'Can I just say' (to quote Maaarrrkk) that it was lovely to see you all sitting round the pool talking as a family. That is why holidays are so worthwhile.
Personally as a girl, gaming has been a great way for me to deal with stress and anxiety. It acts as a distraction, especially as a student nurse when a lot of my time is made up of dealing with the realities of life. I understand that gaming can become an addiction, but so can everything. It's not all about the object, it has a lot to do with the reason behind it. I believe that gaming has a bad reputation and not enough is said about how it can improve and enhance your life. I have dyslexia and gaming has really helped me because it has improved my reading and my coordinations (before gaming i couldn't even distinguish between my lefts and rights) Gaming, in the right amount can also improve your memory and creativity but like anything, too much of it is bad for you. I just wish people didn't judge it so negatively in the media because by doing so it causes people like me to then be judged as maybe not very intelligent or as someone who doesn't interact with the world, which isn't true. Anyway love the vlogs and I never comment but I felt quite passionate about this🙂
lily love - very true - I always loved gaming before my boy was born and my husband still plays. It’s funny as now I put hours into piano and viola but if those hours were transferred to gaming society would judge differently. Both are just a hobby/interest after all yet gaming gets a bad rap. Give me a game over random phone browsing any day! On that note I better put my phone down 😂
I’m 23 and about to go on holiday with my parents in 2 weeks time! I don’t live with my parents as I’ve relocated for my career which makes family holidays more special to spend time with my parents who I don’t see often, absolutely love the fun and laughs we have together 🥰🥰🥰
My son went thru a truly bad time at school because of bullying and allowing him to play games on the computer really helped him a lot with his anxiety, he has made some lovely friends online and one is coming from the states to stay with us this summer. He is at college now and has friends outside of gaming too I'm glad to say. Really lovely family photo at the end, glad you all had such a wonderful time. x
Kiki and maddy are very grown up for their age I think sometimes they forget they’re still your babies especially Kiki I was still playing at the park and in the house for 8 at kikis age lol x
I am glad I found your channel from the reaction videos. I was born and raised in LA and my family dynamics couldn't be more different. I'm not sure it's possible to convey how blessed and fortunate I see your family. Thank for sharing your story with us.
My two girls didn’t want to come on holiday with us at about 17 for a couple of years, but now at 22 & 25 they are desperate for a family holiday. We always pay, because we like treating them. They pay for the odd meal tho! Xx
I just said that in a comment also, somewhere between 16-18 most kids are mature enough to be alone for a week, However later in Life they will most likely regret not coming along:)
I think most teenagers want to go on holiday with their friends and as parents we know when they are responsible enough to do it. Occasionally my son would bring a friend along on our family holiday but he also had separate weeks away with his mates which worked very well. Like Mark we were always happy to pay for his family holiday and he would save for the time away with friends which taught him to budget. Fast forward to today and roles have reversed. My son now lives on the Gold Coast, Australia and his Christmas gift to me each year is the flight and 10 weeks from November to January which I spend with him over Christmas and new year. Of course I miss him but we make amazing memories and spend quality time together while I’m there. I’m already counting down the weeks until my next flight. Lol. Bet your daughters will want to spend holidays with you for many years to come. 💕
My 21 year old daughter still wants to come with us on holiday my youngest is 14 and said she would still come to when she older to which I always pay for them just different now my husband is no longer with us X but I have got a fantastic relationship with my girls they think iam so funny embarrassing to loud but they love it we really have lots of fun and laughter XXX glad you had such a lovely holiday you look all so well and happy and relaxed together live for the moment xxxx love to you all xxxxx
Beautiful family photos which show just what a wonderful holiday you all enjoyed ,and what a close loving group you are.Loved the girls jumping in the pool and hi-five ing one another.As for when teens should stop family holidays I think it depends on the child ,and the family.So long as you`re all still having fun together ,it doesn`t matter what age they are.Mark ,I remember Spain being very clean ,the roads wonderful (hardly saw another car ,and we travelled miles).I think it`s because it`s new aswell ,their supermarkets look better than ours.We`re used to the same old outlays of everything.Oh ,and whilst I still think Great Britain is the best country in the world ,we can`t seem to grow decent tomatoes` anymore.Mine used to eat them like sweets as children ,now they are tough and watery.Guess it`s due to a lot of "fresh" goods being forced.Nadia ,the colourful top you wore for dinner was beautiful.Colours really look great on you.Again ,please thank Mark for his efforts on our behalfs ,so we were able to enjoy your amazing Spanish trip too:)xx
I sure hope the girls don’t stop wanting to go on holiday with you guys! You’re too much fun! I’ve been so addicted to games … it all started with Pong hooked up to an old black & white TV in my basement in the 70s! Haha! I have to say though, right up to the end of her life at 81, my mom was the worst game addict... she would play online poker & slot machines (only fake money) until 3 or 4 a.m.!!! Hope Teddy steered clear of the Easy Jet ham sandwiches! Awww, those pics at the end were the best. Thanks so much for sharing your holiday with all of us! xx

