She's the same concept as Samantha. Samantha was an elegant, educated, outspoken, professional woman who valued her friendships immensely and live with no regrets.

Sex and the City is something that will live well past the people that were involved with it,however it doesn’t define who Kim is. How can you not love Kim Cattrall ... she is fabulous.
I heard this guy’s show isn’t on anymore and that’s a huge shame. One of the only interviewers on TV/RUclips who makes the process about the guest rather than talking all over them. Maybe it’s a product of quite a shallow time where the guests don’t usually have much to say themselves, however when you have these extremely articulate and insightful women on your show you need to let them talk - like this guy.

I like this natural aging look so much better, than the overly botoxed, lip-filled look that many actresses succumb to. She looks so so good, not only for her age, but in general. I never really understood why you would want to put so much botox in your face as an actress in particular, because acting is all about showing emotion through your expressions.

I think it's fine she has retired Samantha. It's time for her to move on into her 60's and discover new roles. I don't think it should stop the series from going on........life goes on without people.

Thank goodness she said no to a third movie of Sex and The City. The first two were abysmal and there is no reason to think the third would be any less disappointing.

The way they treated Samantha in the second film was tragic. Especially that scene where she drops her pills and condoms in and has a meltdown--it was so awful, I felt humiliated watching it. Though I feel Kim Cattrall did the best with the material, the material failed her.

H Dubbs but they should have at least do one last movie to end it on a good note.
IMO, Carrie getting pregnant would reinforce the idea that women should get married and have babies--that wasn't what the show was about. In any case Carrie would be 50, as a long-time smoker she would have likely reached menopause. I think Sam really was meant to be with Smith, but that's over and them changing that now would just be pandering to fans.
I understand your point that soaps do the same thing, but that sort of storytelling doesn't work in a movie format. Moreover, SATC was never a soap. There was drama, but it wasn't full of surprise twists.
Even after a third film there could be a "one more time". They all have more than enough money and the story has been told--just because Samantha isn't married doesn't mean her story arc isn't complete. I feel there's nothing more to tell. Sometimes when things are bad, it's better to just let them go than to hang onto what could be. Kind of like if you love something just let it go.
Have you considered writing a fan fiction? That may be fun for you to do.

I disagree. That scene was so original and creative and to the point. The part where she got humiliated was that disgusting erotic provocation in the restaurant when the sheik saw what they were doing. The sex scene in the car is disgusting and embarrassing too. Just too much explicit mechanical sexual stupidity. What you don't do for money in this freakish money driven world!

She’s a great actor who can play so many diverse roles. If you look at Sarah j Parker she acts the same in all her movies. Same gestures, facial expressions. In my opinion Sarah has always been jealous of Kim, that’s why she wasn’t ever nice to her

I agree with her sentiment 100%. I think that her thought processes makes sense and I applaud her for it. Wish she would have decided not to do the film before actually going way into pre-production. My understanding is that they were days away from starting to shoot.
In several interviews she said she had said a firm "no" from the get-go. I have no reason to disbelive her. However, SJP might have been self-assured enough to start filming hoping things would go her way.
