Chanyeol sounds pretty good in the lower range and Kai's voice has a nice innocent quality. There's no reason it couldn't be distributed like this in exo k.

I don't know where you read that, but neither SM or Kris have said anything officially since they admitted that the lawsuit was filed. There are A LOT of rumors flying around and he hasn't been performing with them, but nothing is official yet. Unfortunately for my fangirl heart, he'll probably leave but like I said it hasn't been settled yet.

He got more in Love Love Love. But what sucks is unlike Tao, Kris does not sing in almost the entire EXO-M discography. That's one of the reasons he left since since then he mostly sings and acts in movies.

I think it's really sad when people are comparing EXO-K and EXO-M. Of course they are performing the songs in different ways, which is really cool, but there's no point in arguing about which one did a better job... I listen to both because I'm an international fan so I don't mind what language is in and my two biases are Chen and Chanyeol so I'm screwed :D but yeah so I don't understand why people need to argue about which one is best... everyone can have their preferences, but overall it is an EXO song and as long as you like it you shouldn't go around criticising :)

I have a pretty extensive knowledge of music because I make music of my own, and I listen to a heck load of stuff from anywhere or anytime for inspiration, therefore I definitely know whether the voice is altered artificially or not. Autotune is not always obvious, but when you listen to lots of stuff outside of pop music and then come back to pop, you hear the "robotic quality" of the voice much better. A big portion of pop music is autotuned more or less, and that includes kpop, which is a shame, because it makes a talented singer's voice much less authentic. And "raw talent"? SM has more than a tendency to scout teenagers on the streets solely based on appearance, and whether they are talented or not, they get trained with extreme intensity, getting only a couple of hours to sleep. Some become trainees after passing auditions, and some of these people definitely have talent; some others are less talented and pass the auditions because of their appearance. You have to remember that music labels like SM or YG work like business corporations and lots of people work together to control and manufacture a complete and perfect image, that includes, the hair, the nails, the makeup, the concept, the music production, the lyrics, the diets. Idols are just performers, they are just the canvas for the image. A lot of idols can be very talented at what they do, but they don't have power over the final product because they're employees, and therefore, they can't escape autotune if the producers or the label wants it, because they have a higher position in the company. Sorry for the extra-long post! I'm just kinda fascinated by kpop and I love Exo and music in general even more no matter how unpretty some things in the kpop music industry can be. It's kinda like loving a country with all its beauties and flaws ;) I also study economics, which explains my fascination for kpop as well.

I love EXO-M. I love Luhan's voice in general. In this song, it sounds as if he is trying to sound a little jazzy at the beginning, or is it just me? It is hard for me to read this, knowing who is singing which parts, because most of the lyrics remind me of Kris and Luhan. I really miss two of my top biases, and babies.:(

I love EXO-M. I love Luhan's voice in general. In this song, it sounds as if he is trying to sound a little jazzy at the beginning, or is it just me? It is hard for me to read this, knowing who is singing which parts, because most of the lyrics remind me of Kris and Luhan. I really miss two of my top biases, and babies.:(
