As a Pagan for the last 40 years, I have always adored Faun and use their music regularly in my spiritual practise.
Back in the 90's I was hoping to attend Burning Man but when 3 fellow Pagans, I knew from a local Festival, were shot at a bustop on route in the States, my interest waned.
I no longer attend Festivals as they seem to have become more about irresponsible sexual activity and McWiccan philosophies than the pursuit of knowledge, development of skills, and spiritual connection.
I do miss the Festivals of the 80's and 90's. No belief wars, theft or psychos. I always came home spiritually charged.
Great reaction to one of my favorite bands. I believe Faun attended a Festival in Oregon in 2016??🤔🤔 where they met up with drummers from British Colunbia. I would have loved to have attended that Festival on that year. It did not appear as if they were strongly welcomed but I can understand that many in the USA would not have known who they were dealing with.
    🥰🥰Blessed Be from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

From the first moment I heard them, they grabbed me. The message, the vibe, the sincerity... What was not to love?

Well thought out and stated reaction my friend!! Their music for me transcends language and simply lives in the emotions it brings forth. And how can you not love the hurdy gurdy!!!

I agree completely. It's funny, the first time I ever heard the hurdy-gurdy was in the Mummers Dance.

As always, a very thoughtful reaction. As a Pagan, I have no problems with Faun. In fact, I REALLY want to see them in concert one day. As a sidenote, it just so happens that Heilung will be in performing Stuttgart , Germany in September....when i'll actually be traveling in Germany during that same time frame. Oh HELL YEAH I GOT TICKETS! LOL.

Enjoyable listening with lots of complex voice layers and harmonies. I am enjoying similar bands and styles lately, Wardruna, Heilung, begining to explore Faun, Eivor, Gåte.
Forgive my ignorance regarding Burning Man though I had of course heard of it and had a rough Idea of the ethos behind it. I'm slightly confused to read since 2019 Google is majority shareholder of BMP. In my mind the two don't socially align.

I have not attended in 2 decades. I guess I am talking about what it used to be. Even if they don't run it, them owning a 51% share goes directly against the original ethos. Back in the day burners would cover up any kind of corporate logo on anything they were using. I guess it's just another sign of the times. I wouldn't go now if someone paid me. It seems to have turned from a gathering of crazies and artists in the desert into a corporate vacation spot. So sad.

It's actually a hurdy-gurdy, which is what they call a hurdy-gurdy. It was used in Germany and Europe long before America was discovered, so it should be pronounced that way.
I don't like it that everything is so disfigured.
It's bad how you deface your family names but that's another story and it's thanks to the english people.

Did I not pronounce it hurdy-gurdy? Regarding names - mine is Polish properly spelled with all consonants where they're supposed to be. ;-)
