep Love" video by PTX.

So many of the evolutions like Rihanna and Ariana, I had never heard the original or just heard a bit of it so I am going to love watching these you’ve done. Pretty sure I will like PTX best in all of them but I’m sure that’s not a problem :)
The flexible guy you’re thinking of could’ve been in Superfruit’s Bad 4 Us video or PTX’s Cant Sleep Love video. Not sure if it’s the same guy though. And Pentatonix's version is so much better, with the harmonies and the superb vocal effects. Ms. Grande is cute and the tune is catchy, but she sounds rather tinny and vocally strained. PTX by a mile!

I absolutely prefer PTX's version, they sound so much better, and Scott's high notes in this never fails to impress me!