My eldest son 19 vowed last year was his last family holiday with us and his younger brother 14. After a year of being away at Uni decided he will do a holiday with friends ( he pays for) but changed his mind and still wants to come with us aswell. I suspect he realises after living away from home and budgeting silly to pass up a free holiday in a beautiful villa in the south of france!!
Family holidays are so special . We go away in August we have done this for 6 years now all 30 of us from one family , Eldest 76 right down to 4 years old . We all live close but all busy with our day to day life so a week together is great . What lovely photos at the end special memories xx

My husband and I are both 28 and have always been really into gaming. It is very easy to be addicted but less so as you get older. Obsession is more of a teen thing I think, and when I was younger I would become consumed by things that I can take or leave now - both games and plenty of other things too. To me it does feel similar to getting sucked into a really good book. Re holidays, I haven't been away with my parents since I was 17, I just wanted to go on girls holidays as soon as I was old enough. Also my mum won't fly and I wanted to see more of the world.
Anastasia Alexander - yes it is like going into a story book. Asassins creed have taken the trouble to be historically accurate in their graphics and certain storylines in their recent games. Like reading historical fiction

So sad the holiday is over 😢 took me back to when my girls were younger and we all used to go with my mom and family. One of our girls is now living in NZ and the other all grown up. Last holiday all together was about ten years ago, albeit our daughter here occasionally still comes with us and of course we pay lol, with my bro living in OZ and mom too unwell to come, it’s amazing how quickly things change. So a big thank you for reminding me how good our family hols were and have loved watching your beautiful family too 👍💕

When I went with my mum and dad as a teen I used to do my own thing while they took my brothers who was younger to do whatever they wanted to do...I made friends easy back then..I have enjoyed every second of all your vlogs in spain..That was definately a lovely villa...
Holidays - yes, it should be non-optional filial duty! Even during the ages where the children feel awkward. They may not know it but it is such a valuable undistracted time for families. A time of adjustment and growth as parents/grandparents can re-connect and see more clearly who their children are becoming rather that who they were. Parents should pay until the children are adults and continue any time it would be a financial hardship for the son or daughter. One life. No rehearsal
I was 14 when I stopped going on holiday with my family. Now I'm 27 with 2 kids, my mam always comes on holiday with us it's really nice for my boys to have their Nanny there 🖤🖤
Gaming - Chill! In the 80’s I was a girl gamer of epic proportions. In the days of the early computer (pre-Atari /Amiga) it was new and not frowned on ‘oh look she can work a computer’. It was encouraged 😂. It’s relaxing and todays social gaming is collaborative and interesting. It has a much more linear / purposeful feel than browsing RUclips / Safari. I love hopping on Minecraft with my son, I feel refreshed after. Not drained. I would say gaming is a positive force compared to Facebook/insta/twitter/browsing and it feels like you are going from A to B not just white noise and fomo Yes we need to teach our kids (boys?) to switch off when entertaining. But whatever the draw, I’m sure we all could get sucked into our phones for one reason or another when socializing. It’s a matter of manners. Like switching off the TV in the 80s! I’ll take gaming over social media any day
I’m a 23yo mother of two and gaming is something I’ve always been into. Its a hobby and in a similar way that some mums sit down with a glass of wine and tv at the end of the day, I sit down on my Xbox. It also helps having a bit of adult conversation at the end of a long day. I see many positives of it as a hobby and it gets such a bad rep, It is easy to get sucked into it though. There are many more girls/women gaming these days. Funnily enough all the women that I’ve met online have been mothers too.

