It's a kind of sound with a cymbal played together with the explosive kick. In some hardstyle songs, part of the intro has a Boom (i dont know what it calls). Here's a song with a sound that has a boom thing: Adrenalize - All The Memories (0:00/0:26). I'm Sorry tho xD, I really dont know how to explain.
