@@jameshunt1461 it may not have been that long but everything the fan base has gone through with trading DeAndre Hopkins, Bill O’Brien tearing apart the team and giving lucrative contracts to put them in cap hell, the Watson situation, David Culley, Lovie Smith, Brandin Cooks whining last year, etc. it makes it feel like a long time because of how this franchise has beaten us down and left us with no hope for years

Thank God I didn't get rid of my season tickets. Last season I seriously thought about it because I couldn't sell all of them in '22.

All I ask is please give this guy some time! This isn’t gonna happen overnight! But this is the right man for the job! Demeco is a leader and everyone loves to play for him! Give him 2 to 3 years to build this defense back up to a top 5 to 10 defense level and let him learn! Don’t panic if it’s not all sunshine in year one! It will take a little time!
@@codylambeth4051 you fell for the notion that the texans fire coaches after one season because they we’re losing & “set up to fail” or they don’t give them time when that’s not true. those 2 coaches were placeholders, aka they weren’t hired for the long haul. they were both in their 60s & they were both bad coaches. why would the texans hire an old coach for a long term rebuild? they were going to get fired regardless, it wasn’t because of losing.
@@judoka. you donkey I didn’t think Lovie or Culley were anything neither of them deserved to be a head coach! Lovie is stuck in the early 2000s running a scheme that doesn’t work. Culley was a joke in total
I love the hire! Former Texans player, proven to be a good leader, 6 year contract to give him time to build a culture. I’m so glad to see DeMeco back in H Town. I’m also glad we didn’t pull a Panthers and pass on him for a less competent white man to be the coach. We have cap space and draft capital, 5 picks in the first 3 rounds! I hope we go hard this off-season with some big free agent signings and good draft picks to help DeMeco start building this team to be a real contender again!
