Your Mystique experience has pretty much been my entire experience splitting cards, which is why I had just stopped splitting them and have been getting all my cards to Ultra so that they all share that same border. But now I don’t really have to do that, so I might start splitting again.
you do know that you can only get ink after thee fourth split gold after the fifth and crackel after the sixth? you sometimes have to split a card 8 times just to get something

This was a lot of fun to watch! I could tell by how excited you were about getting Kirby on foils that you did this video before realizing we can’t put that Kirby on our inked or gold splits via custom. That was an unfortunate revelation, but hopefully they will reconsider that in the future 👍🏼

This is such a positive video for the game and the community - I love the excitement - I have far less splits for these but I love that my blueprints cerebro can have basic border with frame break and animations and now looks so good!
That moon knight one was utter perfection. This video had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. I know all to well the pain of splitting cards. I have 8 Electra splits and not a single gold or ink.

My favorite split I got so far is inked America Chavez with White Krackle. It looks so good. I wish the finishes were interchangeable with the splits and not locked to the specific split. I feel it makes the foil splits with Krackle still seem worthless.

39:28 Be honest, you also thought they were going to let you mix all of your unlocked backgrounds with all of your unlocked secondary effects. I still like the new feature but not being able to mix all backgrounds and secondary effects was a bit disappointing. Also great video as always! Been watching since launch.

I only have a couple god splits: Gold tone Kim Jacinto Brood with gold Kirby Krackle, and inked Luke Cage bullet variant with black Kirby Krackle. I love them so much. Great video, Alex!
I’m a bit confused on how custom borders work it’s to my understanding, if I get a crackle effect on a prism finish, I cannot transfer that crackle affect to a previously owned ink finish.
23:15 I was hoping for the same thing as Alex did at that point lol.. That if you get an ink in 1 split and a crackle in another that you'd be able to combine them with the new feature.. but the new feature just allows for the border to be downgraded/upgraded, no intermixing of finishes or particles to create a split you don't have :c But better than nothing I guess The video was amazing, kudos to you for holding out for so long!
I just started playing because my son asked me to try it out. Now Im hooked 😂. Im not even a huge comic book fan besides The Walking Dead and Invincible. This was an awesome video, I definitely dont have the willpower to hold off as long as you did!

I am so happy with the custom borders. I can finally upgrade everything to infinite without worry. I had so many Ultra variants that I knew wouldn't look good with an Infinite border lol. I can see there being possibilities for more customization options too. Maybe more mix and matching with effects and stuff. But for now, it has made most of my variants look so much better.

I feel like their custom card option is a little half baked currently since you can't mix and match the flairs between the different finishes you've unlocked for specific variants. Getting a kirby krackle on a foil or prism still feels just as bad since they are stuck there

One thing i really wish 2nd dinner would let us do to customize our cards even more is the ability to use effects unlocked for cards on different variants of the same character cards. Really sucks that I can't use a kirby krackle on my preferred Shang Chi variant if said Krackle was unlocked with a different one... This system seems a bit pointless if I can't actually customize my preferred card... I personally care more about the effects than the borders.

I love your content and this video is an amazing idea. It does highlight how cheap the game is in terms of cool cosmetics. It was very sad to see you get disappointed over and over again. Splitting cards in this game is generally an exercise in frustration.
