Great video thanks for doing this. I have a 2011 Mazda2 GS (Canadian model) and it also had the wiring in place. I purchased the switch first and installed to ensure I had voltage at the plugs before buying the fog lamp kit and I did. Love your video's. Keep em coming!

I finally got around to watching this after a rock knocked out one of the fog lights in ours. Came looking for a cheap way to replace it but unfortunately I don't have a 2nd Mazda 2 sitting around that I can get fog lights from :l Guess that means getting it on eBay or OEM for me...
If I had bought/acquired a set for cheap I definitely would have titled the video accordingly. You can get a single replacement fog light assembly for $80 on eBay.
Just got myself a 2014 mazda 2 sport and I've been wondering how to install fog lights since where I live sometimes the fog gets bad enough I couldn't even see the nose of my old car (02 Camaro 35th anniversary t-top). There was a time I ended up in my neighbor's yard since I couldn't see my driveway even with reflective markers.

I just installled off Road lights, but i need to wire them directly to a generic switch button,,, how I can get access to the dashboard? I dont see any hole,, seems its all sealed 😢
Hey Josh - any chance you could do a video of your Fortune 500 coil-overs with comment on spring rate, damping, setting ride height etc. Basically how you find them on street and track along with set up. And when did you say you were fitting that turbo....?
I’m not going to have turbo money for a LONG time, if I ever even decide to do forced induction on this car. lol As far as the coilovers, I could maybe do a review type of video. If I get inspired and think of a good way to present it, I’ll certainly give it a go. 👍🏻

I bought some mazda 2 sports headlights as my mazda2 has the standard headlights would you kno if all the wires would be the same to connect the new ones and would i need to get a fog light switch for the sport headlights as my car doesn't have fog lights or is the switch just for fog lights?
Sure, but why run more wiring (adding a redundant potential fail point) and a switch when you can simply plug one in that’s meant to work with the car? It’s already wired for it…
Did the silver mazda have its own fuse/relay by any chance? I have a tamura version (model year is 2009) which came with both front and rear fog lamps but I can only switch on the rear one as I don't have a switch to turn on the front ones
I can only speak for North American cars, which aren’t equipped with rear fog lights as standard, and everything shown here is what you need for that. If your car came with front fog lights they should turn on with the rear one, yes?
@@HiroshimaSpirit actually they don't, and tbh I was assuming that they might switch on when the low beam is on (which they don't). It might be that I have a missing relay cause there's an empty slot in the fuse box, but I haven't been able to find this relay

No, because anything other than halogen bulbs in a non-projector housing flings light all over the place and blinds/annoys other drivers. (Think every lifted bro truck ever.) I upgraded the halogen bulbs in my headlights to brighter units and with a proper aim, they light the road just as well as any other car. The light just isn’t pure white, which I don’t care about as long as I can see. 👍🏻

So my Mazda2 wife pass it well but the inspector has leave a notice abbout the too low adjustement of the fog lights. So thanks for your quick answer. Thanks! Yeah, I don’t know why you could have gotten that inspection note on lights that can’t be adjusted. Maybe this calls for brighter bulbs to help hide the “problem”.

That’s what I’m told. The plugs on the existing wires plug right into the bulbs, so I’m going to say yes.
Where did you get that center piece for filling in the gap on your front bumper where a plate would go?
It’s factory. They can be found on eBay if yours is missing.

Without the factory switch you’ll have to do some wiring, yes.
Where did you get your headlights? The factory lights on my 2 are really dim. Those look really nice.

Hi notice that the stalk installed only has one fog light symbol. Is that means when you switch it on, both front and rear fog lights are all on?
US-spec 2s don’t have rear fog lights as standard, so no.

Why do you need a new stalk for the fog lights?
To turn them on. Fog lights don’t automatically come on with the headlights. They have their own switch.

In North America we only got one style of light, so I don’t know. As far as the switch, if you don’t have fog lights, there’s no reason to change it.

No. You have to change a lot more on a Sport to get cruise control, apparently.

Why not buy yellow light instead of wrapping it with yellow plastic
They don’t make them with yellow lenses. Also, these are the lights I had, so I didn’t have to buy anything but the yellow vinyl.
Why did you remove the main switch?
I swapped them between cars so the lights would work. The column stalks are different on cars with fog lights vs those without.
