Lets not forget Roscoe Beck on the bass :)
lets not forget the drummer also.
Thanx for that kudo...
Bass players almost always get forgotten!!
Roscoe really pumps n drives the band on the bass!
OMG Eric is turning 69 in august 2023 and still rocking
2 of the humblest, coolest and talented cats on the planet - and then of course, we can't forget the GOAT, Roscoe!
Kudos to the incredible Bass Player and Drummer!!! Would have liked longer solos from those Cats. Incredible scorching guitar duel. Really liked Timmons’ Tone. All players are from another planet
They are both my teachers. They completely changed my concept of playing the guitar about 20 years ago.
These 2 guitarist’s always reminded me of each other. Andy has such an ear for tone, and his phrasing is on another level. Eric has his own style that is only his. Both are amazing. More of a Timmons fan, but so nice to see them both together on stage.
Props to EJ' S 2 nd guitar player, Dave Scher...
Pretty damn good player in his own right -- keyboards too...
Met him at a gig 2 days before vivid shutdown... Could only talk about how Beck impressed me idiot me... Never told Dave how good he was...
Seeing them again in 10 days... I hope to meet Dave again and rectify my mistake!
They should release an album. Total win.
My two favorite players right now both classic acts in everyway
Andy Timmons is a Beast !!!
There both all about tone for sure
Eric's tone is amazing. Both players are amazing.
andy is a best❗
The band is driving it home too...props to all the players...
This is a cool combo a awesome guitarist and musicians Eric and Andy are already in my top 10 the other guy is good also.
Two of the best.
Eric gets older but not slower. He's fucking amazing
...and this jam "almost" never happened. EJ finished his set, he and the band walked off stage....crowd started to dissipate! We were like....whoa, wait, where's Andy?! We all saw him setting up before EJ took the stage....so we knew he was going to sit in at some point. Which, by the way, was a thrill given that, short of brief presentation along side Josh Scott of JHS, he wasn't officially scheduled to play the festival. Anyway, realizing the crowd was starting to leave, EJ and the band practically ran back on stage, bringing Andy with him....and then this happened! YES!
Awesome! thanks for sharing!!!!! Saw Ej in Charlotte with his band and they were great! At is awesome too!
Wow🎸《☆》A Humbucker really cuts thru the mix like nothing else👍🏾🍺🥪Nice Jam Everyone✌😎☮
I usually can’t stand the multiple guitar players thing, but if everyone is amazing, it seems to work.
Im a big fan of darker tones, Eric shurely shows that you can manage with the dark..., great variety for the "usual " tones around!
Fun jam. Imagine if they rehearsed together.
Don't forget about Roscoe! Great to see him back. He had disappeared for a while.
Sick. :)
Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney,TX!
A first class set!
Both Eric and Andy are some amazing guitarists! I would love to play guitar with them on a stage when I grow up 😊
You could sign up and go to Andy Wood Woodshed Fest. this August it is a 4 day private lesson/playing camp done by Andy Wood, both Eric and Andy are going to be at this coming one, along with Greg Koch. And others, supposedly you get to play with them.
Like #553rd and Subscribed... Thanks for your video 👍
That's Roscoe Beck on Bass
Danke!
Good to see and hear they got the technical issues under control....sounds great
Great show at the Paramount ATX !
Andy , Eric if Washington politics played like this, the world would be a better place.
This 1st tune is called Zap. Its an EJ oldie. Go learn it and get back to me. Hurry up, I'll wait here.
Timmons stands out here for his clarity and precision, but the three got nice chops! I would certainly freeze if i were the third guy 🤣.
Battle of fast fingers
Rare occurrence.
AT & EJ amazing x the third guy aint half bad either
Im sorry but you dont need another guitarist present when Eric Johnson is there.
Fender vs ibanez . Nice colaboration.
Who is the guy on the right?😊
Andy timmons must be a fender man
Nope, that's his earlier model Ibanez there!
Someone turn the tone knob back up on Eric’s guitar
Cool video. Just not digging Eric’s overly dark muted tone. I long for his late 80s tones. Dynamic, throaty, and singing.
