How is the buddy club shifter holding up? I just bought a type s with a buddy club shifter & it’s broken where it holds the right cable. Don’t know if I should buy a new or go a different brand
RoyTheBoy there made to help prevent pop outs. When you shift gears feels like it clicks in to gear harder. There pretty cheap and not crazy to install.
I did everything exactly how you did it and everything went in right but once I put the clutch line on it’s too compressed already and the gears stay stuck in only 3rd and 4th
I'm thinking of getting Drag spec shifter springs to upgrade my OEM ones but I really don't know if it will be crazy stiff if these that you bought are really stiff (Normal after market Springs like these say 80% stiffer normal and the drag spec say 200% so I really don't know lol) I just don't want any sloppy feeling left
Shifter springs, detent springs, shifter cable bushings and buddy club short shifter is the ultimate experience, I love how stiff it is

My shifter is a beast now. I installed race spec shifter box, ktunded cable bushings, Metech springs and heavy duty detent springs.
Do the detent springs make a big difference?

@@willalexander177 sounds like a good investment maybe ill try it out
thanks for the video.. i think stock springs seem better, i dont want to use muscle when trying to shift all the time
Their is 2 different lengths of bolts holding shift assembly. Remember where the longer ones go
The rsx is back 💯👏
Welllllll this is an old video BUT I have already got it back up and running and ordered a whole new front end (hint hint carbon fiber)
@@RoyTheBoy_yt did you get reverse fix??
I feel like this would be overkill paired with my HR short shifter lol
i agree its already really stiff for the hr shifter and hella sturdy
🤔🤔🤔my shifter has hella play in it, like 1st feels like neutral LOL. Ima try the same setup you have... see if it gets better.
😂😂 It did help
RoyTheBoy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻im gonna get those plus some shifter bushings
Does this work with the base model?
I just threw a hybrid racing shifter in mine... a little pricey but got rid of pretty much all the slop
Yeah that might be my next purchase
Samuel Trudeau even after he installed the cable bushings, there looks to be still a lot of play in gear. Does the hr shifter take the play away?
@@jonj4357 it takes 85% out in my opinon
@@jonj4357 kinda old but if you didnt get one yet recommend the acuity 4 way. little pricier but removes 100% slop
Subpar Monkey it’s crazy, I actually just got the acuity shifter over the holiday. It’s pricey but worth 100%
6 mm blots are like 10 ft lbs max
Why do you take out the 8mm bolt in the front of the transmission what's the purpose ?
You can't take out the shifter unless you remove it

Just subscribed! Any updates on shifting and reverse now? Like how is it?
Still very stiff but good. Reverse got easier.
*_Did you get it to go into reverse?_* 😂😂😂
After 13 days of blood sweat and tears
@@RoyTheBoy_yt *_Lol. I appreciate you being transparent in the video_* 👍
