imagine galactic contention as a standalone game man. its what battlefront should've been :'(
I wish there was a way to get them to be able to make the whole game from scratch, rather than make it on the backbone of squad. Maybe petition Disney?

To this day, I will never understand why big studios with big budgets don't make the games that modders do with limited resources. PlanetSide 2 is probably the closest anyone has come.
Wow the LAAT’s fly way better here than in the official game, they somehow managed to get them to have that weightless feel that star wars vehicles all have, and the sounds are spot on

Love these videos! Been wanting to get into flying for galactic contention. Can you practice solo/offline with the LAAT or other gc aircraft?
Yep! Just join Jensens training grounds at the Squad menu, then open up your console and type AdminChangeLayer GC_Tatooine_Training and it should load a map with a bunch of vehicles for you to test out. Just make sure you're the correct role to operate the vehicles!

How do you get to be a pilot? Do you train when you go into one of the Galactic contention servers or did you train before? I wanted to be one and I just want to understand how did u get to be one ;)
Train in the pilot course in default squad using the helis
Arc moves so slowly. Amazing gameplay though.😊
May i ask? I can see, that LAAT and HMP flying like helicopters - i think devs are using helicopter model from original game. But also i saw video with ARC-170 - it is flying the same way, like helicopter - pretty slow and noce-angled to ground, while vector of flying is horizontal. I want to ask - what model using ARC-170 - helicopter or normal airplane? Thanks :)

Squad only has helicopters, so all air vehicles are based around those movements. However, the newest versions of the ARC-170 and Droid Tri Fighter have really good flight controls, similar to that of a Harrier Jet (a hover function, but also a high thrust function). I dont believe these versions are in yet, but hopefully will be soon

Is the co-pilot/gunner seat playable?
Co pilot seat doesnt have a function other than being a spotter, but the ball turrets at either side can be manned
When did they add the laser beam to the ball turrets!?
It's only in some of the dev layers I believe. It should release with the vehicle overhaul update which I think may be the next big update they do. Also will allow LAATs to close their bay doors

Dont have a timeframe, but the devs have a lot of errors to fix before its playable. But the good news is they have them identified so hopefully soon!
How do you get the map in the bottom right of the cockpit?
As far as I know the Mod just has that in the cockpits

I know this is on PC so console is limited to its capabilities...but if they could have given 1/4 of this in the EA battlefront series it would have been a success. I mean they literally could have just did a redux of the PS2 version and made just as much money
