Greatest metal band in the past 20 years. I actually gave up and left my projects after I started listening to these guys after a few years. Simply because I knew that I had nothing to offer that could come close. They were already doing what I was trying to do. I knew there was no way in hell that I could make anything out of it nearly as good. If the entire world can't get on the same page about how amazing the writing is in this band is, then humanity has no hope I got my piece of history from OJ. He sold me his Elvevn Rack from a couple albums he used it on. Fuckers is a piece of history in my eyes. So it sits in a bigass shadow box hanging on my wall.
I've been listening to these guys for years and cannot imagine why they are not playing arenas by now, unless it is by choice. They all seem very real and down to earth people so perhaps they choose to blow the minds of people in smaller venues instead of dealing with all the plasticity and stress of large arena touring and publicity. Who knows. I thank God for this band as their music helped me deal with the passing of my father in 2008 (the Oblivion Beckons record in particular). Absolutely amazing songwriters and players and this video displays them in all their badass glory!
There aren't enough words to express how much I love this band. These guys do it for the right reasons, they deserve so much more in terms of exposure and tours. I will say it for all: NO ONE BEATS THE BYZ! I have the T shirt (and several others) to prove it! Haha. Some of the best musicians and down to earth guys you could meet. Completely agree bro, I discovered Byzantine about 2 months ago and I'm still soo addicted that I'm listening to 3 or 4 albums every day!! I'm working on getting Byzantine more exposure on reaction channels, I've already gotten 2 channels to check them out and another one will drop in a couple of weeks when it's my turn on the roster. I'm a new fan but I'm a huge freaking fan, Byzantine is one of the best bands I've ever heard in my entire life!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

I remember back when these guys were first beginning and I saw them play at a Tool cd release party at a National Record Mart. They didn't even have a drummer at that time and were using a drum machine. I knew they would be huge and I was right. They've only gotten better with time.
First concert I ever went to was one of theirs, was in a cramped hallway in an old industrial building. Got to meet the lead singer himself, he installed the kitchen floor in my parents house and signed my demo cd I got from a friend who stole it. At this point I thought they'd be way bigger than they are

This is what its all about. A True live performance, when you can hear every detail, string sliding, tuning guitar live and just proper rough, then you know there is nothing to hide. The Amazing performance by OJ vocals and other band members made this live concert amazing experience. A lot of bands can learn from This, his is what we want a true experience! I loved every hiccup and every second of it, and I am Surprised that they played that many Fundamental Component album songs. Cant wait for more!

Amazing performance! This is another proof how underrated band sound much better than mainstream bands. OJ love you can sing high, mid and even growl. Also great bass lines. Byzantine your music is a journey. Please pull strenght together so you can come to Europe. :)
one of my favorite bands, one of the best comebacks ever, and one of the most consistently quality producing bands there is in metal right now. Byzantine has been more of deserving of their flowers.
I bought 2 tickets and right before concert I tested positive for covid. Literally the only time I've been even mildly sick in the last 5 years. They are my #1 favorite band. I'm still so annoyed

Bit of a different genre (Avantgarde Metal), but I recall DogFashion Disco/Polkadot Cadaver pulling together a Kickstarter campaign for an album where performing in London was a stretch goal and it all ended up happening. Maybe something along those lines? What are the economics of it, and how could fans help? Personally I'm pretty well off these days, I just have no clue how any of this works (touring), but would be happy to contribute quite heavily if need be.

Wow, these guys never let me down. Ever since I was exposed to Hatfield through a recommendation on the Machine Head forum nearly 20 years ago I've been a huge fan. I'm gutted I didn't get to see the Byz on their rare forays to the UK, but videos like this help ease that. Thank you and long may you continue! OJ is a riff master among the elite in my eyes and keeps getting better.
