I wore my Sanda to a Black Tie event at the weekend. The host, a multi millionaire, liked my watch, and asked about it. I explained it was a VERY cheap chinese watch. It didn't change his opinion. When leaving I gave him the Sanda. Re-ordered one for $12 on Sunday morning. Less than the taxi home! I had owned it for 18 months and this was the first opportunity to wear it as a dress watch. That worked out at about $14 per wear, or less than $1 per month to own At $500 the Soner, while better in every way, would not get the use to justify the cost.
I finally caved in and bought the Sanda tank. It just looks classy and simply. I love fashion and like to play around with different watches, so getting a cheaper one to try out different styles is just more efficient to me. Wearing my watch at work, makes me sometimes wish for a date complication, but you can't have it all I guess ;)
I'd be tempted to go for the thinner quartz version with Soner yano. The automatic is fantastic but the no date and thickness is a big plus. Depends how often you plan on wearing it I suppose. Appreciate you watching mate. Hope all is well with you
Love tank style watches. I have purchased 5 or 6 Sandas, one for me and others as presents for mostly female relatives who love it. I also have an automatic Merkur and my absolute favourite Second Hour Memoir; about £300, quartz and totally gorgeous.
NICE WATCH LOOKS LIKE THE CARTIER SANTOS LIKE YOU SAID YOU WOULD GO FOR THE SANDA I THINK ME TO BACUSE IT LOOKS A LITTLE MORE CARTIER AWESOME VIDEO THANKS
Great video mate! Seiko has a nice ladies tank but it works for men too: SWR083P1 and it only costs £265 (found it a while ago at £210). Been thinking of getting one and reviewing it.
I would go for the Söner. Also, there is a quartz Söner that I would take over the automatic one. About the warranty, 10 years sounds nice, but will they be around for 10 years is the important question.
You really needed to compare the quartz Soner for a better $ comparison but still a worthwhile comparison to do. The Soner is still great value even though costing more.
I agree, but I worked with what I had. I still think it's an interesting comparison to make. As a mechanical movement is an upgrade people would expect over the $100 mark
@@TopTierTicker maybe should have given the quartz cost? Anyway, not to worry. We're all enjoying your content. Keep up the great work 👍 FWIW I don't follow many watch reviewers but there's you, Jody, Andrew Morgan, Peter Kotsa and a new one (to me) Tim Johnson (quite theatric with his budget watches). He spurred me on to seek out a Electrianz Mokaz. I found a second hand one in good knick (supposedly)for half price. Yet to receive it so 🤞 That Soner is something you'd hand down through the family IMO. You can HAVE the Sanda but WANT the Soner. Most of us are needing to pay the mortgage and feed the kids but still want multiple watches.
Being a Casio addict, I thought Casio Tank Ladies watch LTP-V007 wouldn’t be too tiny for my small 6” (male) wrist and ordered one, but I was wrong and I gifted it to my wife ! Now I’m back in the hunt for a men’s affordable Tank and I came across a Tank from “Longbo” as the best alternative for around $15 (here in India). It has a decent review and I’m going to order one.
Yes, those are unfortunately just a bit too small. I would recommend the LTP-B165L for your wrist size. It would fit perfectly. Either way, enjoy your watches man! Thanks for watching
This why I love your videos. You touch on the details that matter to someone wearing the watch. Both watches were wonderful in their way. But try to find a closer alternative than China. What you lose in price get replaced by fuel, pollution, and (eventually) trash. Shrug. UK needs to invest in workers creating a cheap watch at home. Like they did with cars post war.

The contest is even crazy considered the price difference. Just the price alone, Sanda should be given 50 points. Design wise, it definitely look nicer being a Cartier Tank Solo homage, Soner looks so ordinary.
That's fair. I love romans on a dial but I can see how they might be an issue for some, they to make the dial look busy. Appreciate you watching. Stay well
The case on the Soner is way too high for a dress watch. Should have used a SW210 mechanical instead of an automatic to slim the case. Also, dress watches don’t need a seconds hand. Just get a second hand Accutron tank from the 80’s for about $40 dollars and you are going to be much happier.
Got a SANDA a few months ago, SANDA quality is hit and miss. I like the look, the dial is pretty nice and the movement is good. But the lug holes was drilled completely off centre with the watch strap sitting completely skew. I will not recomend it for that reason.
I think the Soner would be better without a second hand, this is one watch style where no seconds and quartz movement makes a lot of sense. I do have the Sanda and its outrageous value
I have the sanda because if you want the look of a cartier for basically no money, there is no better option . The only thing is I hate the stupid name but this soner or whatever its called is even more stupid than sanda.

That's great. Your story perfectly captures why the Sanda is so good!
Sanda for me I think. The Soner does look classy though, I like the dauphine hands.
Cheers for another great video Kieron, hope all's well mate 👍
I have the Sanda 1108 4 only £9.00 its a no Brainier, and i have a Tank Watch in my Collection, and it looks great on the wrist.
100% mate. You also noticed how it looks incredible on almost every single strap? Thing is an absolute beast I tell you!
@TopTierTicker keep up the great work mate 👍

@@TopTierTicker Agreed. I also like the idea of having a second hand less tank watch that will be up and running for a decade.

The Soner looks cheap, honestly.
I mean, it is...
It's not, 500$ is not a cheap watch, may be budget related to some high end watches, but it's not cheap@@TopTierTicker

Zinc is a nutrient. So when it starts to break down your wrist will absorb it, making you healthier. 💯