Can somebody sing a song or something?
as soon as andy plays you can hear the amp settings cut right through.. never understood why ej hates presence and treble
because they make you sound cheap, average, mortal. Like every Joe Schmoe that picks up a guitar at GC. There's NOTHING more boring or "meh" than a humbucker through a high gain amp. Nothing.
EJ doesn’t have much treble on his lead tone but somehow he usually has more presence than in this clip. Maybe he just didn’t record well here.
@@Nitromessiah you really have no idea what you’re talking about
@@jakollee you're probably right.. I noticed his band was having issues with their rigs this day
This tremendously influenced me as guitarist. I adopted the same "treble hating" first cause Clapton, then EJ. And i can understand the reason: too much treble makes the sound so muffled or 'metallic'. But this is a trick that makes sense only if you like that particular Cream sound and it works 100% above all on vintage Marshalls.
a little bit of talent there eh? wow
Who's the third guitarist here? I don't recognise him.
Dave Scher, Austin guitarist well known around here as an absolute beast
Nooooooooooooooo - DON'T turn this into a G3 Wankfest!
Windy tone !
Random beardy on the right has that forum tone.
The Marshall's have better tone and projection to me
The fans can screw up your hearing and cause you to feel out of time.
Dont think they like eachother.
I dunno- I love both guitar players- and that guy (Dave Share?) on the white Strat was terrific with his fuzz tone- but honestly I think both Andy and Eric's tone here was really suffering- they were both "close" to the tone's they're known for- but it's like they both had to play through someone else's gear or something- Eric's tone sounded lie a heavy moving blanket was over his amp and Andy's tone was very ho hum to me for once- plus I think it was a wank fest for sure- sounded like all the jams I go to in town- Eric REALLY overplayed and kept playing the same thing- his runs- over and over. Pretty boring after a while to hear it again and again- but the dude (whoever he is) with the white strat sounded much better musically and tonally to me on this one. Actually gives me hope! Andy and Eric both sounded like guys at a jam instead of their normally polished selves! No offense to either of them- Andy is my favorite guitar player on the planet- Eric is a legend for a good reason- this just wasn't them at their best- and it's kind of refreshing to see that they can have less then perfect performances from time to time! Thanks Guys!
Was there a backline? Eric’s tone is awful as if he didn’t bring his rig 🤔 he usually has ungodly guitar tone live
if you close your eyes, you could just as well be inside an elevator.
Played slower with better note separation for me please. This is reducing guitar playing to a competitive sport event.
Suena mucho mejor andy timons, no me gusta erick Johnson porque su guitarra en ratos suena como violin
Pure slop. If not for Andy this would’ve been disastrous. EJ fusses too much with his tone. He must have OCD.
Eric's tendency to rush ahead of the rhythm is getting worse with age. He's rushing really badly here, but his tone is still awseome.
He's gotten complacent. It happens as we get older I've noticed with myself, and others. Improv is great or it can suck. What are you going to do? These are the moments that musicians enjoy, the audience? It is what it is I guess, I'm grateful for these moments.
EJ smoked AT...
Ironic, as Eric would be the first to say that music isn't, sports and Andy was freekin awesome as well, as always. 🙄
It is an EJ song so…
Love these guys, but this is a mess.
I just watched another video with EJ and Orianthi and that was awful too, and hate to say, Eric blew it. There were tech issues, fair enough, but after that Eric just couldn’t get locked in, was all over the place. It wasn’t very good.
@@smelltheglove2038 Yeah, I saw that. It seems he rips when it's his own gig, but when he jams or fills in, it's never really that good. BUT, I love that dude! LOL
@@bradleyernest6996 did you just cut and paste your own comment from the same thread? Weird…looks you’re the one with one trick.
EJ just plays fast all the time and it's the same runs. Seems like it's lacking feel and soul to me. I get he's wrote some incredible instrumentals but I find it boring.
@@boabglen Agreed- just the same old runs over and over...
So boring in my opinión..🫢