I'm 18 and me and my family rarely get the opportunity to go on holiday so I'd never ever say no! Just love the idea of spending a week away in the sun all together! But friend holidays are so important and fun too!

I love singing but I am actually tone deaf, music teacher did a test. However they were one short in choir to sing to Princess Anne when she opened my school. My music teacher said i can do it but please PLEASE just mime. That happens to be my claim to fame... I mimed to Princess Anne lol x
My kids still come away with us , the rule is if they come away with us we pay but if they go with friends they pay. But we lived in menorca for 8 years and it's like home from home at the villa ,so they only have to pay for flights if they go with friends , I remember when our eldest first wanted to go abroad with her friends I hated it she went to Australia , the only way I could cope with it was that when I was awake she was asleep and when I was asleep God knows what she got up too 😂 like you I'm all for family I love having them all around me as much as possible and now we have our granddaughter Matilda it's even better.💃🏽💃🏽

I was 14 when I stopped going on holiday with my family. Now I'm 27 with 2 kids, my mam always comes on holiday with us it's really nice for my boys to have their Nanny there 🖤🖤

Gaming - Chill!
In the 80’s I was a girl gamer of epic proportions. In the days of the early computer (pre-Atari /Amiga) it was new and not frowned on ‘oh look she can work a computer’. It was encouraged 😂. It’s relaxing and todays social gaming is collaborative and interesting. It has a much more linear / purposeful feel than browsing RUclips / Safari. I love hopping on Minecraft with my son, I feel refreshed after. Not drained. I would say gaming is a positive force compared to Facebook/insta/twitter/browsing and it feels like you are going from A to B not just white noise and fomo
Yes we need to teach our kids (boys?) to switch off when entertaining. But whatever the draw, I’m sure we all could get sucked into our phones for one reason or another when socializing. It’s a matter of manners. Like switching off the TV in the 80s!
I’ll take gaming over social media any day

I’m a 23yo mother of two and gaming is something I’ve always been into. Its a hobby and in a similar way that some mums sit down with a glass of wine and tv at the end of the day, I sit down on my Xbox. It also helps having a bit of adult conversation at the end of a long day. I see many positives of it as a hobby and it gets such a bad rep, It is easy to get sucked into it though. There are many more girls/women gaming these days. Funnily enough all the women that I’ve met online have been mothers too.

I'm 18 and me and my family rarely get the opportunity to go on holiday so I'd never ever say no! Just love the idea of spending a week away in the sun all together! But friend holidays are so important and fun too!

I love singing but I am actually tone deaf, music teacher did a test. However they were one short in choir to sing to Princess Anne when she opened my school. My music teacher said i can do it but please PLEASE just mime. That happens to be my claim to fame... I mimed to Princess Anne lol x

My kids still come away with us , the rule is if they come away with us we pay but if they go with friends they pay. But we lived in menorca for 8 years and it's like home from home at the villa ,so they only have to pay for flights if they go with friends , I remember when our eldest first wanted to go abroad with her friends I hated it she went to Australia , the only way I could cope with it was that when I was awake she was asleep and when I was asleep God knows what she got up too 😂 like you I'm all for family I love having them all around me as much as possible and now we have our granddaughter Matilda it's even better.💃🏽💃🏽

I went in holiday with just my teenage son once & I still haven’t recovered. He had a strenuous activity for every second of the day. It ended with me pleading ‘ Can I just read the paper for 10 minutes. Please’. Aussie Bob
